Chicago Bracket
QUOTE(Brian @ Mar 13, 2005 -> 11:26 PM) Salukis over Illinois!! No? Oh well, thought I'd throw it out there. You know what Brian, even though I think OSU is damn good they're going to have their hands full with SIU, the reason I say this is because OSU isn't a huge team and that should really help SIU who's guards can play with anyone's. First SIU has to get past st mary's though, that should be a great game.

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Mar 13, 2005 -> 10:35 PM) Illinois plays at 8:40 central on Thursday. The game time are up at cbssportsline. I also think we should have 4 separate, pinned threads for the tournament, one for each region, or we're gonna have way too many posts in a short period of time and it's going to be impossible to read. Just a suggestion. Krush where do you see the times?? I can't find them there, I'm just probably being an idiot though.

QUOTE(shagar69 @ Mar 13, 2005 -> 09:41 PM) i just read this somewhere: only two times ever has a 13 or lower seed failed to win a first round game. My question is who will it be this year? Nobody stands out to me. A lot of people like Vermont over Cuse but i just dont see it. What do u guys think? I like Vermont and I also like Niagra, no joke.

I really don't understand how Louisville is a 4. I'm going to have an insane amount of upsets in this region.

QUOTE(T R U @ Mar 13, 2005 -> 05:15 PM) how? I meant to say Illinois got f***ed. I personally don't think they'll get out of this region, 'zona and osu are damn good teams but obviously Illinois has the talent to get out of it, they're just in a tough region.

Rockies @ White Sox Game Thread
Unbelievable. I get home from work and el duque is out of the game, the same thing happened when Bmac pitched the last game that was on t.v. I have bad luck. So by the score it looks like Orlando pitched well, how'd he look out there??

Pods = Sox Key to Success
QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Mar 13, 2005 -> 11:57 AM) Here is why. Last season, the Brewers were 42-29 (.592) when he scored a run and 22-61 (.265) when he did not . If he can stay hot like he has been all throughout ST and just be able to get on base, the Sox success rate skyrockets. Whether a walk, HBP, single, dropped-3 strike, or whatever, if Pods gets on base, the Sox will play better. 42-29...that 13 games over .500 and almost a .600 win percentage. He can improve the Sox a lot this year. Another key with Pods is that he doesnt get into long slumps or hitless streaks. Pods was held hitless in more than two straight games only once (three games, 8/21-23). That is amazing. The other factor in this is the Sox 2, 3, 4, and 5 hitters. Are they going to be able to get him over and get him in. I surely hope so. It's up to the first 5 in the order this year. Get ready for an exciting season of White Sox baseball. The leadoff hitter is the key to any team.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 13, 2005 -> 10:57 AM) Thats what I thought. So is the question that will be asked in regards to Northern Iowa is whether there conference deserves 3 teams or not. That may be what gets them in the end. Had SIU won the conference instead of SMS, I think Northern Iowa would of probably been a lock. Now they will probably be the last team in if it happens. I hope they do get in, just not over my Hawkeyes, LOL. I'll be rooting for Dr. Tom. SIU did win the conference.

Pac 10 Championship
QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Mar 12, 2005 -> 05:25 PM) On a sidenote, I would pay $20 to see Will Bynum and Nate Robinson play one on one. Wow, that would be something special to watch.
