QUOTE (sircaffey @ Jan 1, 2012 -> 08:48 PM) Brewer is a different player this year. Very impressive. This. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 1, 2012 -> 09:56 PM) The Bulls are truly dominant. I say rest Rip as long as he needs so the groin injury doesn't pop up again. This.

MLB 2011 Standings Prediction
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 13, 2011 -> 11:16 AM) AL East: Red Sox AL Central: White Sox AL West: A's Wild Card: Yankees NL East: Phillies NL Central: Brewers NL West: Rockies Wild Card: Braves Red Sox-A's White Sox-Yankees Phillies-Brewers Rockies-Braves Red Sox-White Sox Phillies-Braves Red Sox-Phillies Phillies Gross. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 13, 2011 -> 12:04 PM) See, I kind of feel the opposite. I wouldn't be completely shocked if they get overtaken by the Braves in that division, however, if they get into the playoffs, good luck beating those top 4 in a short series. Spot on.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 30, 2011 -> 04:20 PM) the crazy thing is that SIU has talent. This isnt the JUCO crap they rolled out last year, Setty, Daniels, Swan, Taylor, Drinkard, and Whitt could all end up being pretty good players. But not under Lowery, he cannot coach out of a paper bag and thinks that every team he coaches can be coached the same as the 2007 squad. One person on salukitalk put it best, Lowery thinks he can tear kids down and build them back up to the mold of what he wants. He can tear them down no problem(it is what he is currently doing to Taylor, and what he did to the entire squad last season), but he has no idea how to build them back up. So he gets more frustrated with them, and vice versa, and then the kids take off or get arrested and get booted from the team. It really sucks watching what is happening. And it sucks even more that SIU finally made the committment to the facilities and such, only to have Lowery ruin every iota of momentum that the program had. Yes. I don't even want to talk about it anymore soooooo awesome slate of college hoops today, very excited.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 31, 2011 -> 12:36 AM) Didn't catch the last 3 1/2 quarters or so. Going by the boxscore, it looks like the Bulls were pretty impressive. 3-1 so far in games all on the road in less than a week is certainly nothing to be upset about. Oh, and Rose needs to follow LeBron's lead and just abandon the three. LeBron looks more unstoppable than he ever has now that he's not letting defenses off the hook with 3's and long jumpers (he's taken one 3 in 4 games so far). Rose could be similarly unstoppable if he does the same consistently. I'm certainly ok with him not taking a lot of 3s but in no way should he abandon the shot. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 31, 2011 -> 12:43 AM) That's a fair point. But the Heat aren't going to start out 8-7 this time around. They're 4-0 and look worlds better than they did early last year. I'd love to see Derrick not have to do as much. But that's simply not realistic. I guess what I'm saying is the Bulls need that #1 seed again if they have any chance of beating Miami in a 7 gamer. Do they though? Don't get me wrong they're the best team in the NBA but they've played against some teams playing some bad basketball, I actually haven't been that impressed with Miami so far.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 30, 2011 -> 09:10 AM) I said if inefficient Derrick was better, I'd take him. Obviously, I'd love for him to be more efficient, but if to accomplish that he sits by passively and won't attack, forget it. It's just not a good stat to judge Derrick by, he has to deal with and do more than anyone in the NBA. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 30, 2011 -> 09:27 AM) I'll take 16 Pts out of the 2 everyday. Absolutely.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 30, 2011 -> 09:07 AM) ESPNGameDayJMac Jason McCallum There were 15 college basketball games Thursday with fewer points than the Baylor/Washington bowl game. And 3 more with the same. More tds in that game than the Rams have all season.

The Future Of the Rotation

Gio to Washington
QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 27, 2011 -> 06:40 PM) I think this was mostly attributed to his mother...she wanted his brother to play more or something...don't quote me, but there was some sort of ridiculous family member involved if I'm not mistaken... You got it.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 25, 2011 -> 08:10 PM) DeAndre Jordan, Serge Ibaka, JaVale McGee, Joakim Noah. Which one doesn't belong? Noah is second-tier caliber athletic. Noah is faster than all of them, there is more to being an athlete than straight jumping ability...

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 25, 2011 -> 07:06 PM) Stop what? The Bulls were getting spanked when I made that post. The Lakers missed a bunch of FTs, turned the ball over, got f***ed with a no-travel call on Deng (Nobody will complain about that of course) and came back and won. Good for them. All you do in this thread is make incorrect statements and predictions, stick with baseball. And Deng did travel, that you're correct on.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 25, 2011 -> 07:03 PM) This Laker team has to be one of the most unathletic teams of the last 25 years. Fisher, Blake, Murphy, McRoberts, Goldilocks? I'll just assume you have never heard of Goudelock and calling McRoberts unathetic is hilarious.

*Official* Work Out Thread
QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 25, 2011 -> 01:54 PM) X2 Balance & Power is in the books...hard hard hard....I had to modify a few of the moves because I could not balance enough to even do them at all...we're talking doing all kinds of crap while balancing on the stability ball...I don't know if I don't have it pumped up enough, or whether my concrete floors are too slippery, or if I just suck...but I am working on it. Definitely seeing results already though...muscles in my core are starting to come out from hibernation after slacking for several months... Very nice. I started my spring break workout routine and diet last Monday but let me just say that I hate the holidays. After today, absolute perfection for the next 2.5 months. It's going to suck but be awesome at the same time.
