QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Mar 15, 2010 -> 06:40 PM) Let's also not forget that UNI lost to DePaul and Evansville. I'm always leery of taking mid-majors that don't shoot terribly well from the field, don't force turnovers and don't light it up from 3-point range. The Depaul loss is absolutely inexcusable but the Evansville loss while still a terrible one, came while Eglseder was suspsended.

QUOTE (JuiceCruz16 @ Mar 15, 2010 -> 01:14 PM) UTEP to the sweet 16. There the Orange end their mimi cinderella run. The one thing I'm certain on in this tournament is that the winner of UTEP-Butler is going to the sweet 16. I love both UTEP and Butler but UTEP is more athletic, pretty much starts a NBA starting 5 height wise and length wise and Caracter possibly could get Howard in foul trouble and that would pretty much all but end Butlers chances in that game. I have 'Cuse in the final four but if there's anyone in that whole region that I believe can beat them, I think it's the Miners.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 15, 2010 -> 10:40 AM) Take Lowery plz thanks That^ QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Mar 15, 2010 -> 12:18 PM) He is on Depaul's short list. Supposedly, I'll believe it when I see it though. There's absolutely no reason anyone in the world right now would want Lowery, so I've heard all the Depaul rumors but I just can't believe them.

QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 15, 2010 -> 06:27 PM) They can beat ODU and Baylor. Villanova...not so much. ODU is going to give ND fits. That team is extremely long and fantastic defensively. Gerald Lee is going to make gody's life extremely difficult in the post. ODU beats ND in the first round imo.

QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Mar 14, 2010 -> 08:17 PM) Jay Bilas is really loving on Cornell. I like their team too but Elite 8? Wisconsin vs. Kentucky would be and incredibly interesting matchup and Wisco could potentially give UK some fits. I personally have Cornell losing to Temple in the first round but I like the fact that Bilas actually went out on a limb cause most of these experts go all chalk, all the way, all the time.

Your Final Four?
QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Mar 15, 2010 -> 04:22 PM) 1. My hatred of Kentucky supersedes my disbelief in Rick Barnes coaching job this year. 2. This is the first time all year that Kentucky will be matched up with just about equal talent on the court. Texas has to beat Wake first. And I personally have Wake over Texas, that being said, I think that 2nd game whether it's Texas or Wake is going to be Kentucky's most difficult test until the final four(yes, much more than WVU who I don't think is getting passed the first weekend).

QUOTE (kev211 @ Mar 15, 2010 -> 05:28 PM) UNI is going to beat UNLV. I know UNLV is good, but UNI is older more experienced, and a better team. UNLV is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much more athletic. UNLV is going to give UNI fits. I think it's going to be a fantastic game but the perimeter d is going to be difference here and UNLV I think is going to take them down. That game and the Butler-UTEP game should be two of the better games in the first rounds, those are 4 teams that could have at least made it to the sweet 16 with a better draw(the winner of Butler and UTEP is with out a doubt going to the s16) but they got matched up with each other.

I've never picked a more chaotic region in my lifetime as this one. This is going to be absolutely nuts.

QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Mar 14, 2010 -> 05:33 PM) They say teams like Virginia Tech need to schedule more teams in the non-conference, why isn't the same principle applied to a team like Utah St.? Cause it's pretty much impossible for a team like Utah State to schedule tough opponents. If I were a Illinois fan, I'd actually have more beef with UTEP getting in. I honestly believe that UTEP is the best team out of all the bubble teams, however, they had the worst resume imo. Utah State at least had a great win against BYU, UTEP has absolutely nothing.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 14, 2010 -> 07:52 PM) UNI has very little in the way of quality wins. VERY little. ODU and Siena are two pretty solid ooc wins. And no matter how you feel about the Valley, it's still the 9th ranked conference this year and they absolutely destroyed everyone in the regular season and won the conference tournament. They also have the 17th rpi and are 4 and 1 against the top 50. They deserved a 7 seed. That being said, they got a terrible matchup in the first round. The one thing that UNI doesn't have is athletic guards and that's exactly what UNLV does have. UNLV is absolutely fantastic guarding the perimeter and with their length and quickness, I think they're going to give UNI fits. UNI has the advantage in the post but overall I think UNLV is just going to be too tough, I do think it's going to be a fantastic game though.

Big 10 Tournament
QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Mar 13, 2010 -> 04:15 PM) We should be in. It's pretty plain and simple in my eyes The rpi is ugly and the losses to Utah and Bradley could hurt. That being said, 5 rpi top 50 wins is pretty much more than all the bubble teams and having 2 of those come on the road(especially having one at Kohl) is absolutely huge and should be enough to get you guys in, imo.

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Mar 13, 2010 -> 04:01 PM) Evan Turner = Scottie Pippen Part 2. They are so similar. I'm a huge Turner fan but like Mr. Wall, he needs to watch the turnovers. And now he's fouled out, that's obviously huge...

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 13, 2010 -> 01:49 PM) I'm just going to say it, UTEP shouldn't get in with that loss today. They haven't beaten a single team that is going to get an at large bid this year. I actually agree. They're easily one of the best 65 teams imo and they're better than all the bubble teams if you ask me, however, their resume is completely terrible and based on that alone, they really don't deserve to be in the field.

ACC Tournament
QUOTE (danman31 @ Mar 12, 2010 -> 09:20 PM) I really don't think so. It's certainly not clear, it's at the very least close. I don't see how you see it as clearly a foul. He got fouled. That's what he gets for being an ass though.

ACC Tournament
QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Mar 12, 2010 -> 11:13 PM) I wouldn't be shocked if no ACC teams made the Sweet 16. Duke will have the best chance, but a #1 vs #8/#9 is going to be really tough for them. Nobody is getting passed the sweet 16 and I agree, only Duke has a shot at the s16 and they have to have a decent 8/9 matchup otherwise there is a good shot they'll lose in the 2nd round.

Arizona State in a lot of trouble right now, could be another bubble team going down in their first game, crazyness. And even though UTEP pretty much has 0 quality wins this season, the individual size and talent on that team is quite impressive.

And UAB goes down. The only team I can possibly see UTEP losing to now is Marshall, so there's a pretty good shot that CUSA will be a 1 bid league. That being said, that tournament is already crazy so who knows.

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Mar 11, 2010 -> 04:52 PM) If you are looking for overrated teams, look no further than New Mexico. They will likely end up with a #2 or #3 seed and have about as much of a chance of reaching the Sweet 16 as I do of having a baby with Jessica Alba. I concur QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Mar 11, 2010 -> 05:00 PM) That's gonna be the case with seeds 1-6 all over the place this year though. Agreed as well, however, New Mexico has one of the higher probabilities of all the high seeds to get knocked off early imo.

QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Mar 11, 2010 -> 03:18 PM) Thank God Pretty much killed UAB's at large hopes too. UAB is going to have to win the conference tourny most likely now as well to get in.
