    Sox Win

Loved the squeeze, loved the hit and run and I even loved the pull back swing by Danks. I wish we'd do that type of stuff more often. Great win today, very fun game to watch.
  2. As long as they're not playing the Sox or the A.L. Central, I just don't care about them at all. They're just another team to me.
  3. And I've probably said this now for 5 or 6 straight seasons but I'd pay a lot of money to see Ozzie or Hawk just beat the crap out of Hineybird.
  4. I wish that guy nothing but the best. Good luck, Shingo!
  5. I would bet a lot of money that Plax wont go to jail.
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 12, 2009 -> 12:10 PM) It's like whatever attitude a person has, Ozzie has to do the exact opposite. If a person is a little scared, Ozzie insists they get over their fears. If a person is cocky, Ozzie puts them on the bench and screws with them until they're no longer cocky. Interesting point. Unfortunately, great players in any sport need to be cocky imo. So trying to scare that out of them isn't a good thing imo.
  7. Old ass man. Happy bday, bro.
  8. QUOTE (watchtower41 @ Jun 12, 2009 -> 11:53 AM) Ozzie must really hate Beckham.... is he serious? I've heard no negative comments coming from Ozzie on Saint Gordon. If anything Ozzie was actually kinda being sarcastic that everyone thought this call up would be the second coming of Longoria, except 10x better. Kinda of a mirrored opinion from McDowell. "He's very cocky." 'You guys [the media] do a pretty good PR department for Beckham,'' Guillen said. ''I've been in Chicago for 17 years, playing and coaching. Has anybody been 0-for-whatever he is, he hasn't got booed yet? He hit a ground ball to second base and got a standing ovation from the fans [the other day]. Somebody hit a ground ball right at him, and he got another standing ovation. Good job, guys. Keep it up. I hope he sells a lot of shirts, but I need production.'' I'm certainly not going to say Ozzie hates Beckham cause that's pretty ridiculous at this point but he certainly hasn't had one good thing to say about him since Spring Training.
  9. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Jun 12, 2009 -> 11:25 AM) except the 1st game of the double header he has played, right? I think if Oz actually started to bench him the team would send him back to AAA He has sat 2 games already.
  10. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 12:03 AM) Ozzie meet Robin Ventura, your old teammate. He turned out fine. Take the advice you gave us about Wise's ABs. Didn't even see your post when I posted mine. That's exactly what I thought of, he'll stick up for Wise who has no f***in talent. But the best prospect this organization has had in years, must produce in his first 4 games otherwise he's just a hype machine. You're awesome, Ozzie.
  11. Just compare the way Ozzie talks about Wise not producing and Beckham not producing in his first 4 games. It's beyond ridiculous. Ozzie is a f***in nut job. Whether you like Ozzie or not, it's a scary thought to have him managing some of these young guys with in the next few years.
  12. I honestly haven't felt this good about the future in quite some time. We have some real nice building blocks already in the majors and some actual talent in the minors. Not to mention, we're going to have plenty of money to play with. This team has a bright future.
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 09:42 PM) Bulls***. It is about more than failed prospects. Danny Wright is a perfect comparison. Wright was a guy who had horrible ERA and W-L at the college level, but had great strikeout numbers. They took and him and made a couple of mechanical changes, and he became an effective major leaguer until be blew out his shoulder. It would have really been interesting to see what Wright did if his shoulder didn't give out. Danny Wright never had an era under 5.
  14. QUOTE (whitesoxmanager @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 09:18 PM) do you even know who the f*** carlton fisk is? he wouldve been blocking the plate and the ball wouldve been placed right in his mit. he wouldve invited terror into the tv sets in chicago. the other guy wouldve crushed into him. fisk wouldve rose from the cloud of dirt thrown off his mask and smiled at the bastard. GET IT? or do you enjoy the little pussball? I have no idea how to respond to this.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 09:13 PM) ? Now, I just hope Jenks isn't injured and the reason he's not pitching is cause he's being traded. I disagree. It seems that everytime Jenks comes into a non save situation he lets up a run. I agree with you on every other non move Ozzie has made today, but not this one.
  16. That's about right. Well that 5 minutes was fun. Unf***inreal.
  17. QUOTE (whitesoxmanager @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 09:09 PM) carlton fisk wouldve been standing right in front of home and made wise man up. i miss that aspect of the AL. we are becoming more p**** every damn day. So he would have stood in front of the plate and had no chance to catch the ball?
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 09:07 PM) This has got to be Jenks coming in. Jenks in a non save situation scares the s*** out of me.
  19. I don't think the ump called him safe, think he just got out of the way and he was out anyways.
  20. TIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDD IT UP. f***, WISE OUT BUT YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
