  1. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Oct 26, 2007 -> 01:42 PM) And... Scrubs > all South Park > all.
  2. QUOTE(29andPoplar @ Nov 1, 2007 -> 02:54 PM) The organization neither screwed him or lied to him. He'd been told multiple times the work he needed to put in to get better, he didn't. This is a guy who watches TV in the clubhouse instead of studying film. The White Sox are not in the business of wanting their players to fail. It's no one's fault but his own that he's acting unprofessionally. I'm tired of arguing about Brian Anderson since it doesn't even matter anymore, I'll just say that i disagree.
  3. QUOTE(YASNY @ Nov 1, 2007 -> 01:14 PM) I just don't want a 40 year old CF'er making $15 a year. Think Erstad when you think about Torii in a few years. This team is already getting too old to add more long in the tooth long term commitments. I agree, that's why I said if the money is right(years go with that as well). I like Torrii a lot as a player, I think he brings a lot to any team but I also don't want to sign him to a long term deal, the problem is to get a quality cf we're most likely going to have to overpay for someone. We'll see how everything plays out but taking the financials out of the equation for a second, I'd love to have Hunter on this team.
  4. Well he got screwed by this organization and now he's acting very unprofessional. I really couldn't care less at this point, he was never going to play for this team again, I guess after being lied to by the organization he just finally lost it.
  5. If the money is right, I'll take Torrii in a heart beat.
  6. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Nov 1, 2007 -> 02:28 AM) Candy corn just gets old quickly. It is delicious, but there's only so much of it I can stand. Ditto.
  7. Durant's going to be a very good player but I can see a lot of these type of games this season from him.
  8. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 31, 2007 -> 01:58 PM) http://www.collegehumor.com/picture:1785195 Thats my boy. http://www.collegehumor.com/halloween Vote for SnB! Ha, Steve you're such a towel.
  9. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 31, 2007 -> 05:27 PM) Did Kobe veto the deal because Ben was going? That would have been a fantastic deal for Chicago, imo, as they would have had the flexibility to go out and pick up a center via trade. No. And that deal would have been absolutely amazing, I'm pretty down that this didn't happen.
  10. Chat still doesn't work for me even though I've signed up. Weird.
  11. QUOTE(greg775 @ Oct 30, 2007 -> 11:59 AM) I call bulls*** on that. Joe Crede is Brooks Robinson. The modern day Brooks Robinson. Really? I mean honestly?
  12. I'm with 101 on this one, completely. Gordon becomes so damn useless if Kobe is on this team. Keep Deng and Kirk, get Kobe and win the East.
  13. Joe Crede is the most underrated, overrated player on this team. I know that doesn't make sense but it's true.
  14. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Oct 28, 2007 -> 10:31 PM) He isnt leaving the Yankees because of his overwhelming commitment to winning. Teams that go to the playoffs 13 years in a row are the best bet. Getting in is half the battle. He is doing this to get a very very large payday. Whomever gives him the largest payday over the longest period of time and has the best endorsement deals is the winner. The winning capability will only factor in on a tie. I dont care what it takes or how many years, you sign Arod. His impact to the financials for the franchise will offset his salary. You immediately trade Konerko to the Angels to restock the system a bit, and put Fields at first. Thome, Arod, Dye, and Fields would be serious power. Arod as he gets older could slip into the DH position, and he will break records in our bandbox of a park. The revenue from him would be silly. You know I agree with all of this and ARod is my favorite player in baseball who isn't currently or hasn't played for the Sox before, but I'd still have a hard time just throwing a massive amount of money at him. He's such an interesting case for all the reasons that you said but another problem is that you'd have to base your whole offseason on his decision and we all know that Boras clients don't decide anything early.
  15. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Oct 28, 2007 -> 07:28 PM) Fantasy people with Tom Brady -- like me -- have to love how New England continues to pound teams in the second half, even after the opposing team is holding up a white flag. The league I'm in, QB touchdowns/yards aren't worth as much as RB or WR touchdowns/yards, and Brady is still one of the highest point players in the league. This week he even helps by getting into the endzone twice on his feet, three times through the air and throwing for 300. He is my fantasy team in one of my leagues and I'm tied for first.
  16. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Oct 26, 2007 -> 09:17 AM) I can see you still need some time with your therapist to get all of the Duke fan out of you. :-P. I can't see UCLA ahead of UNC, and I'm totally unbiased. UCLA can match up pretty well with Collison, Shipp, Mbah a Moute, and Love. But even after Lawson, Ellington, Ginyard, and Hansbrough UNC just outclasses them with experienced depth. Really depends what style the game would come down to. If UCLA could slow it down, they could win, but if UNC can push it then it's over. Still, you wouldn't find a more fun matchup to watch than Love/Hansbrough and Collison/Lawson. I would bet a decent amount of money that Love and Hansbrough would get into a fight. I honestly think you could go 1a. UNC, 1b. Memphis, 1c. UCLA. All 3 have their reasoning and tournament success to back it up. UNC actually has the least amount of tourney success in the past 2 years of the group, and they were beat by final four George Mason and final four Georgetown. I'm really getting tired of George. As for Duke, there's no reasoning for putting them ahead of NC State. State has a ridiculous amount of talent in the frontcourt, Gavin Grant and Courtney Fells as double digit scorers on the wins, and newcomer Farnold Degand(sorry Heads) set to take over at PG. I can't argue with any of that to be honest. Still, if I were ranking the teams I'd have Memphis at 1, UCLA at 2 and UNC at 3(obviously at number 3 UNC has no shot at winning the National Championship ). Obviously it's just my opinion but I love how UCLA looks right now, with Love they can basically slot everyone down a spot(mata 4, moute 3, ship 2, collison staying at the point) and they also have that inside scoring threat that they've been lacking the last two years. Definitely agree about the tempo, if these two match up some time in March whoever can make the other play at their speed will win.
  17. Glad to see us in the top 25 to start the season, doesn't mean much but it's just more good pr for this program. Guess we have to knock off number 9 on December 1. Not that I don't think UNC is a great team but imo Memphis and UCLA are the two best teams in the country.
  18. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Oct 25, 2007 -> 01:31 PM) I've never played Monopoly. /waits for SnB's angry reponse I feel like I've already yelled at you for this too but still, you're a communist.
  19. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Oct 25, 2007 -> 01:05 PM) Glad to see Martin Zeno on there as well, he should have a big year. All 12 of us TTU basketball fans appreciate it. There's at least 16 of you, cmon. Anyways, Memphis is playing SLU in an exhibition game, interesting...
  20. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Oct 25, 2007 -> 06:28 AM) Who is Randal Falkner? Dont know that guy Ya, that's pretty bad. At least Randal's evil twin made the list though.
