  1. 50 preseason Wooden Award candidates: http://woodenaward.cstv.com/ot/08-m-baskbl...candidates.html
  2. I've never left the country and don't have any desire to. Never seen any of the Star Wars movies.
  3. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 11:19 AM) unless I'm forgetting a team A-Rod actually took to the World Series much less won it with. This argument sucks ass.
  4. This trade didn't make much sense to me when it happened but nobody is winning this thing as of yet. IMO, Brandon will be the better pitcher but we'll have to see, hopefully I'm wrong.
  5. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 12:18 AM) If he's capable of playing SS, Alex Cintron shouldn't come near the 2008 team. I'd love to see a scenario where Bourgeois makes the team and Mackowiak is (cheaply) brought back, but I'd bet on the Sox going with the old-and-busted (Cintron + Erstad). Agreed. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 12:49 AM) Its weird though, he's a minor league free agent come spring, and the team hasn't added him to the 40. It seems like they aren't interested. I just don't get why. Who knows, maybe they have, they still don't have Eggy listed there either.
  6. I think it's time to at least start paying attention to Bourgeois.
  7. And Aaron Cook is on the roster and is supposed to start game 4 for Colorado. If he is healthy, that's absolutely huge for the Rocks.
  8. QUOTE(knightni @ Oct 23, 2007 -> 10:01 PM) You gotta register and sign in on the site. Understood.
  9. Chat doesn't work for me either.
  10. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 23, 2007 -> 06:10 PM) No, bring it to Vermillion and I guarantee atleast 1 person will be there What's a Vermillion? You and heads need to move.
  11. QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Oct 23, 2007 -> 06:50 PM) What's everyone's favorite World Series? 2005.
  12. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Oct 23, 2007 -> 04:27 PM) Haha yah i completely forgot about that. http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn41...29/ai_n13855132 That is the best moment of Stevenson school, especially if I remember the victim correctly. Whats funny is that the members of the 2002 team were the ones subjected to that, as in 2000 they would have been sophmores. Its just a shame that while I some what knew the people who perpetrated it, I was no longer at the school. Ah yes, I remember that.
  13. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Oct 23, 2007 -> 01:58 PM) Stevenson hasnt been good since Kyle "Real World" Brandt and QB Keller went there. Lies. We made it to the State Championship my sophomore year there. Good times indeed.
  14. Yay, I can actually listen live tonight.
  15. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Oct 23, 2007 -> 09:42 AM) Well Warren and Stevenson are in trouble, that's what hapens when you go 6-3 and 5-4 though. Warren has to play at Loyola, whose only 2 losses were a tight 20-17 loss at Providence and another tight 31-24 loss at home to Mt. Carmel, the consensus #1 team in the state regardless of class. Meanwhile, Stevenson gets to play at Fremd, who went 9-0 and most noteably in that stretch handed Lake Zurich it's only loss all season, and also happened to do it on the road, and Fremd has a 30 game winning streak in their conference. Pssh, no problem. We'll probably get blown out but with a down year like this it's just nice to keep the playoff streak alive.
  16. There isn't a franchise in sports that I dislike more than the Red Sox.
  17. Well this sucks, I've always wanted the Rocks to win but now I really, really, really want them to win.

    Saw IV

QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Oct 20, 2007 -> 06:35 PM) Do the sequels stand up to the original? IMO, no. Obviously some people do like 2 and 3 but I think each movie has gotten worse than the one before.
  19. QUOTE(Brian @ Oct 20, 2007 -> 09:50 AM) How you like me now, Justin? Booyah! Both teams in the playoffs. Well you and Warren still suck. And yay for playoffs, I don't know a lot about this team but it's pretty impressive for them to get in after that start. Well done Mitz.
  20. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Oct 20, 2007 -> 07:55 AM) The main issue I think with all of this, if the Sox go out and sign A-Rod to a $25-$30M per season deal this off-season, are the Sox going to be able to fill other needs? Are they going to be able to bring in 2, 3 new guys for the pen? Are we going to be able to upgrade at one of the OF spots? Because as good of a player as A-Rod is, you fill those needs with some good players, and this team can easily make the playoffs next season. Well right, I think that's why everything depends on if JR thinks ARod can make that money back on his own(if that makes sense). If he thinks he can and he's still willing to spend more money than it's a no brainer, but if not than it's also a no brainer to not sign him.
