Ozzie's thoughts on Brian Anderson
QUOTE(SoxAce @ Sep 6, 2006 -> 11:29 PM) You can add Luis Castillo to that list and many others. I'm just dissapoitned by him cause dude seriously underacheived as a baserunner. He should be stealing 40-50+ every year. Injuries have slowed Castillo down. He definitely used to be a stolen base threat.

Ozzie's thoughts on Brian Anderson
QUOTE(southsideirish @ Sep 6, 2006 -> 11:10 PM) You counted my posts in this thread? Strange dude, strange. Yup, I was just thinking to myself "what the hell, lets count up all of ssi's posts, I got nothing better to do." That or I just clicked on the replies and it showed me, you can decide.

Ozzie's thoughts on Brian Anderson
QUOTE(southsideirish @ Sep 6, 2006 -> 11:07 PM) He has ripped Pods and his defense. He has started to platoon Pods. What more do you want him to do? Hasn't he ripped Garcia's fastball? I believe he has. Who cares who he rips? I really don't understand it. They players aren't crying or upset about it. Why the hell are you? Grow some thicker skin and move on. For the love of God man. Whe freaking cares. WHAAAAAA!!!!!!!! Well you obviously do considering you have like 60 posts in this thread.

Ryan Sweeney
QUOTE(SoxHawk1980 @ Sep 6, 2006 -> 10:04 PM) Then you'd lose your $$. It is a short stint and he won't be a regular, so it is a small sample size, but I think .240/.295/.340 is more likely. This guy has never hit well at any level above rookie league. He had a .721 OPS in A-ball in 2004. He followed that with a .738 OPS in a band box stadium in AA in 2005. He's showed some improvement this year up to a mediocre .802 OPS again in AA. Now he jumps all the way up to the majors and fans think he's going to succeed? This isn't addressed to anyone in particular, but I hate it when fans see a "sweet swing" and a "good approach" and automatically think that a touted rookie is going to produce immediately. That's pretty damned rare. It is even more rare when a player's minor league performance wasn't particularly impressive. In fact, Sweeney's minor league performance was quite unimpressive. Uhh?????????

Ozzie's thoughts on Brian Anderson
I'm done with this topic. Brian Anderson is becoming a damn good player and if you guys who have watched this team all season long can't figure that out then, well whatever...

Ozzie's thoughts on Brian Anderson
QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Sep 6, 2006 -> 01:07 PM) He's looked pretty clueless over the last week. I'm not sure that's my definition of giving a damn. It's been 3 freakin games.

Ozzie's thoughts on Brian Anderson
QUOTE(Wealz @ Sep 6, 2006 -> 12:47 PM) In his last 10 games, Anderson is 6-for-27 with 1 run batted in. Overall on the road this season, his line is an embarrassing .204/.283/.299. He has knocked in 7 runs in 167 road AB's. Nice. You took 3 rough days in a row at the plate and spread it over 10 games to make it look like he's really been struggling for the last week and a half.

Ozzie's thoughts on Brian Anderson
The reason this is all bugging me is because it's so painfully obvious that Ozzie has no clue about his own players and team. Ozzie has no freakin idea how good of a player BA has become.

Has this team quit?
QUOTE(Hangar18 @ Sep 6, 2006 -> 09:06 AM) WOW. Thats pathetic. I posted our record since the All-Star Break ......but it was deleted. This division was there for the taking. Even with all of the trouble the SOX had with the pitching and hitting, it was still winnable. Too much Mackowiak in CF, too much Thome batting 3rd, too much leaving Vazquez in too long. The games where these guys made the "difference", happens to be the same difference we are behind. This is one thing that I believe had absolutely nothing to do with the Sox being horrid for so long now.

Are the Sox "fun bad"??
This team makes me want to stab myself in the eye. So if that's fun, then yes.

Ozzie's thoughts on Brian Anderson
Seriously, Brian Anderson is one of the only players who has done his freakin job the 2nd half of the season and he's the one getting called out, beautiful. I mean no rookie should ever struggle their first two full months of major league ball, so because of that lets look at his batting average on a whole. Ozzie Guillen might want pitching and defense but being one of the better defensive centerfielders in baseball means absolutely nothing if you struggle for the first two months of your major league career. Heads must be right, Brian Anderson is a communist, that's the only explanation I got.

Ozzie's thoughts on Brian Anderson
After thinking about it for a bit, I don't think there is a person in major league baseball that I hate more than Ozzie Guillen right now.
