  1. How the hell can you even make a movie about that?
  2. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 12:06 AM) I'll bet anything on this that I'm right. I'd take that bet.
  3. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 12:04 AM) No, that was the next day's game. The game he was terrible in RF was Loaiza against Zambrano. Gload hit a slam in the 1st inning, but it was overturned. The Cubs swept us that series. No, the game he stunk was at the Cell. The winds were nuts that day and he had no chance basically all day.
  4. QUOTE(ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 11:57 PM) is he really that awful in LF??? Cuz his bat would help this team so much He's not good but our starting left fielder isn't exactly amazing out there either.
  5. QUOTE(MarlinFan84 @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 01:47 AM) Poor Raiders fans. They actually have to deal with Aaron Brooks being the starting QB...probably for the entire year. Is there a worse full time starting QB in the NFL than Brooks? I dont think so, as his horribleness knows no bounds. He's not good but today was much more about their offense line being horrendous compared to him being awful.
  6. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 01:58 AM) I think we should just go with a 3 man rotation... Buehrle and Garcia havent done much for me to have faith in them in a playoff game. And Buehrle even with his A game isnt as good as the A game of Contreras/Vazquez and Garland has been our ace the 2nd half so cant go away from him. As of right now, I can't argue with that. Unfortunately, it seems to be proven historically iirc that pitchers on 3 days rest struggle in the playoffs. Still if the playoffs started today I'd take my chances with one of those 3 on 3 days rest compared to pitching Freddy or Mark in a game.
  7. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 12:43 AM) Not where I come from lol, good answer.
  8. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 12:41 AM) You can say that about 4 of our 5 starters. As a matter of fact when will we see our starters not named Garland actually put up a 0 against the opposition? Hell Count was the last to do it and he did it on Aug 11 (1 month, 1 day from now) But as of right now, I'll settle a TON for our starters to pitch well (1-3 earned). Shutting down and shutting out are two different things sir.
  9. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 12:28 AM) Questionable move, for cripes sakes Bobby is our closer. What the hell are you all talking about. Sure he's been rusty since coming back from an injury but I think he's proven himself over the course of two seasons that we should have faith in the guy. I think people are still worried about Bobby's health, I know I am. If he's healthy, then yes he should get the ball no questions asked but the last time I saw him pitch(the ajp game) he was definitely lacking his good stuff. Now, I couldn't watch the game today so how did his stuff look? Another thing that always usually gets Bobby when he's struggling is the location of his fastball. It seems when he struggles his fastball is usually down around the knees instead of right above the belt where it should be. Anyways, hopefully he actually is healthy and can be the Bobby we've all come to love.
  10. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 12:09 AM) Its better and I got to admit, I'm feeling a lot better because Vazquez/Garland/Contreras when pitching like they have been the past couple starts give us 3 formidable guys to throw out in the playoffs. When it comes to Buehrle/Garcia I got very little faith. Same can be said for anyone in our pen not named MacDougall, Thorton or Jenks. I think that about sums it up right there.
  11. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 11, 2006 -> 11:39 PM) OFFENSIVE EXPLOSION!!1 Here comes 3 sacks in a row now. The Raiders are an embarrassment.
  12. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 11, 2006 -> 11:35 PM) Yep, Merriman now has 3 sacks and Philip Rivers has attempted all of 9 passes and they have run the ball 42 times. BORING! If SD just once ran a play action on first down and went deep, they'd probably score a touchdown.
  13. Big, Big W. Hopefully we get a consistant JC the rest of the year. Try to pitch like the old Mark Buehrle tomorrow, Mark. Thanks.
  14. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 11, 2006 -> 11:23 PM) This game is at a standstill. NO OFFENSE AT ALL. Well the Raiders offensive line is playing one of the worst games I've ever seen. The Chargers on the other hand refuse to throw the ball.
  15. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 11, 2006 -> 09:20 PM) "Walks just clog up the basepaths." Anyone else excited to see what Philip Rivers brings to the table? Well I can't watch the Sox game so yes I'm very excited to see what Rivers has, as I'm expecting a big year out of him.
