  1. Ok, this is going to hurt to say BUT I agree with Jay. Oh boy, shoot me now.
  2. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Sep 14, 2006 -> 01:54 AM) I've got a date Saturday that's moved from the Calypso Cafe to movie-watching in my bedroom because of my knee-brace. Genius man, genius.
  3. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 12:57 PM) I will never buy that it was a full government conspiracy, however I also will never buy that we had no idea it was coming, and it's still inexcuseable that the "greatest country ever" could let something that catastrophic happen on it's own soil. Why is this in quotes?
  4. QUOTE(Texsox @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 06:46 PM) As much as I would like to say the politically correct thing, it's sad a great talent, blah blah blah. I really don't care. When I saw that on ESPN, I said YEAH! I hope he returns next season and wins 30, for a NL team. Yup. I might be an asshole because of that but oh well, that's exactly how I felt.
  5. BTW, that's two really good games in a row. That being said we all know he has a ton of work to do but was there really any need for this thread? We should try to enjoy as many wins as we get down the stretch here.
  6. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 06:26 PM) I know I'd love to, but I am just a poor college kid afterall. Definitely looking into it though. Oh jeez, if wite goes, I'm there for sure.
  7. QUOTE(Brian @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 06:17 PM) Best college days ever! Sucks you have such a long walk from yoru room to buildings. Ya, that's pretty much the worst part about everything. It'll be nice to have an apartment next year. 50 days 'till Saluki bball, sir.
  8. Someone wanna pick me up from Carbondale and take me?
  9. That Gooch play was one of the most interesting things I've ever seen in baseball. In hindsight it's pretty f'n funny.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 05:08 PM) He used to be a pest...but didn't he just suck against us in the ALCS last year? Well our pitchers basically just shut everyone down but Kennedy is definitely one guy I hate to see up in big time situations. Always seems to have good ab's.
  11. I actually said to my friends who I'm watching the game with: "Adam Kennedy will break this up." That guy is a f***in pest. Anyways, fantastic Freddy, f'n awesome.
  12. I made a post right after his initial injury that I thought he'd maybe get 1 or 2 more starts and then he'd get hurt again and would be out for the year, you could pretty much see this coming. Liriano is a stud but he's going to have injury problems throughout his career.
  13. So I had the easiest day of classes ever today. When I get to my theatre class there is a sign on the door that says that class has been cancelled. So I had two hours to do nothing in between that class and my english class. Anyways, once my english starts, the teacher walks in 5 minutes late and tells us that he didnt have the reading with him that we were going to do in class, so he just let the class out.
  14. What a great organization and an amazing streak. I'm almost disappointed to see it end.
  15. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 01:33 PM) What I post on the internet is not going to have ANY EFFECT WHAT SO EVER ON THE TEAM'S PLAY. I disagree. I know for a fact that last year Aaron Rowand got his motivation from reading Kalapse posts.
  16. I bet he was a straight A student.
  17. Too bad, I was looking forward for an opportunity to b**** at Ozzie.
  18. So honestly with being back at school and not being able to watch a ton of games, the one thing I find myself missing the most is DJ.
  19. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 01:08 AM) I knew we wouldn't be catching all the breaks like we did last year, but yikes. The baseball gods are sure coming down on us with vengeance, or so it seems. It's because they don't like communists and since Brian Anderson is one, they hate us.
