  1. No jail time in exchange for his cooperation. Names are coming out folks.
  2. QUOTE (Texsox @ Feb 11, 2009 -> 12:00 PM) He could, and open himself up to speculation from his next opponent who would paint him as soft on drugs, and awe struck by a celebrity. People would ask why he didn't investigate further. A case was handed to him on a silver platter, if he fumbled it, who would ever vote for him? Or, if it isn't an elected official, why would his bosses not fire him? The picture was one piece of evidence. Cops then investigate to see if they can find more evidence. They don't just stop at one part. Complete waste of time for them, but also career suicide if they didnt pursue the case. f***ed either way.
  3. QUOTE (WCSox @ Feb 11, 2009 -> 11:37 AM) Agreed. And, despite Abreu's better OBP, I'd rather have Dye than him. IMO, the only positive to landing Abreu would've been the opportunity to deal Dye for a leadoff hitter. I sure as hell wouldnt. Abreu would be a ridiculous OBP and RBI guy for us. He's a better clutch hitter with men on base and would get on base himself in front of a ton of power. I would have packed Dye's bags for him if we could have traded him.
  4. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Feb 11, 2009 -> 11:23 AM) This kind of ticks me off. He could've been a huge difference maker in our lineup, for cheap. Should've found a way to move someone. It was a window of opportunity, now closed. Why would anyone take Dye at double that cost? There was no market for us to move anyone.
  5. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Feb 11, 2009 -> 10:51 AM) Lou, lol, well he was our starting point guard. Seems to explain the way they have played these last couple games. Apparently the team is very clique-y and are not getting along well at the moment. Shame to see us lose such a talented team due to chemistry issues. I don't put much into chemistry but in basketball it can really help or hurt you. I remember seeing Jank yelling at him because he wouldn't give the ball to Osiris. Ah, so their chemistry explains their fall from basketball greatness.
  6. Well if that is a fake deal, its a good thing Tyrus has been blowing up lately because he is one of our only good trade chips, the rest have bloated contracts.
  7. QUOTE (daa84 @ Feb 11, 2009 -> 09:01 AM) look at how much the economy has changed just over the course of this offseason...Raul Ibanez who is a year older than Abreu got 3 years 30 mil....and now abreu signed for 1 year 5...wow I think Milton Bradley's contract is going to go down as the worst this offseason.
  8. We couldnt make room for him so the Angels got him. JD's market dried up due to his contract.
  9. QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Feb 10, 2009 -> 03:51 PM) What does a schools past have to do with any of it? If it was the same coach for all the years there maybe would be a better point. You are correct, its even worse that he comes from a spread option attack which doesnt really prepare players too well for the NFL.
  10. ESPN has the Bears taking Harvin with their pick, which I think is a really stupid guess at a pick. Im not sure why we would get a guy who grades out alot like Devin Hester.
  11. Cubs wont win their division because of the implosion of the back end of the bullpen. White Sox end up in 3rd place, and trade 2 vets at the deadline for top prospects. Diamondbacks win the WS.
  12. How many people would inject themselves with a substance without knowing what it is? How many people would be able to know how to cycle on and off a PED over a time period of three years and also being able to choose the ones are most beneficial to your sport as well as which ones dont stay in your system very long without knowing what it is you are putting in your body. We arent that stupid A-rod.
  13. QUOTE (juddling @ Feb 10, 2009 -> 08:48 AM) Well...as promised in a couple different interviews...on Heroes last night we lost a hero. I just didn't think it would be I dont think she's dead, we see her in the future so she cant be dead, it uses the same logic she used with Hiro.
  14. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 10, 2009 -> 08:31 AM) I can't believe people still tune in to MTV. I don't even have it programmed in my favorites anymore. I would prob watch it more if it was in HD. My rotation is pretty much 99 percent HD channels and VH1
  15. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Feb 8, 2009 -> 11:55 AM) If someone can sign Abreu for $3M then why would they take Dye who is making about $12M? Reading these post one would think Dye should be valued at about $150K for all the respect he is given.. Dye is superior to Abreu IMO. Not that Bobby isn't a good player, but if he is still unsigned and only worth $3M then maybe there is something more wrong than just the economy? That can be your opinion all you want, but facts paint a different story, and that story is that Abreu is a MUCH better hitter than Dye and is about equal in the field. Abreu is a better player and would bring alot more to this team on the field than Dye.
  16. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 9, 2009 -> 04:10 PM) LOL. It seems whenever I go see what the Soxtalk crew is playing inevitably it will say "The_Rockraines is playing Rock Band". I played for about 36 hours straight this weekend. I played for the first time last week and have made it to hard difficulty on easy songs at this point.
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 9, 2009 -> 04:28 PM) Ahhhh, I can see Sutter's hands around Arny's neck right now! Or go back just a bit further and we can talk about Theo Fleury!
  18. Bye Bye any chance at the HOF. Now we have you admitting you cheated, we have the statistical evidence you cheated, we have awards you won because of cheating. Go f*** yourself
  19. Seriously, im addicted to Rock Band, and its sad.
  20. QUOTE (soxfan3530 @ Feb 9, 2009 -> 03:24 PM) i would love to see other people take wise's spot, but i would be shocked if he didnt make the team. ozzie has a love fest going on with him. Why would you say he has a love fest? He played the guy when nobody else was around. If given the choice, I guarantee you he doesnt want a player of that caliber on his club no matter what his PC quotes are in the paper.
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 9, 2009 -> 11:23 AM) And yet, in the end, at this portion of their careers, Havlat when healthy is a more offensively talented player. That's just the truth. Fixed for accuracy. Havlat isnt quite the complete player like Toews is. And Kaner is prob just a tick behind Havlat offensively, but its very close. There is a reason Kaner leads the team in points.
  22. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 9, 2009 -> 11:27 AM) When I was on earlier, they said I had less than 1 minute, then it went to 2,3,4... up until 9. I finally got some but if I have a place in line I wonder why the time goes higher. I really think brokers have some sort of access to jump the line. They do, im sure of it. I believe brokerage companies especially those associated with TM have a different screen that allows them preference.
  23. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 9, 2009 -> 10:23 AM) I hope you have 2 accounts. There is a 4 ticket total limit for that series. I got 4 for each game. They would have been gone in previous years because they gave first access to brokers and full seasons
