How long are we going to continue to blame this teams struggles on the manager and not the players responsible. I hope everyone enjoys watching Buehrle and others get traded at the deadline this year, because the offense decided to mail it in for 2 months.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 29, 2007 -> 11:45 AM) With Pablo going down, and Podsednik down, I think it may well be time to give Jerry a month to see if he can hit some MLB pitching. Owens line so far: .287 .372 25k's 25BB 21SB 7CS 33R 2E Josh Fields .283 .398 .898 OPS 51 SO 36BB 7E -
QUOTE(BearSox @ May 28, 2007 -> 08:34 PM) Bo Jackson was one hell of an athlete. He was a better running back then ball player, but when he did hit the ball, he hit it hard. In Techmo Bowl, he was unreal... I prefer Walter Payton right, Walter Payton left.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 28, 2007 -> 09:27 PM) As long as Odom is still a Laker, I don't see this being the case. He's also one of the only things of value we have. If we know Gordon isnt worth much, dont you think the lakers feel the same way? Deng is by far the player that teams want more than anyone else on our team, and the bargaining for a STAR like Kobe starts at your most talented player.
-
You guys really think the lakers would take any deal that didnt include Deng? Come on now. He would be probably the first thing they asked for.

QUOTE(Top Notch @ May 27, 2007 -> 06:54 PM) People don't like Noah because he's a tough, gritty, talkative young kid whose had success two years running now. Personality aside, he'd be an excellent addition to the Bulls. He rebounds, he plays hard, and he does all the little things. When the Bulls started to slip in game three, nobody stepped up and hit a big shot, nobody stepped up and took the team on their back, nobody gave the team a lashing that was much needed. I'm not saying the Bulls beat Detroit with Noah on the team, but I will say that they probably don't lose game three at home which was when the series ended, if Noah is on that team. I like him in a Bulls uni. AHAHHHAHAHA. Did you really just infer that Noah would have stepped up and hit a big shot? The kid can barely shoot from outside 2 feet from the hoop. -

QUOTE(fathom @ May 27, 2007 -> 02:41 PM) No time for replacements from our minor leagues....we need a starting LF. We've waited long enough to see if Pods would heal soon....but we know how fast Barbaro heals. Owens is playing well. -
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 26, 2007 -> 10:48 PM) They really handeled tonight piss poor. They could have easily started this thing at 8:30 or 9, and they add on by scheduling the makeup game for a Monday afternoon in late August, a date and time in which nobody is going to show up, AND it means we have a stretch during that time of 19 games in 19 days now. A lot of people got screwed tonight, that's for sure, and it's a darn shame. Probably Ozzie's fault.

Sitting next to Pat Morita (sp?) at Old Comiskey right after the Karate Kid was released. Seeing the whole stadium stop and clap for him was awesome. This was followed directly by my first roof shot.

QUOTE(BearSox @ May 26, 2007 -> 12:17 PM) As soon as that pitch was thrown to Terrero I said goodbuy... Hanging breaking balls, right down the middle. mmmm, that is one nice cookie to smack the s*** out of. I literally stood in my seat and yelled s*** thats gone. Everyone around me were a little delayed, that thing has 400+ written all over it.

thats a pretty bad photochop actually.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 24, 2007 -> 05:32 PM) BatGirl has retired. http://www.bat-girl.com/archives/001883.php Ah, I loved her stuff, she was truly brilliant.
-
Dude. When Terrero hit that ball, I just scream s*** and watched that f***er sail into the night. Also, when Ozzie came out to talk to Mark I pleaded out loud to keep him in the game, then he gave up the bomb. I still think it was the right move. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 26, 2007 -> 12:35 AM) Good to see Ozzie hasn't changed. We played our cute little macho game tonight and it nearly cost us a win, and it DID cost Buehrle win #100 of his career. However other than that blaring bit of ignorance, nice win tonight. Let's get a series win tomorrow and hope we can finally finish off a sweep. Leave it to you to try and find something negative in a good team win.

QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ May 25, 2007 -> 01:19 PM) My friend gave me the best advice in regards to this when I first started lifting. He said, "Lift the weight, not your ego" Some of the best advice. I have been doing alot of free weights lately to tone up and work on my stablizing muscles, so obviously my dumbbell bench wont be as heavy as my barbell. But I see these guys doing curls, incline etc and just having the worst form ive ever seen. I always thought that 8-10 perfect reps work you more than 15 of the poorest reps you can do. Its better to feel the improvements and the resistance yourself than try and be the guy who picks up the biggest weight.

QUOTE(Y2HH @ May 25, 2007 -> 01:14 PM) In modern America, 21 is quite a young age to get married, especially considering how this country no longer takes marriage seriously, something I find very sad. Meh. 30 is the new 21 from my experience.

They just couldnt move the Count up a start. The rotation is no longer a 1-5 situation as the season has already started. Plus its now RLRLR

White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 5/25/07 (W)

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 25, 2007 -> 12:22 PM) Well the next few games will prove if they are out of their slump, or was 3 games just an abberation. We face shields who has a plus changeup, throws it alot and likes to paint the outside corner with his fastball to setup his changeup. Think Radke versus the sox. We face a crappy pitcher we should bomb into the atmosphere tomorrow. Then Kazmir, a top lefty. Then Johan, which we might as well forfeit the game. Then Boof. But Toby Hall, the savior against LHP is back.
