QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Nov 25, 2006 -> 12:25 AM) For that price you should be able to get a Fender acoustic with a case, but make sure you get a solid top. It is worth the extra $100. I have had over 10 acoustics in my life, and none were cmore dissapointing than the Fenders. I like their electrics, but find their acoustics to be pure crap.

Charlie is a good coach and all. But I have a problem with big time footbal coaches, especially at top tier universities, who come out for a big game wearing warmup pants and a hooded sweatshirt. -

ND's defense was too slow for Michigan, obviously they wont be able to stay with USC. Those deep passes should be open all day against that secondary. -
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Nov 25, 2006 -> 03:26 PM) Every time one of these signings comes through, I keep having the same reaction; I'm glad we're not the one taking that gamble. At the same time, it sickens me that we are going to have to make a big trade to really improve this team.

QUOTE(knightni @ Nov 24, 2006 -> 12:54 PM) Can it be done with a different oil? yes, but Peanut is used because of its high flash point and the fact that it is healthier than most other oils. I believe you can use Cannola though. My birds turned out awesome, the deep fried one took 27 min and was unreal.

Konerko > Carlos Lee and now he is a bargain.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 11:51 PM) well so does A-Rod so I guess he's got good company. Good comparison. A so-so college QB vs probably one of the top 3 MLB players ever. -
QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Nov 23, 2006 -> 12:16 PM) Huh, I've never had a problem with it, to me it tastses much better than the stuff in the pan. totally, it ALWAYS gets cooked in the bird and its awesome.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Nov 22, 2006 -> 11:46 AM) Hahahaha 5/60 for Paul f***ing Konerko and 5/55 for a breakout year GMJ. Yay ridiculousness. Konerko is a bargain in todays marketplace which speaks loads for KW. Hell, Kong is less than half the price of Soriano.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 10:58 PM) Tate's getting s*** because he doesn't have a defense. Give him a defense like he had in '04, or even '05, and you're not talking about any of this. He's not Peyton Manning. He can't win by himself. Ask yourself this question... What's Michigan's record with Tate at QB? what about Wisconsin? I don't think either record would be any different. Michigan, Wisco, OSU would all be so much worse. Tate folds under any pressure, and does not play well in big games, or against pressure defenses. -
QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 07:11 PM) Zito and MB have very little chance at realistically getting 300 wins. 20 wins per season for 10 more years? They have already played some of their peak years and were not getting 20 wins. Boras does not take the word "decline" into his vocab when speaking about a client though. When you sell a product, you generally do not concede that it will wear down at some point.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 05:10 PM) well they don't play Michigan or OSU the next two years, so they'll perform much better by default. I just found Drew tate to be one of the most overrated unclutch players in the big ten. -
QUOTE(SadChiSoxFanOptimist @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 05:10 PM) Did we miss something? Have you been appointed to the lead judge of postings quality control? Apparently you didnt get the memo. Trading a quality, underpriced pitcher for either one of those prospects straight up is retarded, end game.

As soon as Drew Tate leaves, I expect Iowa to perform much better, especially in tough and important games. -
QUOTE(VAfan @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 03:44 PM) I'd take Chris Young alone in trade for him if Arizona would do it. Of course they won't. If the Mets would take him for Milledge, I'd do it. Once again, trying to make valid points, and going off the deep end.

QUOTE(Brian @ Nov 5, 2006 -> 08:11 PM) NBC.com has archived their shows this year on their website. I missed two Friday Night Lights and got caught up that way. They have all the episodes of Heroes on there as well. can you link this for me, I can only find 10 min pieces.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 11:21 AM) Is that the one thats like 90 bucks? Cause I'm hoping I could do it another way because that adapter is just wireless A which is pretty old school (unless I'm an idiot cause I thought N is going to be the latest version...when it comes up and G is the standard version, B was the one before that). If not I'll just have to suck it up and pay the 90 bucks cause I can't wait to watch streaming high def on my DLP. I bought the g version from ebay for less than 50 dollars I believe, so I think you are looking at the wrong one. http://cgi.ebay.com/Like-New-Microsoft-Xbo...1QQcmdZViewItem 30 bucks. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 03:37 PM) But would I be able to hard plug into that 2nd router (which is my main goal)? To answer this question, it should be yes. You would use that second adapter as a bridge that will pick up the wireless signal and redistribute via hard wire and wireless. Of course that is a more expensive and hard to configure solution than just buy the adapter.

QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 11:54 AM) I like my arteries soft and malleable thanks Funny thing about deep fried turkey. 1. Its made with Peanut oil which is ocnsidered a "healthier" oil and is low or has no trans fats 2. The skin seals out the oil once placed in the fryer which keep the oil out and the juices in. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 11:35 AM) UNC has a lot more tradition that you realize, but then again ignorance is bliss. so does Miami University in Ohio. But i dont consider them current day juggernats Of course we do nothing more than produce big time coaches: The Cradle of Coaches is a nickname given to Miami University in Oxford, Ohio for producing star football coaches and including Earl Blaik, Paul Brown, Woody Hayes, Bill Arnsparger, George Little, Weeb Ewbank, Sid Gillman, Ara Parseghian, Bo Schembechler, John Pont, Carmen Cozza, Bill Mallory, Jim Tressel, Joe Novak, Ron Zook, Dick Crum, Randy Walker, Terry Hoeppner, and Sean Payton. -

QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 11:31 AM) There was no way of knowing UNC would totally collapse this year. They were coming off of a 5-6 season against one of the toughest schedules in the nation, returned most of their starters, and had hired a new hot-shot OC from Fresno State. Oh well, atleast Notre Dame's trip to UNC in 08 will be a lot better. Well, the fact that they are UNC should have cleared up that doubt for you a little bit. -

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Nov 20, 2006 -> 11:31 PM) I just prefer to live in a world where you earn it. I do not think any of those other teams have "earned it" more so than Michigan. Hell, I'll go as far as to say that if Michigan and OSU play again and Michigan wins, there should be a split National Championship. That ought to start some debate......... I was going to yell and scream until your last sentence. When you talk about "earning" a national title, one thing that can not come into play is having to beat the same team twice to be crowned. Where is the hell does it make sense that OSU has to beat Michigan twice in order to be considered the national champion? Michigan got their shot, decided to give up 500 yards (and the game was never in doubt, even when UM scored against the prevent defense) and lose the game. Their quest towards the title should be done right now. A late season loss should be weighted alot more than a first or second game loss IMO. USC, Ark, Fla and even ND would be better suitors for the title game, Michigan is done IMO. -
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 11:22 AM) I have two thanksgivings every year and the one I do with all my friends we do a deep fried bird in addition to a regular one and I think I'm the only one that prefers the regular bird. That siad the deep fried turkey tends to be real juicy, but I like the flavor from the regular bird (cooked in the oven). thats why i usually do two birds. Fact is, I love stuffing, and the only way to get stuffing that I like is by roasting the bird. I find that the deep fried bird is a good way to introduce another great taste into the meal. This year I plan on dropping some hush puppies into the oil as well. QUOTE(SnB @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 11:21 AM) I've been trying to get my family to do it for years, no dice. I started doing it right when I got out of college, I bought a kit online for cheap off of ebay, and took it upon myself to start the tradition. My parents were terribly unhappy the first time I did it, but ever since then they have been looking forward to it.

QUOTE(redandwhite @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 11:12 AM) Considering the money being tossed around this offseason, I don't think it's bad deal at all. Probably right. I would rather have Nomar for that cost than the contract Pierre received.
