QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 09:28 AM) http://www.cnn.com/2011/11/06/justice/penn....html?hpt=hp_t1 Translation: "He told me my old-buddy Sandusky was taking inappropriate liberties with a child, but because he didn't specifically describe the particular act (which I almost certainly didn't ask about), I did the bare minimum by reporting it, but just not to the police. It wasn't really my problem anymore because Sandusky wasn't working for me in 2002.'" It was pretty clear in the Grand Jury's report that the GA (now an assistant coach) met with Paterno at his house to tell him he saw Sandusky blowing a kid. There is no way for Joe to escape this.

I honestly dont understand the outrage of people who are paying for the service a bank provides. Did you think storing your money and making it readily available should be free to you? Did you think the ease of keeping your books online should be something that is just given away to everyone? There is a free way to store your money, its called putting it under your mattress.

QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Nov 6, 2011 -> 01:09 PM) I think oversigning is a bit overstated. First off, the SEC has changed their rules which severely limit the practice, possibly even less so than the Big Ten Policy. Second, let's not forget that the Big Ten can oversign by three to 28. I agree with you on premise, but they are still limited to 25 scholarships per class, just like the Big Ten. I think the instances of them forcing players out is more the exception and not the rule. I looked at 8 SEC teams and their classes from the past 4 years. (I didn't look at Kentucky, Ole Miss, Mississippi State or Vandy because they don't count) Only 8 of the 32 classes from those 8 teams had classes over the 28 that the Big Ten allows. The biggest two offenders were Arkansas, South Carolina and Auburn with two instances each. I know Auburn not only went through a coaching change, but they also lost a lot of players due to discipline and other various reasons. Alabama has not surpassed 28 since 2008. LSU only in 2010 with 29. Georgia, Florida and Tennessee have not gone over 27 at all in the past four years. 8 SEC teams average 1 more player per year than the highest Big Ten team. Since 2002 the SEC has signed almost 600 more players than the Big Ten and has been over 25 players 54 times to the 18 of the Big Ten. They have signed over 28 players 33 times. Right now there are 6 SEC teams who have signed more players than there are available scholarships per the NCAA rule. Bama, LSU, Ole Miss and Arkansas all signed more than 10 players over their budget to be at 85. -
QUOTE (zenryan @ Nov 6, 2011 -> 01:06 PM) The coach wasnt associated with the university anymore. Would the same process need to be followed then? Yes he was, he was a professor emeritus and had access to all of the facilities at PSU. Regardless anyone who saw something should have called the cops immediately. If I walk into a conference room at work and see an old man RAPING an 11 year old boy, I dont even think about calling my boss, I call the cops and then beat the s*** out that guy.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Nov 5, 2011 -> 11:04 PM) You could definitely make an argument Paterno should have called the police or something when he realized the AD wasn't going to, but the AD is absolutely the first person he should have notified. No question. Actually I believe thats what Tressel did. As for the PSU thing, I dont see what an AD has to do with a grown man f***ing an 11 year old boy in the shower at the university. The Grad assistant should have called the cops, the janitor that saw him blowing a kid should have called the cops, and JoPa and Curley etc. Everyone needs to ignore the chain of command and do whats right IMO. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 5, 2011 -> 08:46 PM) I definitely feel like the Big Ten has been outrecruited for the last decade. Based on what? Recruiting rankings, players in the NFL? The SEC has out recruited everyone for the last decade, but outside of that, no way. The blue bloods of the Big Ten have had top classes and put as many players in the NFL as anyone. -

QUOTE (farmteam @ Nov 5, 2011 -> 01:47 PM) Wow, Alexander Webb practically cut Braxton Miller in half on that hit. What a s*** game, until I saw how Nebraska was playing. I like that QB for IU, good arm and nice touch. -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Nov 5, 2011 -> 06:02 PM) The Big 10 really needs to start recruiting better in football. The conference is just awful right now. DO you really think recruiting is the issue? The conference is down this year, but its also very young. -

Pedophile State University http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf...oach_jerry.html There are rumblings that PSU coaches knew and tried to cover it up when an incident happened in the PSU locker room. -

QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 4, 2011 -> 12:27 PM) I'm really temped to order it...I'm just curious when they will release the iPhone5 and whether it's worth it to hold out or not. I'm tired of not being able to use my phone in the car. A year from now maybe is what I heard. I had to switch carriers and the 4s was cheap. Thats the reason I switched.

Quitting my job moving to a smaller start up company. The worst part is going to be the actual quitting. My current boss is known to motherf*** people over the phone.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 4, 2011 -> 12:22 PM) I wasn't aware it worked like that...pretty crazy that people are already hooked on it in just a few weeks. My new 4s with verizon service should be here monday. Pretty pumped to see what the Verizon network can do for me.

QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Nov 4, 2011 -> 11:06 AM) Peegs.com, the Rivals site. Just don't look at the free board haha, it's a cess pool. The premium side is pretty nice, less retards, and it's got a huge following. $10 a month memberships has allowed Peegs to hire away the main Indy Star sports reporter, so I'd have to figure he's banking some serious money, all for having IU and high school connections haha. Pretty sweet gig, but I'm sure you can relate with OSU forums who charge with their football following. Mike (owner of Peegs, Mike Pegram) said today it's MSU and PU as the top two for Gary more than likely, with IU maybe as the darkhorse. UK is out. Gotcha. I actually dont pay for any sites since I felt Bucknuts was a complete rip off. The Scout forum is nice but I would rather browse. I actually like the blogs the best since I can just get info. I think MSU is where he is going, which will be tough for everyone. -

QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Nov 4, 2011 -> 09:32 AM) Yea, the scout board is pretty bad. There's no mod or anyone running the show, so whatever they make up seems to stick. That makes sense. What board is the main one? -
QUOTE (The Critic @ Nov 4, 2011 -> 09:07 AM) Yeah, I don't miss that guy at all. Skating fast does not mean you'll be a quality NHL player. I still think he's slow 90 percent of the time. I still dont get what Tallon sees in him.

QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 4, 2011 -> 08:32 AM) Wish Darius Morris would of stuck around as well. If Darius would have stayed they could have been champions. See what I did there? Seriously, him leaving really hurt, if Hardaway leaves that will hurt as well. Its nice to see the Big Ten picking it up as a whole. -

QUOTE (farmteam @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 06:50 PM) Rock, you ready to watch a laughably bad IU team in the "Battle of the True Freshmen QBs?" Our offense is actually playing pretty well lately (Tre Roberson and Stephen Houston are forming a solid backfield), but our defense is seriously the worst FBS defense I've ever seen. I'll say our offense surprises a few people and actually does decently against your vaunted defense, but we still can't stop anything. tOSU 55 IU 27 The two youngest teams in the conference shall meet and make many mistakes. Seriously I am excited just because I think Braxton needs a porous defense to work against so he can improve his passing. Also Carlos Hyde is back at the #2 spot since Hall is hurt, Rod Smith moved to LB and Berry is suspended. This is a classic trap game though so I feel like it will be close for most of the game with OSU handing off repeatedly.
