QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 12:45 PM) Oh my f***ing God, no you don't, apprently. I like Lovie, he's a good coach. The Bears ignore offensive line and wide receivers. Please, for the love of God figure it out. It's so obvious and exactly what I've typed 15 times now. Yes, I understand the offense sucks. Competitive: Eagles and Packers Not-Competitive: Bears If I get you, you arent basing that on actual wins, losses, titles. But just on offensive ineptitude. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 12:44 PM) You continue to prove lack of reading comprehension. No, I dont lack that and you know that. You are now just acting like a dick for no reason. I just want to understand how the Bears havent consistently been competing for a Super Bowl over the last several years (Lovie's tenure). I am a Bears fan and I hate the offense as much as anyone, its been the story of our lives. My point, which you neglect to actually read and understand, is that how can you say a team like the Eagles and Packers are more competitive when they have the same or similar results as the Bears. If you line up records, divison titles etc they are all fairly even. So how can 2 of the 3 be more competitive than the other one? -

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 12:34 PM) Steve hasn't been talking about the Lovie Smith era, though. So only before then we didnt compete? I dont get it. -
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 12:36 PM) What do you need to know? I am trying to install cameras in my condo building and I was going to use wireless cameras hooked up to a dvr. I was wondering if there were any recommendations.

Anyone have any experience installing security cameras?

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 11:51 AM) The only thing I could think of is that it depends on internet connectivity for almost everything that people must be wary of only having Wifi on it. Maybe. I am going to wait and read amazon reviews and then maybe cnet. You never know how it will end up until people start really using it.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 11:59 AM) You're not supporting your point at all. I've said 15 times in this f***ing conversation that the Bears defense has been great. I don't really understand why it's so hard for you to comprehend my statement that the complete ignorance of improving the offense (especially in an era defined by offense), is reprehensible and pisses me the f*** off. I'm not trying to start a Bears vs. Packers discussion, nor did single them out. I brought the Packers (along with others) up as an example of a BALANCED team that consistently competes. Hell, I greatly prefer how the Eagles have run their franchise the last 12 years than the Bears, simply because they can beat you two ways. Sure, it might not work out, but continually watching the Bears' defense play great while the offense is a clusterf*** is beyond f***ing annoying, and that's been my entire point with every post. Read. Please. Relax Steve, I can read and I think you know that. I'm just wondering why if you say the Packers consistently compete yet you refuse to say the Bears do. Since Lovie started the teams have been about dead even. That would mean the Bears also consistently compete. I would think its black and white. If you are saying ignore all of the wins and losses, titles etc and only compare their offense then yes, the Packers have probably been better. But you cannot ignore that football is a team game, and since Lovie has been the coach the Bears have been just as competitive as the Pack have been regardless of how "balanced" you seem to think the Packers are. -

QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 11:37 AM) Hear you all on that. It's the first time in a long time I've actually been excited about Indiana basketball. I'm really looking forward to the Big Ten Acc challenge this year. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 11:01 AM) No, because they certainly haven't, that's my entire point. Well, you said the Packers were continually competing for the Super Bowl. During his tenure they have one more win than the Packers and one more divisional title. If they actually won that Super Bowl they would pretty much be dead even as far as accomplishments go since he started coaching the Bears. I would think that would make them also a "consistent super bowl threat" -
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 11:00 AM) Why so? I dont know, I heard it on talk radio this morning. I am going to look into it because its such a good value.

Would it then be fair to say the Bears have been a super bowl threat for Lovie's entire tenure? -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 10:48 AM) Potential best news of the day cst_Cowley cst_Cowley And big news from Mr. Handsome ... I will not be writing another Ozzie column for at least three more weeks, that's a guarantee. He's the only one in todays paper that wrote a column on Ozzie and it was just rehashing his other pieces. I understand he is sad that he's back to being an outcast on the Sox beat, but jeez dude.

QUOTE (Papa Tru @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 01:30 AM) As I just posted in another thread, I don't buy the whole Ozzie quit because he wanted more money claim.. I think that it was already discussed that they wouldn't be extending him past what they already had done, and even furthermore I think it went a little more into the you're probably going to be fired territory.. If the reports are true, which I tend to believe based on how quickly the compensation came up, they had already been in talks with the Marlins about this before Mondays events even happened.. I honestly believe that instead of being fired Ozzie preferred to make it look like he got out of here on his terms.. Instead of just being fired, or let go, he chose to ask to be released and then went on his little rant that he doesn't care about anything but money.. I don't remember ever getting that kind of vibe from Ozzie before, and like its already obvious to see he wasn't going to be returning anyway if you piece together everything we know about the situation.. This way, instead of being fired it makes it look like he was the one who wanted out and not the White Sox who were ready to move on from the Ozzie era.. Also, the fact that it just kind of happened out of nowhere with two games left in the season, I tend to believe that he was informed he wasn't going to be back next year and instead tried to spin it that he no longer wanted to be here anymore.. I think that he DID want to return here, but obviously the feelings weren't mutual.. Ozzie is definitely the kind of person who would take it personally especially with his relationship with KW and knowing that he was being brought back and Ozzie was the one getting let go.. So in your eyes every member of the Sox including the players came out with quotes to aid Ozzie in his big cover-up? S on one hand he left for more money which was supported by his comments, kws, jrs, and the players. On the other, everyone lied to cover up the true situation. Ozzie really didn't mean it when he said he lost the desire to coach the Sox, it's was all part of his plan.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 11:50 PM) No. You play a lot of minutes, you play against top lines throughout the game, those matchups happen, regardless of "role" I liked him in that role last night because Hossa and Brunette already back check well enough to cover up for his lack of physicality.

QUOTE (onedude @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 07:33 PM) Further evidence, I believe, looking at Nick Swisher can tell you right away. Good offensive player was brought in by KW(his job). Swisher proceeded to have a bad year...on/off the field. Kenny then trades Swisher(being a liability offensively after the bad year), who then goes back to career norms. I would say coaching has more to do with how a player succeeds or fails far more than the GM. Ozzie and Nick Swisher did not get along.

QUOTE (Tex @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 07:25 PM) Yeah, bringing in guys like Thome and Dunn, based on hall of fame numbers, proves that. Ig-nore.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 03:42 PM) It actually does benefit us in draft position to lose, but it still would have been nice to give Reed a shot at closing it out and seeing how he did Agreed. He will be an integral part of our pen next season.
