QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 16, 2011 -> 03:25 PM) I did pork chops on the grill last weekend, and now I wonder why I hadn't done that before. Any good chop recipes out there? I'm partial to BBQ porkchops myself, I dry rub it before cooking and then near its done point I do indirect heat with a combination of Sweet Baby Ray's spicy sauce with open pit. I also saw an asin variation that Bobby Flay did that was pretty interesting, Ill see if I can find it. I know he marinated it in Soy, Orange Pop and something else.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 16, 2011 -> 02:04 PM) Im not sure it was the adjustments as much as the Heat just playing into the Bulls hands. The Heat small line up was what turned the series in Boston, the problem last night was that the Heat small line up was devastated by the Bulls. James Jones at the 4 with Taj out there was a complete mismatch. As soon as Thibs realized that Boozer/Noah couldnt be out there together, the Bulls took over. The Heat were just not ready for the interchangeable defense that Taj/Deng/Brewer and somewhat Bogans were able to play. Those 3 players were able to switch on Wade/Lebron/ etc and made the Heat heavily rely on iso. Even worse for the Heat it often pulled Lebron away from the hoop so that the Bulls front 2 of Noah/Taj were going up against Jones/Bosh etc. That is just a really unfavorable match up for the Heat on the boards. To make matters worse on Defense the small line up further fails the Heat because you have Bosh on Noah, which means Lebron/Jones are responsible for Taj/Deng. Its still a long way to go, but the Heat really had no answers last night. I think they will try and go big game 2 (Z, Haslem), but that will be basically admitting that the Bulls are dictating how the series is going to be played (2 big men on the floor at all times) and I think that really plays into the Bulls hands. Obviously last night the Bulls looked really good and Miami just so-so, but if there is anything to take away from this game, its that the Bulls can beat Miami. Before they stepped on the court yesterday, there was part of me that was not convinced that if both Miami and the Bulls play their best, that the Bulls would win. But after last night, I actually believe that in order for Miami to win, will have to play their best, because the Bulls best and the Miami best is going to be pretty damn close. You make some great points. That "small" lineup was incredibly successful in the first two rounds because the Heat's opponents didnt have big guys that could;d guard them which made for matchup issues and made the other team sub in smaller players. The Bulls kept at least Noah or Asik in plus Taj against that lineup and outrebounded the s*** out of them. I was very surprised that Z wasnt suited up for the Heat since he would be able to take Noah away from the basket to defend the spot up 3.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 12, 2011 -> 10:57 PM) That was one hell of a hockey game. However, someone tell Penis Pierre that SJ did not win the Cup with that win. They did not "slay the dragon" or "quiet the doubters." Until they actually win something, this SJ group is still known as the big chokers. This win just prevented them from becoming the biggest chokers of all time. I hope they can get by Van. Should be another great series. They'll get smoked by the nucks and you have to blow up that team at this point.

Bulls win, Felix and real absent. Surprise.

Go online to something like mint.com and see what is out there. People who keep balances or spend alot usually try to keep the APR low. If you are paying off the balance monthly you may want to look at something that gives you points, or an Amex. Either way, dont apply for a bunch, shop around and THEN apply.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 10, 2011 -> 02:43 PM) Would that be an extension of the data plan from a person's phone/tablet, or would one have another additional internet fee to pay do you think? The internet in may car I believe is part of my sirius subscription.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 9, 2011 -> 08:56 PM) lol And I just read an article on him but I thought that was part of your signature. I actually thought the joke was about how many basketball players have brought guns to arenas, which was a surprisingly interesting point when I thought about it. Perfect storm for idiotic hilarity on my part. I thought he was talking about the strain of pot. I could easily get an automatic weapon into US Cellular field after the game has started. Use the smoking patio as your access point. Pretty easy.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 10, 2011 -> 02:37 PM) You would think that especially with the development of the Amazon Cloud Music and Google Music that car manufacturers will be all over making sure that it's a feature in new cars. If Pandora could be an embedded ap within a car stereo system, I honestly wouldnt listen to my ipod or much radio at all. I think thats the next phase of car entertainment since we already have internet in our cars. They are going to have an android-like operating system and you will be able to download apps.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 10, 2011 -> 02:02 PM) Even for music from your phone (for bluetooth)? Yes, but currently the quality blows. Its almost tape-like. My jeep came with two usb connectors but for some reason the only music player it can work with is an ipod. Of course the better option is to take a usb thumb drive and load music onto the hard drive.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 10, 2011 -> 01:31 PM) I don't disagree with you but how can they do it when the key player here, Apple, has a proprietary connector? There has to be someone who can do it. The apple connector somehow translates into a usb connection so there has to be some standardization in there somewhere. I envision a connector on amazon for $1 that could snap onto an existing iphone or ipod connector and the output would be the new standard docking connector on android devices. If someone could figure it out it would be big bucks. Over 70 percent of new cars have this connector built in already, imagine that marketplace.
-
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 10, 2011 -> 01:15 PM) You can thank Apple for making sure that won't ever happen since they decided to use proprietary connectors for their devices. Most Android devices use standard connectors like micro or mini USB. But if they are developing a standard, I just wish they would try and tap into something that could work with ipod connectors. Or some company dedicated to those could make something that could be added on. It would make everything so much easier. Consequently it would also move me off the iphone.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 10, 2011 -> 01:23 PM) I have no idea where you got this statement. iPod sales peaked in around 2008. They've been declining as iPhone sales (including mine now!) surged. Year over year they were up, not quarterly. I got it from their annual report.

Coors beats all and thats pretty much all i drink at Sox games.
-
And let me an my opinion if I was the designer of this "standard" Make it play nice with already established ipod connectors. Make people able to buy a 1 dollar adapter online that can hook into ipod connectors and power and play android devices. Make it so that companies like iHome can offer one product to the masses but with two connector options than can be included in the box. That would be a good business move IMO. Maybe then I could move to an EVO.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 10, 2011 -> 12:35 PM) So Android doesn't use bluetooth? Where have you been? Pretty dumb for car manufacturers and others to ignore this: 100 million activated Android devices 400,000 new Android devices activated every day 200,000 free and paid applications available in Android Market Actually I said the bluetooth integration will be there before any standard connector in cars, meaning its easier for manufacturers to use that instead of trying a new hardware standard. And those android devices are phone primarily like I said, and are still outnumbered by iphones and ipods by quite a bit. If you are a car manufacturer you address the market and see that a single connector type that is much more prevalent than the other and you make a decision to go with it. Do you realize how many people own something with an ipod connection on it? Apple sold 189 million IOS devices up to the end of march this year. \

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 10, 2011 -> 12:30 PM) I EDIT: And standalone music players are already becoming irrelevant with modern smart phones taking over. Sure everyone had an iPod for the last 6 years but people are shifting to all in one devices. False. Ipod sales are up year over year. They sold 9 million in Q2 FY 11
-
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 10, 2011 -> 12:30 PM) I don't think this will be true indefinitely. The # of android devices activated per day, the number of apps available, and the selection of devices are indicators that Android will completely overtake the market in no time. There are already car manufacturers using Android. When Android starts getting well over 50% of market share it would be idiotic not to have the support in vehicles when their new accessory standardization takes affect. 50% market share of what? How many android music players are out there? People use the ipod input for music. Bluetooth integration will beat any standard connector on android phones for using the phone and also adequately streaming music. For CD quality sound, ipods are still the rule of thumb in cars, at home and on the move.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 10, 2011 -> 12:03 PM) Like what? I use Utorrent. I've been downloading songs/movies for over 10 years now, and torrents as recently as like 2 or 3 years. No idea why I all the sudden got pegged. I've even downloaded from the same user for all my movies. But then I download 2 movies, the first two I've downloaded since Winter Break, and all the sudden I get hit, for both of them. Why do people put those trackers in the torrent? Isn't that what did me in? So should I just give up on downloading movies, or is there a safer way? Should I still download songs, since I don't use torrents for songs? I just use a program much like Limewire for songs. Hmm, thats strange. I wonder what it was with those two movies. I use Vuze and havent gotten hit yet.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 10, 2011 -> 11:57 AM) This addresses the "but all the accessories out there are for Apple products" crowd. Google announces Android Open Accessory standard, Arduino-based ADK But it doesnt. And the reason it wont is because ipods+iphones trump all android devices. Cars will always have an ipod/iphone input first because thats the predominant music player. I bet more than half of android phone users own an ipod.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 10, 2011 -> 12:21 PM) It's the New York Post. Come on, they are one step short of reporting on Elvis being alive. I believe they also stated Elvis had some interest in the Knicks job.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 10, 2011 -> 11:44 AM) I'm a tad annoyed it's only for the bleachers. I got excited since I'm going tonight to see the Cards, but I'm not sitting bleachers. I didnt notice that part. I hate those bleachers, its bad enough you have to sit by Cubs fans, but fighting over a 5 inch space to sit is even worse.
