Here is another one I thought of with the Rangers for Crochet. Rangers seem like a nice spot since Daniels is generally pretty agressive. Rangers Get: Garrett Crochet White Sox Get: Evan Carter Kumar Rocker Jack Lieter Most of the value comes from Evan Carter in this situation. Another former high prospect who is out with a back injury for them. Rocker and Lieter were big names coming out of college but really havent produced much. I kind of attribute part of Vandy making all of their starters throw 130 pitches in one start. Lieter has not been good at all since being drafted. He struggeld with walks at Vandy as well but struck out so many guys it didnt ever matter. However, That s%*# doesnt fly wheh you are a pro. The Sox this year are having success with arms so maybe you can turn him into a mid-rotation guy. Rocker- I am actually pretty high on. He's had arm injuries post college but he could be straight dominent once he gets over them. Still its a pretty large question mark.

I hear this. The optimist in me just believe they understand the value of cost controlled players. At some point you have to push your chips in the middle of the table.

I kind of based this trade off of the return for Sale Jackson Holliday= Moncada ( Both are 1 or 2 overall) Coby Mayo= Michael Kopech ( Both are somehwere between 15-25) Chase McDermott= Basabe ( Both are probably between 110-125) Seth Johnson= Diaz ( Both are just hopeful bullpen options) Both McDermott and Johnson are going to be rule 5 eligeable soon so Baltimore will hit a 40 man crunch. I get that GMS value prospects more than ever. Fedde is a nice mid-rotation piece for them for the next 1.5 years. You can view Kopech as a possability of getting it right with a different organization. To me, A deal like this is the only deal I would accept. Robert doesn't have to be traded. He could have the same value now that he will this winter. So a team should have to overpay or else just keep him.

Robert, Fedde and Kopech for Jackson Holliday, Coby Mayo, Chase McDermott and Seth Johnson. Who says No- Baltimore or White Sox.

Thank you for writing this. Such a good read.

I see very little evidence that Katz should be the pitching coach next year.
-
It’s time to shut down Kopech. Something is clearly wrong here.

Do people actually know this for a fact? Like people see him out at night because thats crazy. Like how do you not just bench him the next day or two. Its so disrespectful. I actually don't blame him for saying this. Back injuries are no joke so I know people will point to the contract year but a bad back can ruin your life. And agreed. All of these dudes should have outlined programs to help them with deficiencies. Eloy should have 100% a program that tells him what drills he needs to do everyday to hit the ball up in the air.

Agreed. People must know something we don't. Which makes it hard to root for the asshole.

Wow- Pretty good debut for Nastrini. Allowed a leadoff Double in the 5th. Struck out the next 2. Short Flyball to right ended the inning. Catcher should not be setting up so early. Guy on 2nd was giving location up to the hitter.

Have you watched the Sox bullpen. Lopez would be a welcome addition even for a month. -

Can I say I love Oscar Colas. I know he has not played great this season but he gets so happy when he gets a hit. I think he genuinely wants to be a good player. -
I agree it was the low strikeout numbers. Never really deleloped an out pitch. Additionally, He was hitting like 96 when they drafted him and by the end of his time with the White Sox he was 91-92. Velocity really backed up on him.

I think Rick Hahn deserved to get fired. However, I feel bad for him. He seemed to be underminded by his bosses all of the time. Didnt want to Hire Larussa Wanted to Pay Bryce Harper to come here Had the trade to the Marlins axed of sending TA to Marlins. Kenny stepped in and swapped out with Burger at the last minute.

Anticipate having somebody in place by the end of the season.... Sounds like Jerry has somebody in mind because that is awfully quick.

Wow! So those interviews didnt go exactly well...

I am sure Bud Selig after he told him was like " Bro, you just swindled millions of tax player dollars and you are hurt about a player being pissed that you traded him after one year of the deal, Get The f*** Out of Here" -

The walks just kill me. Between not taking any and giving out so many. Doesn't take much analytics to figure out that if you are in the top half of issuing and bottom half taking you will be unsuccessful as a team. If the White Sox do hold SoxFest this year. This is the number #1 question I want answered. What are you going to do as an organization to address the fact your walk differential alone makes you unable to make the postseason. At this point, its an organizational problem.
