  1. Seems like he has an achy knee or ankle with this much time off in a short stretch.
  2. No team would handle him differently, except maybe have these innings in the minors, due to his limited usage in college.
  3. A personal opinion that his methods lead to too much stress on the arm and increased the potential for injuries, especially for breaking pitches. The "snap" of the famous towel drill was one I particularly never liked.
  4. The issue obviously isn't too severe that they opted for the conservative treatment route to avoid surgery. It just didn't resolve itself so they then opted for surgery. When the low back is involved it's always better to try the conservative route first.
  5. Had another one that didn't involve an athlete. Got a request to go into the stands at a high school football game. It was at a school that still has wooden bleachers. A guy went to slide over to accommodate other fans. When he slid over a significant "sliver of wood" went into one butt cheek and into the other so he closed his crack shut. It didn't break so he was still pinned to the bleachers.
  6. Keep them going. I have a warped mind to want to see what happens and how they recover.
  7. About the best you could hope for.
  8. Minimum 8 weeks that's only if it's a microdiscectomy, which is the most common back surgery. Hopefully they don't need to open him up. Then it's probably a Minimum of 12 weeks.
  9. Never liked his pitching philosophy. Good guy though.
  10. The worst one I saw in person (not including heart attack and passing away) was a lacrosse stick breaking and a guy finishing a scoop. The sharp stick slit open a guys scrotum and one testicle came rolling out, still attached. It was hanging between his legs like a yoyo.
  11. It does happen. However unless it is frequently abuse the MLB doesn't typically investigate during the regular season. During the post season it is watched much more closely.
  12. Now that they've been drafting more HS players we should expect the failure rate to increase again.
  13. Maybe that's how he was tipping it. If it's close to the zone it's a fastball. ?
  14. Unfortunately, that patellar dislocation and subsequent MPFL reconstruction can be really heard on the knee. And that was after the UCL reconstruction.
  15. It was reported he did.

While its available, it's not free. In Illinois we had to pay substantial fees for the dual college credit. Unless it's changed in the 3 years since my kinds took them.
  17. It really wasn't knee surgery. It was a tendon near the knee. I know its a technicality but it makes a difference. His knee joint is intact and structurally sound.
  18. I agree. Would everyone rather have the them struggle now as opposed to the end of the season and into the playoffs.
  19. 7 hits and 1 run doesn't cut it.
  20. 5 hits and 0 runs just doesn't cut it.
  21. MRI must have been pretty clean.
  22. While he played well, Fields showed his inexperience with going to the check down far too quickly and this is against a team that isn't scheming for him yet. He needs the time to develop some of the decision making. Don't ruin him by throwing him in there and making him just run for his life. That won't develop him as a qb.
  23. No my cap has a white front with a red bill. Was this the play on Eloy's SF when he slammed into the wall?
  24. Gray White Sox jersey autographed game worn Roberto Hernandez with a field of dreams t-shirt underneath. Greatful Dead Sox cap. I'm standing just over Gardners left shoulder.
