  1. I doubt there will be many "baseball fans" in attendance. This is the first unique small setting game. The park will be filled with MLB officials, their friends and celebrities.
  2. You'll have something more to complain about next year then.
  3. Maybe not in the 3, but a .800 OPS hitter is pretty valuable.
  4. Having the best slugging% of his career playing in that ballpark is pretty impressive.
  5. They didn't scout and sign tatis jr? The Cubans aren't part of the international scouting and signing? I thought the Sox went into international signing penalty because they signed Robert. It's all the same scouting outside the US regardless of the country of origin.
  6. Unfortunately the vast majority of parents and high school coaches don't agree.
  7. He's fine as a utility player. Unfortunately he's a starter on this team.
  8. no they aren't. next year is the next step and they should he competitive but it's not "win now." the would be 2021.
  9. I didnt make the comparison. someone else said the six should model after them and I replied.
  10. I would expect nothing else with the current roster. it why it's called a rebuild.
  11. at this point in the rebuild the Astros were losing 100 games each season. I bet you weren't saying this then.
  12. did you honestly expect the white Sox to compete with the Astros and red Sox this year?
  13. IMO, your best option is the LVT, luxury vinyl tile. It's easy to lay down and it snaps together. It should be flexible enough to accommodate the ramp. It's nice in the basement because it has it's own backing to provide cushion and some insulation for the basement floor.
  14. I wouldn't say a joke. Abreu and tatis jr. look to be good in the MLB and robert shows promise.
  15. I'm not disagreeing with the logic. I just don't see them having all 3 of those on the roster, even with the expanded roster.
  16. This really isn't true. He has seen 3.28 pitches per at plate appearance at AAA compared to Robert at 3.41. That isn't significant. He doesnt so much swing at everything, its more like he hits everything at which he swings.
  17. the fact that they brought him up and didnt play him, makes me think that they are really grooming him. from what I heard they really had him work with McCann on learning preparation and hitters. There is much more to being a catcher than hitting. I could be way off base but I think they are set on using a McCann/Collins tandem.
  18. I think they are going with Collins as the catcher with McCann. The left handed bat may be from RF. This isn't so much that I dont like Grandal as I think the Sox have too much invested in Collins to sign another catcher, from their view.
  19. I think the Sox really like the way he handles the pitchers which is why they signed hi. in the first place. I'm not saying your logic is wrong, I just don't think the Sox will do do that.
  20. I'm not sure why people keep discussing signing Grandal. The catching tandem next year will be McCann and Collins. The Sox will give Collins every chance to stick at catcher .
  21. Crap. thanks for the info. I'm a season ticket holder as well and was going to ask about it at the game tomorrow.
