  1. The Sox would be winners if tatis doesn't make it to the MLB period.
  2. He got away with 2 pitches in the zone on that last at bat according to pitch trax.
  3. In another thread you were complaining about him being too patient and letting pitches go by.
  4. He was a riot. Good guy. Not quite in the Ryan Dempster category but still fun.

Of course. There is usually a reason behind why players have a down year or slumps. In baseball, more often than not, (I admit to a bias) it is a nagging injury. The players just get the rest they need and pitching and hitting are such exact motions that a little pain or soreness can throw it off. The mental stress of the situation can be a factor though.

I disagree. Haven't you known people who get passed over for promotions at work even though they are more deserving? I don't care how dedicated you are it wears on you and performance and concentration can suffer. This is in the normal world. Compound that by needed the laser focused concentration baseball takes and it can effect performance. They are human and workplace issues will effect performance.
  7. Coop's stem cells will fix him?
  8. Just remind them about how many 100 loss seasons they had during their down years and the 108 years between WS.
  9. I was also at both of those. That opening day was awful, McDowell was pitching. I think he only got one or two outs.
  10. Wasn't the prevailing thought that Rosenthal was a KW mouthpiece?
  11. There was the kid in the Texas series who the announcers said was learning catching at the MLB level. Looking at his minors he only caught 31 games in the minors. Mostly an infielder.
  12. Payback for the Sox sweeping them in the WS.
  13. I think he pitches better when he pitches to contacts opposed to trying to strike people out,. His best games seem to bathe lower strikeout and lower walk games.
  14. JR should be commended for the deal he negotiated. It's a great business deal. If you're mad at anyone, be mad at the stupid politicians who agreed to it.
  15. Both were a fluke because he had that hand out there, granted he needed to for the attempted catch but baseball players need to protect their hands.
  16. I won a silent auction at a St. Patrick's day spring training game for a game worn Chris Snopek jersey. I still wear it proudly.
  17. He just needs to learn not to lead with his hand. Impact the wall with the elbow and don't put the thumb out when sliding.
  18. Typical 2 degree ligament sprain is 6-8weeks.
  19. I wouldn't call the injuries to Robert and Jimenez serious. I would call Roberts lengthy but nothing that is serious that would effect his playing. All of the others are serious enough to effect their future.
  20. He had plenty of time for the first injury to heal. Sounds like he just had another injury. Needs to stop leading with his hand.
  21. Too true.

Its just away to keep Eloy from being promoted.

If he did, they need to get him a brace for when he is on the base paths.
  24. Local broadcasts are supposed to be biased.
  25. There wasn't a wrist injury as far as I've read.
