The most shocking to me was Maddux striking out more than he allowed in BB+hits.

QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 02:27 PM) Nah never been stepped on.. I was always one of the faster players so they were never really close plays.. but I get what you guys are saying I was thinkin more along the lines of simply just sliding into the bag and breaking a finger from that As was mentioned earlier, ask Coco Crisp about that.

QUOTE(milrtyme28 @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 12:40 AM) Actually - there is something to that. I am in internet marketing and so I have some experience with this. In order for your site to come up in the top of a search on google ( if there are many other sites that could possibly come up before yours does ) you would need to have your site "optimized". There is a considerable investment involved and that would lead me to believe that there was a concious decision by the white sox to have thier site "optimized" for google searches in order to have it come up first. My company's site was done this way and it took considerable time and investment in order to make it happen. BTW - Ive been at WSI for years but enjoy the commentary here. Go Sox! Welcome to Soxtalk.

QUOTE(Soxfest @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 08:01 AM) Brew Crew is going to be over .500 and suprise some teams. They seem to be everybody's suprise team. Can they be that much of a suprise?

QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 07:19 AM) I probably won't use the Google argument. I don't quite understand it. That was a tongue-in-cheek post.

QUOTE(J-MAN @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 08:04 AM) As several people have posted if you are thinking of buying it I think Deep Discount DVD has the best price!!!! Yes ... and it was money well spent.

Crede had a Brooks Robinson type of post season. I'm sure he opened some eyes. He'll have to maintain that degree of excellence to reap the reward though.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 08:41 AM) While it sometimes becomes maddening, there is some value in Ozzie holding everyone in the roster responsible at any time. I totally agree with that. Ozzie makes them earn that roster spot. Not just getting it, but keeping it. I totally supported the way Ozzie handled the players last year and I see he's still at it this year. Bmac can't pitch 3 innings every game.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 11:05 PM) White Sox Everything else. What he said ^^^^^

Now we have something else to throw in Cubs fans faces when they talk about their attendance trophy.

QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:37 AM) I dont understand how you break your finger sliding.. Who is going into the base sliding with their hands mashed into the ground flat? I havent figured that out yet.. I always assumed everyone just slid with their palms somewhat up, at least thats how I slid Did you ever get your hand stepped on by someone wearing cleats? That'll do it.

I didn't see the game yesterday but a win is great
YASNY replied to White Sox Fan For Life's topic in Pale Hose Talk
What an informative, enlightening thread to read. Actually, it was funny as hell. -
QUOTE(DABearSoX @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:03 AM) For some reason this stuck out to me these first few games......I don't know if they have always done it and I just haven't noticed it before. Why are the guys running with thier batting gloves in thier hands?? Don't they usually give them to Harold or Cora? The carry the gloves so they'll hold on to them while attempting head first slides. It reduces chances of breaking fingers.

I don't know why anyone gets upset at this kind of thing.

If we had Freel instead of Podsednik, there is no way we'd be champs right not. How's that for a comparison?

QUOTE(Soxhawk13 @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 07:58 PM) First of all, this is my first post at this website. I've been a long time visitor to the site, but never actually signed up. I guess I just like to watch! Anyways, I figured what better way to start my post then by making some predictions about the Detroit series that I'm sure I'll mess up. I'll say Brian Anderson will hit his first homer of the season tomorrow afternoon. It's a big stadium, but I just have a feeling. I also will say Freddy has a much better game this time around. I think by this time next week, you'll be seeing one of those comparisions on Baseball Tonight showing the difference between our starting staffs first set of starts and their second. Buehrle got it going today, and I expect Freddy to follow suit tomorrow, and then Contreras on Wednesday. Sox win the series 3-0, with all of our starters earning the victories. That's just the way I feel going into this series. Be kind, remember, it's my first post. Welcome to Soxtalk, voyeur!

QUOTE(pale_hose @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 07:07 PM) Well, I was very very pleases with how the Sox played today, so I would like to tell you my predictions for the upcoming series against the Tigers. Sweep...Maybe I'm just too excited with how we pitched and played today, but Im feeling a sweep...Plus, even though the Tigers are like 5-1 or something, I think they are still a bad team...Its the Tigers for God's sake...we just need some players to stop slumping...pods for example...but once he gets going, we'll be back on track...does anyone else have predictions? You are drastically underestimating the Tigers.

It's about damn time. Time to bring the Kitties back down to earth.

I understand where you guys are coming from, but what does it say about us that we can find anything funny about oppressive poverty?

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 8, 2006 -> 03:01 AM) Did you watch the past two games? Did you watch last year?

QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 09:14 AM) Seize the Day, tomorrow may never come Look before you leap or he who hesitates is lost? Ummmmm ... He who hesitates. Maybe "If You Could Read My Mind" or "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" ?

QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 06:10 AM) That's because YAS was so upset when he found out the ship sank in Titanic No, I figured that out before the end. What got me was when I was told June Carter agreed to marry Johnny Cash before Walk The Line was even half over.

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 09:18 PM) Whoah. You live in the Appalachians? That's a messed up way to think. Whoah. You live in a big city? That's a messed up way to think.

They expect the rioting to quell itself this weekend as spring break hits and the rioters will be going on vacation. I don't believe any editorial comment is needed here. This speaks for itself.
