Our team is starting to get rather expensive, so guys like that are going to become important to our future success (past the next two seasons or so). We have Jenks, B-Mac, and Cotts to help our pitching a bit, and hopefully between Anderson and Owens we get at least one decent OF. But because of those deals this offseason there isn't much behind them for probably two years. We're eventually going to need some reinforcements from the minors, so I hope that when that happens they aren't already on another team's roster. Hind sight is 20-20. Every trade that was made brought screams of protest.

You speculate this. I'll speculate that. You speculate a response, then I'll do likewise. People. Nobody here KNOWS a damn thing about what was or was not there and what our, and others, intellingence reports were saying. Saddam was a brutal dictator that was playing hardball with UN inspections and he was shooting at US planes assigned to enforce UN sanctions. He was giving the impression that he had WMD's. These things are facts. All this speculation is meaningless and petty.

First, it was stated that there were conflicting reports, so it wasn't a slam dunk that the WH 'knew' the levees broke. Second, the first response is the responsibility of the state, not the Feds.

Sometimes, you trade off a bunch of prospects for proven ML talent and you win a World Series. Which is the ultimate goal, not prospect retention. Sure, eventually KW's going to trade a future star for a guy that doesn't pan out. It happens. So what? As long as this team has a realistic shot of a championship on opening day, I don't care how many propects he trades.

Looks damn good. The incorporated the skyline into the view from most of the ballpark. Not doing so is one huge mistake they made when the Cell was built.

Whew! I'm glads we don't have to worry about him in the AL Central.

I wonder if Widger realizes how knowledgable Sox fans appreciate how much he contributed in '05. AJ's been getting a lot of the kudos, but Widger was a very important part of the team.

I said it two years ago, and I'll say it now. Things are cyclical, and the tide is turning to where Chicago will eventually be a Sox town.
