  2. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 12:24 AM) I don't like you. I agree X gets the square....
  3. Just got back, and damn, what an amazing show. The Crowes kicked some ass to start and then Tom and the boys really hit it off. The new songs by TP were awesome and I was really impressed with the energy from the band.
  4. It's alot funnier when you listen to "Jeremiah was a Bullfrog" in the background, I just did it... But besides that, I about s*** myself...
  5. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jul 15, 2005 -> 12:32 PM) Just added to the Ipod Talking Heads Simon and Garfunkel Reel Big Fish (more) Peter Gabriel u2
  6. Chalk one up for the NHL here. At least they get the picture... Cough*MLB*Cough
  7. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 15, 2005 -> 08:43 AM) I saw this same show at Summer Fest two weeks ago. I'm a huge Crowes fan, but Petty was fun too. My only complaint is he doesn't mix up his set list too much. My buddy wants to go and doesnt have tickets, how hard do you think it would be to find a scalper with fair prices, and what's the best way to go about it...
  8. Actually I believe the term would be that Steinbrenner has a limp wang...
  9. I take it Youre going to Tom Petty, it's gonna be awesome, I'm looking forward to it.
  10. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 08:23 PM) Tom (8509) has hit the nail right on the head; I agree with everything he has said. But Keith bringing up Seabrook Barker and Byfuglien was genius, I failed to mention them. Big boys who will be great D-men for years to come. PS, Byfuglien was a shooter at one of my first goaltending schools, 260 pound 16 year old shooter scared the hell out of me. I was like 12 lol.
  11. I guess I'm in the casual category... ORIGINAL FOR SURE!!!
  12. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 05:37 PM) I've just recently gotten into Flogging Molly. At first I thought it was weird, but now it just rocks. That's how it was with me, I saw them play at Irish Fest out here at Gaelic Park in Oak Forest and I had a lot of fun so my buddies who liked them previously are taking me to Milwaukee to see the show.
  13. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 02:47 PM) Lets pray that he is okay so we can package him for Burnett.. That's the new rumor....
  14. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 03:13 PM) :puke Well said
  15. Mad props to Tex for his post, that's well said. Milkman, you took away my chances to rant now
  16. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 10:32 AM) Right now in my Cd changer My Chemical Romance Flogging Molly Millincolin Rise Against Motion City Soundtrac Fall Out Boy (cork tree) How's the new Fall Out Boy album? I bought the last one and thought it was garbage and gave it away, but i heard the new one's supposedly better. Also, are you going to see Flogging Molly on the 13th? I'll be up in Milwaukee seeing them the 11th and then on my way to Reel Big Fish and Coldplay in Wisconsin that weekend...
  17. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 01:43 PM) I like Rene Bourque, but don't think he is going to contribute anytime soon, and babchuk and keith are still a ways away. The hawks might contend, but not this year. I take it you haven't seen these guys play recently correct? And, the reason to deal Jimmy V was to get Zhamnov. Vandermeer can skate, hit, pass, shoot, and seems like a alternate captain candidate to me. Also, Colin Fraser, watch for him in 2 years gonna be gold, LOVED this kid last season in juniors...
  18. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 01:23 PM) I hope you meant for that to be green. Steve, I disagree. I loved the ties and I think shootouts destroy hockey. Like it's been said before, baseball games arent decided with HR derbies and basketball games dont end with dunk contests. If they cant decide a winner after regulation and an OT, then it's a tie. Also, the core of the Hawks isn't as bad as you say. Ruutu, Arnie, Bell, Calder, Berard, Vandermeer, McCarthy, Robidas, Barnaby, a HEALTHY Daze, all can contribute to a good team. The goaltending situation is excellent, Thibault is above average but I'm excited for the back up battle between my summer instructor Craig Anderson and Mike Leighton/ Corey Crawford. The stoppers we have waiting in the wings exite me. Also, Rene Bourque, Anton Babchuk, Duncan Keith, all can make an impact in the NHL next year. Don't s*** on the Hawks chances yet.
  19. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 01:04 PM) People suck. Most men aren't evil like that, but the few definitely taint the good apples in the dating pool. Sorry, the whole pool thing seemed funny to me. EDIT: Not the situation that happened at the pool, but the choice of words...
  20. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 11:30 PM) He's got the stuff though, no one doubts that. He's always had the stuff, the issue has always been control and consistency, not to mention mental stuff. He was shaky his second outing and I hope to see good things from him, but to be a good reliever you have to be consistant.
  21. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 07:02 AM) I have been reading nothing but good things about Hot Hot Heat's Elevator, but I am pretty unfamiliar with them. I thought I remembered a swing band with the same name. Is that them? No, Hot Hot Heat is kinda a garage-band kinda sound, one of their tracks is on the new MVP, "You Owe Me an IOU." I don't like that song much but the other tracks have some catchy beats and average lyrics. It's a fun CD.
  22. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 07:45 AM) Did he make that song while he was alive or dead? Its hard to keep track of all his after-life recordings. I believe it was one of the last recordings before his death.
  23. Hot Hot Heat- Elevator Birdman- Fast Money R. Kelly- TP.3 Led Zeppelin- Led Zeppelin III U2- The Joshua Tree I've been listening to those mostly the past few days. EDIT- THESE ARE NOT WHAT I'D BRING TO AN ISLAND
  24. Changes- Tupac Shakur
