Dont all the other major sporting leagues ban alcohol in the locker room? I would vote 'no' for alcohol in the clubhouse
-
if the AC trick really work, I think the Twins would have more than 15 home runs so far this year

whenever any player gets hit in the head area, I flash back to Dennis Martinez drilling Kirby Puckett for his last at bat as a player

there has been some clamerring amonst Twins bloggers for that senario to happen, where Mauer moves to 2, Cuddy 3, Justin 4 I dont know, it just seems like the whole team is in a hitting funk, a base running funk, and a pitching funk. it happens to every team once a season What I dont like is Punto at the 2 slot. Since about late August of last season, he's reverted back to a guy who swings at everything and tries to hit a homerun

that Royals- Twins affair this afternoon was some of the ugliest baseball played in a long time close to or over 25 runners were on base and only 1 run was scored that in the bottom of the 11th

LaVelle Neal has more http://www.startribune.com/blogs/neal/?p=98

Im pretty sure you cant do it on the mound unless the ump says so but you can go to your mouth if you are off the dirt of the mound

pot? cocaine? meth?

Twins won ugly tonight Twins hit 15 outs to finished their at bats, and a whacky finish to the game and something is wrong with Joe Nathan. Just about blew the game tonight. Thats 3 in a row

early reports are 'tightness in the elbow' that cant be good -
weaver went 6 innings, gvae up 7 runs, and still dropped his ERA in half

Jason Tyner almost hit a home run against Jeff Weaver tonight. it hit the base of the wall but he has 2 doubles so far tonight better check his bat for cork!

there is ZERO percent that Santana is traded and I think there is a 50/50 chance Hunter is traded, in contention or not
-
I was at the Dome last night to see Santana lose  just have to start another 25 game win streak! (or however long that was) Carl Crawford is one fast dude
-
going back to the Yankees series, I sort of miss Mientkiewich at first, but Morneau adds so much offense, it was a good move. But watching him rob Casilla brought back memories. heh Secondly, who knew Ramon Ortiz had enough moxie to 3 hit the Yankees lineup who slaughtered Twins pitching the previous 2 games and Joe Nathan should buy Carl Crawford a fancy dinner, because Crawford bailed Nathan out of that predicamint last night. That was some crazy baserunning pretty good matchup tonight. Santana -vs- Kazmir and on that SI report about Johan Santana, Joe Christenson from the Star-Tribune talked about it on his blog http://www.startribune.com/blogs/christensen/?p=105

Boof got slaughtered tonight against the Yanks lineup ye gods he is a nice pitcher, but man Boof gives up the long ball on a Bert Blyleven
-
the defense was horrible behind Ponson last night. Kubel miss played a ball early in the game that lead to runs, and the ump squeezed the strike zone on him so he basically had to throw it over the plate to get a strike call Im not saying he was Johan-like, but pitched better than the 8 runs he gave up
-
is Washington considered the worst team in baseball? they are being one hit by the DBacks going into the 9th
-
if youre going to build an outdoor stadium, make it with a retractable roof! Your lineup is going to light up Silva tommorrow, if the game is played
-
awesome Twins sweep the Orioles. Man the O's looked bad too. Sloppy defense and not running to the bases very hard
-
Wheres the AL Central Central thread? Ramon Ortiz for the Twins pitched decent tonight. 7IP, 2 R, 1 B, 4K hes a key for a good year for the Twins and on another note, InDemand and MLB reach an agreement. Dish Network still not on board for Extra Innings http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=ArVo...p&type=lgns

Joe Mauer has something called a 'stress reaction' in his leg not a good thing for a catcher I would think http://www.startribune.com/509/story/1072702.html

the Twins signed P Jesse Crain to a 3 year deal
