at the very least the sox could have a strong bench when its time to compete with Saladino, Sanchez and Leury but i'm really hoping that one of the can develop into a 2 win regular. I'm enjoying watching these "older" minor leaguers getting extended looks.
As am I. I've always been a Sanchez fan his glove is so slick he just needs to hit 280/320/380 to be a useful piece.

He's obviously a HOF caliber pitcher (just gave up a bomb to Machado on a side note) but we'll see where his career takes him.
Yolmer.
f***ing Sanchez is playing well too so far this year. I like him against lefties.
Just saw the video of the Moncada HR, was an absolute bomb to the power alley in left center. His stroke from the left is a thing of beauty.

Sale is going to get his cy young this year. It is going to be strange to watch him get inducted in the HOF as a member of the Red Sox
I honestly don't miss him that much. I enjoy watching him pitch, but there was really no pain watching him the other night verse the Yankees.

lame bases juiced no out for Abreu vs. 2 on 1 out...
Ump missed it, clear as day. wasn't even framed that well.

So true
Well, they kept him healthy for the better part of what, 7 years? We'll see if Boston can do the same, but in general I agree. The "pitch to contact" thing was stupid.
The season is 1/8 of the way over. It's literally like saying an NFL team that is 1-1 and currently in a WC spot is "contending".
Get back to me at the halfway point.
This article is pure garbage FYI, the writer has no clue about the Sox.
