  1. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 30, 2006 -> 07:21 PM) He sounds like Speedy Gonzalez. Andale! Andale! Vamos, vamos!
  2. I think we need shortstop help.
  3. "I'll tell ya whats the matter with you people from Southern California: you'd rather look good and lose than look bad and win".
  4. Pretty much Iguchi and Pods both suck against LH, which cripples the offense from the top. Uribe is the key to this team's offense IMO. The top of the order, including AJ and Crede, are all hitting either on pace or much better than their career averages, which is great, but with the pitching slacking, the offense needs to step up even more--which means Uribe and Anderson need to start pulling their weight. If the top of the order slumps a little, and lately they have, then Uribe can help offset that lack of production by being a run producing threat at the bottom of the order. A power hitting SS (at times) like Juan is a rare commodity, and with his all-world glove, I'm glad he's a White Sox. Lets hope Uribe's hot streak continues for awile.
  5. Juan Uribe is the f***ing man when he's on these hot streaks. At this rate, he'll be hot till the end of July, cold through september, and then he'll heat up for the playoffs!
  6. I'm f***ing sick of interleague play. The NL sucks, and it really hurts our lineup to take Thome/Kong out. I used to like interleague, but it should be limited to less games, and against the "chief" rivals.
  7. Pointless argument, but it's getting my post count towards the mythical 1000. I'm 22.
  8. QUOTE(valponick @ Jun 30, 2006 -> 12:51 PM) No, the word first appeared in the Dr. Seuss book "Marvin K. Mooney will you please go now!" That's all I was saying, I know how all the retards today use it. This is a pointless argument, probably showing the differences in our ages more than anything. I still argue that the term now has no derivation in any Dr. Seuss book.
  9. QUOTE(valponick @ Jun 30, 2006 -> 10:19 AM) It's hilarious that word came from a Dr. Seuss book and now its cool. As far as this series goes I'm taking an extended lunch today so I can watch the game! GO SOX Nah man, "crunk" comes from a combo of "chronic" and "drunk". For example, "Lets get some gin and juice, role up a blunt, and get crunk."
  10. LOL, "birds***". I might have to start using that in daily conversation. "This toast is birds***" "Doesn't this light ever change, birds***" "How does this birds*** work, anyways?"
  11. Look at it this way: with every 1 run loss, it means less "luck" comments at the end of the year from Dayn Perry!
  12. Junk managing from Ozzie today. Christ.
  13. Wow, the was possible the hardest looking 3 up, 3 down imaginable. I have no confidence in Pollitte.
  14. Wow, Ozzie is TRYING to lose the game. Politte? Cliffe f***ing Pollitte? Jesus.
  15. How some of you guys can say "it's over" down two runs in the 7th is pretty silly if you ask me.
  16. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 02:40 PM) Thanks, but I'll pass on that. Regardless of when you starting ripping the entire rotation it's still undeserved and completely off base to call the starting staff "in shambles" as you did a few minutes ago. I've collected all the information I need. Whatever dude, were clearly not going to win "anything" with this pitching staff. A .640% winning percentage sucks.
  17. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 02:37 PM) Maybe you need someone to explain to you the concept of a knee jerk reaction? I've been saying our starting pitching hasn't been good for nearly a month. Feel free to read up on that. You get the Trophy!
  18. Maybe Ozzie is in shock from how well the bullpen is pitching lately and forgot he had a pinch hitter on the bench... That's the only explanation for that boneheaded move.
  19. great, rain delay. Anyone know if it's going to blow over or is this game pretty much done?
  20. Another worthy topic on the frontpage of Palehose. Can we start losing or something?
  21. I think you're right Rowand44--offensively he's streaky, but he's playing tremendous defense again, and that makes him worth trotting out there even during his cold streaks. He's great at going to his left and right, has a cannon, and is excellent at turning the DP--I still like having him at SS over Cintron--not that you suggested that.
  22. Uribe is proving his value, it's about time. I'm a big fan of his, and was hoping for some more consitency, 'guess I'll have to settle for these hot streaks.
  23. WTF, Montero, Thornton, and Garcia combine for 3 runs in 8 innings? Oh, were playing the Pirates? Nevermind. Good work though by those guys, you play who's on the schedule.
  24. Actually, one look at Owens' terrible AAA numbers should clear up any doubt that he's not ready, and might not be ever ready. For a slap hitting LF, he better be able to get on base at a good clip, and he's shown little in the way of the necessary plate discpline. It might be about time to give up on Owens. Apparetnly there was a fairly large fight behind home plate at Wrigley last night in th 9th inning.
