Everything from the stats profile and just watching suggests he grooves too many fastballs, maybe as he tires in the 2nd innings. Should be something that can get corrected.

Sure but it all counts and he's been one of teh worst players in baseball. I also don't see a mid 20s guy suddenly picking up the OF. Most guys that get switched there you can tell within a couple weeks if it's going to work. I give him another month or so, but tonight he's starting at SS and Montgomery is DH. Puke.

No reason to rush to trade Vargas, as of now he's still got plenty of control and is an ascending player. He also seems to be a bit of a clubhouse leader and we do need that, it helps guys in ways we don't see, and while it might not mean much, it does make coming to work a better experience and that never hurts.

Well it's one of the 2-3 best road trip destinations for them. Even the scrubs are rich enough to go enjoy the best michelin star restaurants and other night life . The key is selling the Sox within Chicago, going to be hard until JR hands over the keys.
