I truly think Jerry will make TLR step down after yesterday
with 2 strikes almost ever hitter is leury garcia levels of dangerous. the league usually hits like 200/250/300 with two strikes. it was an indefensible decision, a million times worse than not "defending" Mercedes or any bullshit like that.

Who is Changing Plans? Attending Less Games
bro we have like 3 division titles and 1 WS in like 100 years. We're all fucking diehards at this point.

Who is Changing Plans? Attending Less Games
I can't enjoy sitting down for the games anymore. TLR today was my last straw. There's so many things that need to go right to win a ballgame and having him at manager is tying one hand behind your back. He did dumb shit last year but it was typical "most manager dumb shit", this year he's taken it to a whole 'nother level. As I said the other day, shades of late stage Ozzie where he has completely lost the plot and is playing scrubs every single day high up in the order.

Not a chance I go to see them at T Mobile this year. Oh well, I'll spend the couple hundred bucks elsewhere and enjoy it much more.

6/9 GT: LAD @ Sox 1:10pm (Cease vs. Anderson)
You have to fire TLR.

6/9 GT: LAD @ Sox 1:10pm (Cease vs. Anderson)
This is a .500 team. At best.

Eloy rehab starts again 6/21
The entire team trains the wrong way other than Cease and I'd imagine some of the other pitchers. Too many of our guys are young and suffering chronic lower body issues. That's a training issue when it happens across the team and with young players. Shit, ask Jake Burger what he does to stay healthy coming off two torn achilles I bet he has a lot of insight.

Leury Garcia - Tony La Russa and Rick Hahn and beyond....
While I disagree with Ray's categorization of Leury as a "dime a dozen" type utility guy (he's not, he's a 1 WAR player that plays 7 positions cromulently) there is absolutely no defending his usage or his contract and the process that has led us to him nearly leading the team in PA 1/3 of the way into the season. If the Sox had gone and gotten a real solution in RF and 2B and THEN came to Leury and said "go test the market" and the market said well three years 5.5 million AAV is what it's going to take then fine. But that's not the process that occurred. As Ray noted they seemingly had "resign Leury at whatever cost" as a first order of business. That's insane.

GT 6-4: Dodgers @ Sox (7:10pm)
this team needs a shakeup, bring up some kids.

most the detroit teams, but misery loves company.

- GT 6-4: Dodgers @ Sox (7:10pm)
just moreso referring to the how that process of finding a RF went down. Well, I guess that was gavin sheets according to TLR. FML.- GT 6-4: Dodgers @ Sox (7:10pm)
that's why you don't settle for Pollack and Leury and Harrison, ever. Shit happens in baseball. We saw it just with the Twins last year.- GT 6-4: Dodgers @ Sox (7:10pm)
Sox knocked in 15% of baserunners last year. This year it's at 12.5% entering tonight.- GT 6-4: Dodgers @ Sox (7:10pm)
so fucking tired of this Team RISP: 0-6 (Abreu 0-1, Moncada 0-1, García 0-1, Mendick 0-1, Robert 0-1, Grandal 0-1)- GT 6-4: Dodgers @ Sox (7:10pm)
why do I even ever bother to sit down and watch this shit.- GT 6-4: Dodgers @ Sox (7:10pm)
That's fine but we're scraping .500 and it's early June and they had an offday monday. If he can't play three games in a row right now what the heck.- GT 6-4: Dodgers @ Sox (7:10pm)
TLR is fucking brain dead. Shades of Ozzie's last year. edit: Just read his quote's on Andrew needing a day off after a "tough series on turf" -- dude, he just had a day off Monday. He's 24 FFS. It's not like he's some 32 year old in the midst of some brutal 30 games in 31 day stretch in the heat of August.- GT 6-4: Dodgers @ Sox (7:10pm)
Adam Engel needs to be starting tonight, there's no excuse for it. You're probably looking at another low scoring game and not only is his bat better than Gavin's against LHP he's going to make probably one more play out there tonight than Gavin over 9 innings and that will be important.- GT 6-4: Dodgers @ Sox (7:10pm)
why the fuck is Gavin starting? JFC.- Who is excited for the shift to maybe, possibly come to an end?
So, it's not fair to RHB that they have to run an extra 5 feet to 1st base. It's not fair to LHB that they have to throw right handed if they want to play anywhere other than 1B in the infield. "Fairness" arguments don't hold any water as "fairness" as a goal is silly. Now, if you want to talk about aesthetic reasons I'm open. There is an argument that advanced shifting, based on data that simply wasn't available even 15 years ago, makes the game worse for viewing.- GT 6-4: Dodgers @ Sox (7:10pm)
Sounds like 3-4 weeks on all those guys. Maybe Eloy in two weeks but they are taking it very slowly with his hammy, as they should.- GT 6-4: Dodgers @ Sox (7:10pm)
I don't know why but I'm feeling like the club can take this one again tonight, perhaps even easily. Dodgers are scuffling a bit and Chicago is playing some crisp baseball, at least if you don't consider RISP. Baby steps. - GT 6-4: Dodgers @ Sox (7:10pm)
