White Sox vs Athletics: Reylo against Bassitt
Yup he has absolutely zero idea where the ball is going and his stuff isn't good enough to be "effectively wild". Leaves a lot of 94 mph flat fastballs in the zone.

White Sox vs Athletics: Reylo against Bassitt
Nice play by Collins on the wild throw by Sheets at home and saves a run.

Fulmer's delivery looks a little less max effort this spring.

White Sox vs Athletics: Reylo against Bassitt
EE killed a few worms with that one, mercy.

EE does not get cheated.

White Sox vs Athletics: Reylo against Bassitt
Couple more runs for Oakland on some soft contact. Fulmer comes on and gets the last two outs without too much bother. Mendick made the final out at SS, doesn't appear to hvae the strongest arm.

Grandal will be a breath of fresh air for us fans and the staff after years of bad framing.

White Sox vs Athletics: Reylo against Bassitt
Totally. And mentally. ReyLo is a bit of a headcase out there. Having someone grabbing him borderline strikes is going to help him quite a bit.

Keuchel spends $25K for organization-wide dinner
Usually on something like that it's a min 20% gratuity fee. Probably a shared tip but still not a bad night for a server.

White Sox vs Athletics: Reylo against Bassitt
I'd take a guy coming off 144IP and a 4.4 FIP over Reylo and Gio, easy.

White Sox vs Athletics: Reylo against Bassitt
That's excellent news. As for Reylo, same. Results don't matter. Just go out and throw with good mechanics for a couple innings and call it a day.

Keuchel spends $25K for organization-wide dinner
Really nice gesture and a good way to ingratiate himself to his new teammates.

White Sox vs Athletics: Reylo against Bassitt
Bassitt is a nice reminder that the Sox made a lot of bad trades before the rebuild. Or to put it more accurately: they made a lot of short sighted trades. Bassitt would look pretty damn good as a cheap 5th starter this year. Oh well, onwards! Go Sox.

FS: Jake Burger: Forgotten, but not (yet) gone
I'm guessing he asked for leave and it was granted. I think the heel injury might have been the death knell for him. Probably just said "fuck it" after that and hey it's his decision. He could grind for 10 years making 30K a year at most and wakeup and be 35 and spent some of his best years doing what? I don't begrudge jake anything as a person. As a fan sure it's hard to swallow a top pick doing jack squat but as a person Jake is free to pursue his happiness without my judgement.

FS: White Sox saw something in Codi Heuer
This is why you don't trade for bullpen pieces in March. Wait and see what you have in your own camp first. The Sox have quite a few interesting young arms. This guy's stats were impressive last year for where he was drafted. He could contribute this year at the MLB level.
-
FS: Jake Burger: Forgotten, but not (yet) gone
Not around the team in any capacity right now. 99% of minor league players are in some form of organized camp right now. Burger is not. What does that say?

Sox in Discussions for Moncada Extension per Y2Jimmy
Fake ass insider Not Steve Cishek tweeted last night things had gone "silent" on purpose, just the way the Sox prefer it blah blah blah.

FS: What's Driving Mercedes' Power?
He's almost certainly going to get a shot this year, unless you think Jose and EE play a combined 300 games. He's a DH/1B only. You can't have him catch a MLB game based on what we've seen this spring. I'm not sure why the Sox haven't gotten off the pot on that yet.

Fangraphs and Luis Robert
A must read article from Dan Z on Robert today. TL:DR is that if Robert hits his 80th or 90th percentile ZIPS projections the White Sox are about even odds to make the playoffs. And Dan is about as optimistic as you'll ever hear him on Robert beating his own projection system's odds. @Quin @bmags @Balta1701 can one of you guys move this thread to the main forum now that Robert is a Big Leaguer? Or maybe this post can headline the new MLB one! Thanks!

Padres @ Sox | 2:05PM CT | Whitesox.com
Dan Z just did a long look at Robert. He projects there is roughly a 40% chance Robert is above 3 WAR this year. Wow. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/the-white-sox-playoff-road-is-parallel-to-the-luis-robert-expressway/
