Got lit up in his one Charlotte start.

Core: Meidroth, Montgomery, Quero, Teel Peripheral: Vargas, Sosa, Burke, Smith, Taylor, Vasil Could be useful as end of roster on a good team: Baldwin, Cannon, probably some relievers on farm / current MLB roster We need to find like 50 HR somewhere. Maybe Colson can be half that.

Altavilla is fine for what he is imo, not a great reliever but not an awful one. Hopefully on a good Sox team he's like the 4th guy out of the pen type. Difference tonight was Colson and some good patient ABs. You can dream on Colson hitting 240/330/460 for the next 5 years with solid defense... edit: colson one of 37 players this year to record 3 or more EVs > 107mph in a game. Kid has special traits, we'll see how it pans out for him.

I just watched 30 minutes or so on him. He's def an interesting athlete. His arm is sneaky fast. Quite liquid. See if he can hit velocity at all I guess.

Colson is the best athlete and actual ball player prospect on the team in a long time. He kinda reminds me of Robin. The AAA stuff was just a guy going through a setback just like Robin's MLB first month was. Their athletic gifts are too good to fail too often and being lefty is a huge advantage day to day as hitter, let alone an elite defender. Not saying Colson will have Robin's career but he will def hold his own even when his bat is scuffling he can impact game in other areas.
