  1. Yoan is improving rapidly on his feeds at third. NICE!
  2. yea I thought he got it off the end of the bat, turned out he just ripped it.
  3. won't work most nights but at least nova is throwing strikes.
  4. Damn, another good AB from McCann tho.
  5. Jesus Moncada has the quickest hips I've ever seen in a Sox uniform. Would have been a helluva safety.
  6. Holy fuck I just remembered Paco Martin for the first time in like 20 years and you blew my mind.
  7. This is another sign that this isn't a bad club, they are just mediocre. Baby steps. The last two games were as well, when the Sox hung around before bowing out against elite pitching.
  8. San Diego is a great fucking town. Just spent some time down there for the 1st time about a month ago. Perfect beach vacation town. Food and weather and people were all outstanding. Not to mention the marine life.
  9. HOF bound. Last night he was DFA bound. Fortunes change quick in this sport.
  10. I tell ya what I'd pay good money to see Sale and Eaton fight. Sale has an obvious reach advantage but if Eaton gets him on the ground it might be Eaton that emerges the winner.
  11. Sox have faced some tougher pitching lately. Just wait until he feasts against the dogs of the AL Central all August and September.
  12. It's pretty suspicious. Verlander was toast, then he got traded and found his fastball again.
  13. That's his mode 1/5 starts. The other 4 he has no secondary pitches he can throw for a strike and his fastball is sitting 92-94 with very little movement. For a brief period he had a wicked 2 seam fastball but that appears to have been a fluke.
  14. Do the astros have synthetic T cookies that they just pass out on a daily basis? It's absolutely uncanny how their aging pitching staff keep getting better and better.
  15. thanks in the future I'll use the correct spelling to indicate the correct meaning.
  16. a bunch of heresy but nothing concrete. Still, where there is smoke there is fire and the smoke has followed Eaton around his entire career.
  17. if true some of the details in that story make Eaton sound like a huge fucking baby. Eaton has a Napoleon Complex no doubt.
  18. on the other hand they traded Eaton at the absolute peak of his value.
  19. I'm thinking Fulmer for a bucket of seeds. They don't even have to be Spitz. I'll take David.
  20. One of my dad's favorite players. A shame he isn't in.
  21. He's sporting a 917 OPS in AAA with a 21/39 BB/K ratio. Way too many strikeouts but he's had plenty of seasoning and knows how to take a walk and can hit the ball hard when he makes contact. Get him up here. There's really not much more he can improve down in the minors. Any adjustments he needs to make to be a decent every day regular will have to occur at the MLB level. Might as well get started on that process.
  22. Let me preface this by saying that Jason has been better this year but he was absolutely AWFUL last night. In what was a competitive game he was often focused anywhere but on the action in front of him.
  23. He's faced some tough matchups and held his own. Last night at 3B I thought he looked as natural as he has all season. Not hesitating so much on his "plenty of time" pegs across and is looking more fluid. Looks like the Sox have their 3B for the next 8 or so years. Time to find some more good players.
