Like I said earlier, only coaches/players/GMs with legendary careers should be giving statements. For everyone else go ride off into the sunset and be glad you made as much money as you did to suck so badly.
-
I bet there’s not a ton of players who have hit 34 HR with only 70 something RBIs
-
Even if Getz is semi competent, would he even have the resources to compete in the year 2023? It sounds like our analytics and other resources are so behind the times.

Law’s piece this morning was beautiful. Just a complete obliteration of the front office.

yeah don’t get me wrong, Hahn stunk and deserved to be fired. But when you try to resign and aren’t allowed, it’s pretty shitty way to do business. Hahn can suck and JR treated him poorly. It’s not right to hold someone hostage when they want to take accountability and resign.
-
Dang, I feel bad for Hahn after reading some of these articles. He was in a really shitty position. No win working for KW and Jerry. Sheesh.

I think only legends should do farewell messages.

I go to a lot of Durham Bulls games living right here. Wouldn’t be too hard to switch fandom. Although I am still a Blackhawks fan even with the Hurricanes a stones throw away.
-
Reinsdorf couldn’t be this stupid, could he? It’s almost laughable to suggest Getz let alone hire him after this debacle.
-
The way large language models work is you could put in every single signing, trade, draft pick from successful and non successful franchises and create algorithms based on what’s worked and what hasn’t. Not saying you do it, but I’d bet you it would’ve outperformed Hahn.
-
What could they possibly point to in Getz? No credible organization would hire him as GM.
-
No exaggeration that an AI model would outperform Hahn/Kenny
-
If they hire Chris Getz I think I’m done

LOL “Ken is a son to me” and no mention of Rick.

Not going to debate the TV contracts aren’t a consideration, but Oakland will be going to Vegas (far smaller population than the Bay Area). A MLB team in Nashville would crush it if placed correctly and marketed. Again you have to think about the next 15-20 years. IMO far far more appealing to be in Nashville than a slowly dying Chicago’s second fiddle

Or maybe the motivation is that the organization is a complete dumpster fire?
