  1. If he’s non-tendered id absolutely go after him. If he’s not, there’s no chance Jed would trade him across town.
  2. Do we really want another HR or K guy like Gallo? Maybe I’m exaggerating but thought more of a contact hitter would be preferred
  3. You joke but there’s truth to that statement
  4. If Stevie Cohen wants Theo he will get him
  5. Is Springer complimentary? I’m going on memory but doesn’t he strike out quite a bit too? Obviously a great player but is that a good use of $ on a team like the Sox?
  6. What’s the best approach for another starting pitcher? Is there anyone we could buy low on in FA that still has the upside to be a 2/3 starter?
  7. Reinsdorf has always been this way, we’re just seeing a magnified version
  8. Any normal company, even small ones, regularly perform background checks. either the Sox didnt, or they did and are still ok with it. Not sure which is worse tbh.
  9. White Sox: Let’s hire a 76 year old La Russa: Hold my beer
  10. Basically the stereotypes are turning into reality. Sigh.
  11. “When reached by phone Monday night La Russa said, “I have nothing to say” and hung up the phone” WTF. This is a dumpster fire!
  12. I can’t even come up with a worse candidate than this if I tried. We hired someone if their late 70s who’s been out of managing for a decade with two recent DUIs? is this a fucklng company softball league?
  13. How about the Sox give up multiple young controlled players for non difference makers? How quickly can we unload long term success for the sake of a short term dopium hit?
  14. We should not be actively trying to shop Madrigal and Vaughn. Cost controlled young players who are contact oriented with great plate discipline should be KEPT. Why does half the board want to trade these guys? Did you come from the Stan Bowman school of GMs?
  15. It would be nice for us to be creative and thoughtful ala Tampa Bay. Who are some potential targets that “could” have just as much impact as the top targets but are more buy low candidates?
  16. 10/10 other GMs would love to pull that kind of trade off with the Sox. Madrigal is a decade plus above average player.
  17. You have to question the stomach on Hahn if he’s content to continually get walked over. He’s kind of been emasculated.
  18. After a good night sleep, I woke up thinking this hire is even more garbage than I initially thought.
  19. This city is littered with GMs and Owners who think they are smarter than the rest of the league. Today is just a new chapter in this same story. We can talk ourselves out of it, but the reality will eventually rear its ugly head.
  20. For crying out loud...this team can be embarrassing https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/30219632/aj-hinch-signature-chicago-white-sox-email-welcoming-tony-la-russa-glitch
  21. I’ve taken some time today to cool off and clear my mind about this hire. Pretty much block out all the noise and overreactions. That being said, what a complete sh!t hire.
  22. Hahn can watch but he has to sit in the corner
