It's definitely not better than the a's big 3 (4 really) This year they're just as good, if not better. In the regular season, its close. However, i prefer to choose history when evaluating players, and the oakland trio is much better. Not to mention, they have much more playoff experience. Really, its a no brainer. Hmmm...I dunno. Colon alone might have as many playoff starts as Oakland's 3. Anyone have the stats? If only he could start every game. Buehrle didn't pitch in the 2000 playoffs, right? And I'm sure Loaiza has never been in the playoffs, so Colon would be the only guy who's been there. But, if we manage to make it, I like our chances with our 3 headed monster.

Sadly, Cuban is very right. This case, which won't have an outcome for possibly up to a year, is going to draw attention to every Laker game, and as a result, will draw attention to the NBA as a whole. Love Kobe or hate him, there will be a curiosity from non-basketball fans, and that is good for the NBA. It's too bad that something like this has that kind of an affect, but it does.

Avoid any company that charges an installation fee. Most companies nowadays will charge $0 for installation, as it's very easy to do yourself. They send you the wires/modem in the mail, and you follow the basic directions. I recently got DSL through Earthlink, and it's $29.95 for the first 6 months, and $49.95 for the next 6 months. It's a 1-year contract, which is pretty standard. The equipment was free, and since I installed it myself, obviously it too was free. I've only had a minor problem here and there, but there is almost never downtime, and the speed is pretty good (usually in the 600-800k range). Also, if you decide to go with DSL, make sure that you check to see how far away your house/apartment is from the CO (Central Office). DSL has a range of up to around 15,000 feet, which is a little less than 3 miles. The closer you are to the CO, the better speed you will have. I am less than a mile from my CO, so that helps. If you're 14,999 feet away, you might want to wait until something closer comes along. And in terms of the e-mail addresses and web space, that is all standard. Don't let that determine which company you use. Besides, who needs 5 e-mail addresses? And no, that does not seem like a good deal to me.

IMO, that was different. That was just after all of these allegations were made public and everyone was in a frenzy about it. It's been nearly a month now, and a lot of the talk has died down. It's "safe" to do this at this time IMO. And also, how often did you see Kobe and Vanessa out in public prior to the last month? By all accounts, they NEVER went to functions such as the ESPY's or other such award shows, so it seems kind of odd to me that they would all of a sudden have a desire to do these things.

WTF, I have Ameritech DSL and they make me connect. Define "connect". With Earthlink, there's a logo that you can click, and it brings up a sign-on screen where you enter your username and password. But, I was curious to see what would happen if I simply clicked the IE icon, and it loaded just great. No need to sign-on. Maybe that's because I have my UN/password saved?
