Wild Card Wednesday!
QUOTE (JPN366 @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 11:26 PM) Not the Yankees fault, Boston shouldn't have been in that spot. I agree with you. I'm just saying what they will say.

Wild Card Wednesday!
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 11:25 PM) Makes me giggle that on the day Ozzie is hired in Florida, Tampa definitely steals the headlines. +1

Wild Card Wednesday!
QUOTE (JPN366 @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 11:22 PM) Scott Procter would've given up a homer eventually, what was he in, his 4th inning? Yes. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 11:23 PM) Andino's f***ed the Red Sox over 3 times already. It's crazy. What was the third time? QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 11:24 PM) Joe Maddon looks 10 years younger than he did in the Rays WS season a couple of years back. I love that guy. He looks like Joe Walsh. I'm not sure how Walsh usually looks, but check out what he looked like on the Drew Carey Show.

Wild Card Wednesday!
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 11:20 PM) Just to spite the Red Sox Nation? It was curious and it will be a decision that is dissected across the country, not using Rivera there to close it out. ROBERT ANDINO=BUCKY DENT 2.0 Poor Chris Boomer Berman. And Joe Biden's prayers apparently didn't work either The Red Sox fans will surely claim that NY threw it. And good call on Andino being Dent.

Wild Card Wednesday!
Did anyone else find it cool that whoever was controlling the scoreboard in TB waited for a good opportunity (with Longoria up instead of Upton) to announce that the Red Sox had lost?

Ozzie Guillen Released from Contract
QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 11:02 PM) So you wanted the wsox to commit blackmail to get Logan Morrison? I'd be down with that.

Your favorite moment(s) of the 2011 season?
QUOTE (VictoryMC98 @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 09:59 PM) I don't think you are nobody.. Someone loves you 11 years, and the same problems.. I stated both need to go, but the wrong guy left... Now its on Kenny to prove Ozzie was the problem. Whatever, guy. I've never said that. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 10:02 PM) Adam Dunn opening day home run, before the hysterectomy. One game that really stands out is the extra innings game against the Nationals. 3 comebacks, Sox still lost. Coco Crisp attempting to steal home sticks out too. What an awful season. Haha.

Wild Card Wednesday!
f***ing Rays don't even look like they deserve it, even after that comeback. Is their offense really this bad? Every guy going up there is batting as bad as Dunn.

Your favorite moment(s) of the 2011 season?
QUOTE (VictoryMC98 @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 09:49 PM) Would you stop your BS.. and think somehow the problems of the Sox are solved? And if you are the GM and the owner tells you no.. then if you are a man, and you are good.. you quit, and go get a job where you have the power to do what is is needed. Since I think Kenny is a man... First of all, nobody is saying that the Sox problems are fixed. Nobody. And perhaps KW should have just quit on the team, like their former manager.

Your favorite moment(s) of the 2011 season?
QUOTE (VictoryMC98 @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 09:42 PM) None, this season was a 100% failure... And the GM should have seen that in June, traded away what the sox can.. and started toward 2012, then waiting till now to realize it. And if Ozzie was the problem as some here think, then the GM should have had the balls to fire him, or quit himself. I'm awaiting the 2011 offseason and think the sox are going to try to get under 90 Million payroll as much as they can. Williams tried to fire Ozzie in the past. He didn't have the power from JR. But my God, would you drop it? You're ruining every thread you touch.

Ozzie Guillen Released from Contract
QUOTE (Papa Tru @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 09:21 PM) How is that even possible? They are all KW's players.. Ozzie didnt do anything to make Adam Dunn flop, Jake Peavy fall apart, and Rios to not give a s***.. there was nothing that could be done about that.. Yes, who saw it coming.. I know.. However, they were still moves that didnt work out at all.. I dont think I need to bring up Dan Hudson.. KW should have been relieved of his Gm duties just as much as Ozzie should have been relieved of his manager duties.. I dont see what changes with this team now.. Um, part of Ozzie's job is to get his players to f***ing care. I can buy the other stuff, but Rios is definitely, at least in part, on Ozzie.

Ozzie Guillen Released from Contract
There have been plenty of us comparing Ozzie to Ditka for years.

Wild Card Wednesday!
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 08:16 PM) The yanks should have thrown the game? No, I think he's saying that they're doing the right thing for themselves.

Wild Card Wednesday!
Thanks a lot, Yankees, you f***ing jagoffs. Now you just know the Red Sox will go on a ridiculous run in the playoffs.

Hawk signs a 4 yr deal..
QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 05:35 PM) I just think you could have a Hawk soundboard every game and push buttons since he never says anything new or bring anything to an individual game outside of his homerism. I don't think a new voice on TV would of been a bad thing. I advocated the soundboard years ago, and I agree.

Your favorite moment(s) of the 2011 season?
1.) Guillen quitting on this team physically after having quit on them much earlier 2.) Walker announcing that he won't be back That's about it. The first game was pretty fun, though.

Catch All Anything Thread
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 05:09 PM) THat happens to me on rare occcasions when I'm flying between lots of threads. I'm on the board quite often, so I can finish each thread pretty quickly (there might be like 10 new posts in each thread unless it's a really popular one). That could be it.

Ozzie Guillen Released from Contract
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 05:17 PM) Greg- I want you to consider something. You seem like a very loyal guy. Loyal to players, coaches and managers that had a lot of meaning to the organization. Even well after their prime, you defend them. There is something good about that. But let me ask you this. Let's say you are in Jerry Reinsdorff's shoes. He too is a very loyal guy (which alone should tell you something here). The organization has had multiple disappointing years in a row, despite your spending of a lot of money. You've got two people under him, that over the past month, have done this: Person #1 offered to step down to a lower role due to the failures of the team. Person #2 asked repeatedly for a raise and a long term contract, despite those same failures. So, if loyalty is your game... which of those two do you keep? Because it seems to me that you are backing the wrong horse here, based on your own admitted tendencies. I can't wait for this response...

Catch All Anything Thread
Can somebody please tell me what the reason is that MY BROWSER KEEPS MARKING THREADS I'VE READ AS UNREAD?! I'll go through a forum and read the new stuff in about five threads and when I got back to the forum, all or most of the stuff it had already marked as read will be unread again.

Let the Rebuild Begin
QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 02:14 PM) But that team you list will include players we get for Danks and Floyd. Are you saying those will be minor leaguers? You lineup looks like the team. Seriously will it be the slowest team in the history of baseball? Those guys better hit a ton of home runs. Very very slow. Maybe slowest team in Sox history? Not even close to both of those bold sentences.

9/28 Blue Jays at White Sox
How fitting was it that Juan Pierre made our last out? QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 03:39 PM) Wow, a bulls*** call fitting of this season. He didn't swing.
