I watched it with people, but I didn't talk. I sat in the same spot for every playoff game, sitting in the same position. Whenever anyone asked what I would do if they win, I wouldn't even respond to their question.

The more I look at this list, the more I realize that I'm really just not a fan of the horror genre. The only ones I really like would be better classified as psychological thrillers.

Just f***ed that one up, Balta.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 25, 2010 -> 12:19 PM) Because baseball just isn't fun if it's not played in November. The serious answer continues to be the TV schedule. Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, (Monday), (Wednesday), (Thursday). You're guaranteed weekend evening games and you avoid Friday night. Why would you want to avoid Friday night? I could be wrong, but I would think that games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights would be the best rated.

I have no evidence to support this, but I seriously doubt it would cause a problem. I'm also pretty sure you can get the shot administered to any number of other locations.

QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Oct 25, 2010 -> 12:09 PM) I can agree with this, after the 4th movie they took things a little too far imo, I don't mind gore but number 5 and 6 were hard to watch. Naturally, I'll have to go see Saw 3D, not really interested but kind of have to watch how the series ends. Speaking of horror films, Rec, Exorcist, Saw, The Shining & Pans Labyrinth are up there for me, in general I prefer the older stuff, the newer movies I find to be completely terrible and the majority just have some blonde slut running around screaming. No offense, but how can you be unaware that this won't be the last one? Didn't they say the last one was the final one? They're just going to pump that garbage out until people stop eating it up. And what is Rec? QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 25, 2010 -> 12:10 PM) I was into the original until the ending, which was so absurd it blew the whole movie for me. I never had any urge to watch another one after that. SAME HERE!

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 25, 2010 -> 12:13 AM) I remember really wanting to finish off the sweep, not because I wanted it sooner, but because the Astros had Clemens, Pettitte, and Oswalt going in the next 3 games, and considering what the Red Sox had done the year before, I was a bit scared. Looking back on it now, I'm not sure the Sox really had anything to worry about, because they likely would have ended it in game 5 anyways because the Sox have historically hit Clemens pretty well (and that year was no different), Clemens was hurt anyways, and the odds of the Sox not winning one of those next 3 was pretty minimal to begin with the way Contreras, Buehrle and whichever of Garland and Garcia would have gone in game 7 (really probably could have gone to either of them). But yeah, I still pop in the World Series DVDs from time to time and just smile. That was a joyride. I still don't believe that was a real injury.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Oct 24, 2010 -> 11:50 PM) Haha the bolded is so true. We realistically had one of the most dominant postseason rules to a championship sports has ever seen, but because of the whole 1917 thing and how close a lot of the games were, it was so incredibly stressful. I don't want to imagine how I would have been had the series been going 6 or 7 games (or 4 or 5 in round 1). As for the "over it" thing, 2005 is no longer a defense for Kenny and Ozzie and their job security. As far as I'm concerned, they should be held to the same standards as anybody else in regards to whether to retaining their employment, and 2005 should not play a factor at all in regards to if they stay around or not. HOWEVER, I'll never be "over" 2005. It was an absolutely incredible ride for me as a fan, and a dream come true to see the Sox win the World Series. As a fan growing up, especially of the White Sox and Blackhawks (always my 2 very favorite teams), all I asked from the mythical sports gods was to see each of them win it all once. I'll always hold my teams to a high standard, but the 2005 White Sox and 2010 Blackhawks will always hold a special place for me because they fufilled my one wish as a sports fan, and that is to know how it feels to see your team be the best. Yeah, that whole first part I couldn't agree with more. Bmags, I had a Spanish class the next day (I usually had two classes on Tuesday/Thursday, but the other was cancelled the week before). All we had for that day was to watch a movie. I missed quite a few days in that class, so I figured I should go. I was never happier to wake up for an 8:00 a.m. class, sitting there not paying attention for a second to that movie with a huge smile on my face. I went to school in Massachusetts, but I had a teacher who was a Sox fan. He grew up in (I believe) North Carolina and grew up watching one of the Sox minor league teams. I had his class on M/W/F, but I sure didn't go to his Friday class because it was my only class of the day. I sent a cigar for him with another friend who had the class with the message "I'm sure you understand why I'm not there."

QUOTE (balfanman @ Oct 25, 2010 -> 12:07 PM) I think that it might get cool in San Francisco too, but it probably won't be near as cold as New York and Philly will be. Haha, for sure. I can just recall seeing fans in San Francisco/Oakland in the middle of the Summer wearing sweatshirts at games on TV.

QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Oct 24, 2010 -> 11:41 PM) Bengie Molina is getting a ring no matter what. Life's got to be good for him. That's awesome. Why are they waiting for Wednesday to start this series, though? I mean, there has been plenty of time between the LCS's and now, plus you can have games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday if you start the series on Tuesday.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 25, 2010 -> 11:54 AM) And like I said above...no one should care. I agree.

QUOTE (balfanman @ Oct 25, 2010 -> 08:47 AM) I am excited for this series for many reasons, one of those being the "new blood" involved. I really could not of cared less if it was the Yankess & Phillies again. I liked well pitched games and this series promises that. I think that one of the bigger reasons that I prefer this matchup is the weather. Thanks to the idiots that run MLB this series is going to run into November. I would much rather see baseball played in Texas and San Francisco in November than in New York and Philadelphia. The games in Texas will probably have weather that's ideal for baseball, but doesn't San Francisco get pretty cold at night due to being right on the water?

QUOTE (flavum @ Oct 24, 2010 -> 11:05 AM) I don't know how anyone can say this World Series is "garbage" without one pitch being thrown yet. Seriously? It's baseball. They won the games fair and square to get there. To write it off before it even starts is exactly what the ESPNs of the world are training people to think---if the Yankees or Red Sox, or other east coast powers don't get there, it's not good enough. Well, f*** them. Enjoy the games no matter who is playing, and maybe they'll be great games. Maybe they'll be boring. Who knows? But to write off this series before it even starts...I really feel sorry for those people, because they don't remember a time when people weren't obsessed with a few teams and what a network's ratings are. Who said it would be garbage? The ratings will be bad and that's just stating a fact.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 24, 2010 -> 12:29 PM) Various supreme court decisions take precedence for me. Zoinks! Why the hell would the Supreme Court get involved in that? Either way, I'd take a botanist's word on the subject over a judge.

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Oct 22, 2010 -> 04:17 PM) Weren't you like 2 when the Bears won the Superbowl? You didn't live through that title run like you did with the Sox. I could care less about the 85 Bears because it means nothing to me. I respect history, but it brings me no emotion. The Sox World Series run took over my life, just like many others. I'll never be sick of the 2005 season. To say the very least, that is how I felt, too. I'm positive that I took time off of my lifespan with all of the worrying/pressure/excitement. October of 2005 was consumed by the White Sox.

Whenever I have no rooting interest in the playoffs, I can usually pick the team that will eventually win it. I've had a feeling about the Giants since the postseason started, so I'm sticking with them. Having said that, I don't care which one of these teams wins it. The only player on either team that I dislike is Hamilton (I don't care about his drug problem, the guy's a hero because he did heroin while guy's who never touched drugs in their lives aren't worth mentioning).

You would think that Fridays are the most enjoyable weekday, but I almost never have a lot of work on Friday and they just drag on and on. I have no idea how to entertain myself.

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Oct 22, 2010 -> 09:56 AM) Martin Freeman is and has always been the perfect guy to play Biblo. I'm very excited to see things finally kicking into place for The Hobbit. I didn't know who he was by his name and recognized him after looking him up. He definitely has the look.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 22, 2010 -> 07:07 AM) It's Always Sunny was hilarious. It was pretty good. I'd say the third best episode so far. The Mr. Magoo part was hilarious.

Does anyone here play Mafia Wars still? Knight got me into it even though I told him I would probably get obsessed with it (thanks, Knight Anyway, they just released the new city and I mastered it in a day. Yikes.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 21, 2010 -> 09:05 AM) Love that Uribe got to be the hero. Obviously the Giants have a huge advantage at this point, but I think that advantage becomes even bigger because of Lincecum's attitude. He doesn't seem to be a guy who would let the importance of this game get to his head. With his team up 3-1 in the series, I think he goes out there tonight with a very relaxed attitude and just dominates because he knows that he doesn't have to be perfect. And I'd love to see Halladay get rocked. I like the guy and all, but I love to see teams' big acquisitions go down in flames when they're needed the most. Perhaps I was wrong about Lincecum. He's pissing all over himself.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 21, 2010 -> 09:27 AM) If he pitched in game 6, he would be on only 3 days rest. I believe there has been lots of talk in the past how Lee doesn't want to pitch on 3 days rest and I'm not sure if he ever has. I think they are saving him for game 7, not with the WS in mind, but just thinking that Lee on 4 days rest >>>>>> on 3 days rest. Colby Lewis is no slouch either, and he already beat Hughes once in this series. I didn't know he was against throwing on 3 days rest. Oh well, I just hope they end it as soon as possible.

QUOTE (docsox24 @ Oct 21, 2010 -> 10:00 AM) There is some good stuff this year but the thing I don't like is there isn't that one big case going on throughout the show that you are trying to figure out. I really don't care one bit about this murder case Deb and the new cop are chasing. It isnt very interesting compared to the past seasons big cases. Maybe because it has 0 ties to Dexter. Another thing when that IA guy was interviewing the captain chick, was he implying that he wanted her to give him the best BJ in Miami and he would drop all charges? I believe so.
