I don't think it matters at this point. We're done.

QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Sep 8, 2010 -> 07:07 PM) Tom Paciorek with Frank Thomas Thanks, and congratulations on your first post. I can't remember Wimpy as a Sox announcer, so I couldn't figure it out. -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 8, 2010 -> 02:33 PM) It is pretty sad. It's like we gave them our best shot and they still knocked us to the canvas. It's their year unfortunately. And yes, Jimmy Thome is a big part of their success. And might lead them to a WS berth. Hell, if they make the playoffs and we don't, I would like them to win it all.

QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Sep 8, 2010 -> 02:50 PM) Whoa there, it's your tone; it's the wrong tone. When, during any of this pile of generalizations, was the condescending, high school tone necessary? I never liked Thome, you apparently did. In fact, I grew up disliking him on the Indians; you apparently didn't mind him those years. So he hit a few nice homeruns for the Sox over a pointless 4 years did he? Good for him. Good.....for........him (slow, sarcastic clap). I swear some of you act like Jim was Mr. White Sox; Mr. homegrown, glad to be home, king of the South Side. That's Buehrle, Konerko, Baines, Thomas territory that he has no business being in the same discussions with. He grew up a cub fan, played forever on the Indians, co-founder of CWS Corpseball, played on 4 meaningless Sox teams that didn't accomplish dick. What's the big deal? I don't think Thome was the missing piece this year; the first 2 months were. We disagree; why give your arguments that personal attack feel, man? I'm not understanding that avenue. Corpseball was around long before Thome arrived. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 8, 2010 -> 12:41 PM) Brian Anderson already killed this team enough while he was here. You really hate Anderson, huh?

Wow, there are almost no new posts since I last checked the site last night. I'm guessing people are demoralized. I know I am, after going 7-1 and losing half a game.

it is always sunny in philadelphia, pennsylvania!

The funniest part of the show is just seeing Danny DeVito in his pajamas (basically just the white undershirt). I laugh each time I see him wearing that. -
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 8, 2010 -> 08:19 AM) This is one of the MANY great things about SoA. You never see it coming.

QUOTE (IceCreamPants @ Sep 7, 2010 -> 09:32 AM) Zyrtec is a live saver for my allergies and I have them horribly bad right now. To the point that I have sneeze streaks at least 20 times straight and my eyes and toungue itches. But if I remember to take the Zrytec I am all good. I just napped, and the headache and stuffiness are much more bearable. But I sneezed so hard earlier that my whole back and arms felt like I got hit by a truck. I mean, I've never felt a pain from sneezing, but this crippled me for a few seconds.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 7, 2010 -> 08:09 AM) Those meds probably don't have antihistamines, right? So you are probably allergic to something. Late August is a common time for allergies, one of the weeds gets bad this time of year. Try Claritin or the like. I should've mentioned, I took a Zyrtec yesterday (much earlier in the day). I'll try a Claritin now, though.

QUOTE (kapkomet @ Sep 6, 2010 -> 08:37 PM) Give it a rest. "Censorship"? I always love that arguement here. Since it's what the owners decide what's allowed to be posted, "censorship" is a lame arguement just trying to draw attention to the fact that you've been told to knock it off before (not tonight, but in the past). Suggestion: go find something else to do tonight, so we can enjoy your posts tomorrow. That's a nice way of saying, stop it right now. I'm not one to get offended easily, but even I was thinking that picture was unnecessary. Plus, I really didn't want to look at it over and over again.

QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 7, 2010 -> 12:16 AM) You managed to nail the symptoms of baseball retardedness that has plagued some of the members here. They'll even post stats to support their baseball retardedness. Wow, quite the post. Do yourself a favor, if you hate what everyone else has to say here, and continue to make posts like this. It'll get you banned quicker.

In your experience, what is the best medicine for an incessantly stuffy/runny nose? I've had this problem for about a full day now and Nyquil/Theraflu have done nothing.
-
I really enjoyed Machete.

QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Sep 5, 2010 -> 08:15 PM) Ugh, plus the whole catwalk thing in Tampa...If Karma's real, either they saved a bunch of orphanages from raging fires, or Joe Mauer's about to get hit by a meteor. Ha, thanks for that one.

If you could be a member of the Whitesox organization...

QUOTE (MuckFinnesota @ Sep 5, 2010 -> 12:27 PM) TV Broadcasting: The guy in charge of the control room (Jim Angio?) Radio Broadcasting: Producer of Rongey's show. White Sox behind-the-scenes job: Scott Reifert White Sox front office: Kenny Williams White Sox player: None of them. If I had the balls to go out and play, I'd be Buehrle. White Sox coach: Joey Cora Wait, who is this? -
I can safely say that I've never been that drunk.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 6, 2010 -> 05:45 PM) Wow. My reaction, too.
-
Great, great win. We did exactly what we needed to do and more with the sweep.
-
Very nice wins, but I couldn't bring myself to watch either 9th inning.

I exaggerated a little for effect. Obviously he's not B-movie bad, but he's not a very good actor.

QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 3, 2010 -> 08:29 PM) The more previews I see for "The Town", the more I get jacked. Ben Affleck, bad actor/good director.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 3, 2010 -> 04:13 PM) So glad I finally discovered Seth MacFarlane's twitter. I can't stop reading it.
