Benetti to Tigers
Wasn’t on the site all day yesterday or earlier today, so I’m only just learning about this now. I don’t particularly care about this move, but man, what does this franchise have going for it? I mean this honestly. What does this team have going well? Every aspect seems to be going down the shitter.

Cease
I’ve read that you just replace “x” with “Twitter” in the url. Regarding trading Cease, I think people are overvaluing him. The time to trade him was before the deadline last season. His second half really made me think he’s injured or that there’s something bigger going on.

Mike Clevinger declines player option.
You might be the only person on Earth that’s excited to do that.
-
Tim Anderson Free Agency Discussion
Purely circumstantial, but I know very few people who are fans of him. Exactly. Think his attitude would get better if they declined his option and then offered him less money?
-
Tim Anderson Free Agency Discussion
Some other piece of crap shortstop, but for much less money? Seriously, who cares? Anderson is no good to the Sox, and the Sox are going to be dreadful no matter who is playing that spot. So might as well save money while sucking. I’m all for it. If you’re not gonna be good, might as well be bad. And if you’re gonna be bad, might as well be historically bad. And I think we may be just that.

State of the Sox: Obvious to Everyone
Yikes, that’s gotta be a bad free agent pool. Even if the Sox had the money to go out and buy anyone they wanted, they would still have no chance at competing with that little talent available.

Mike Clevinger declines player option.
Yeah, he’s not getting that done. Not even a proven, great GM could do it.

RIP Coach Robert Montgomery Knight
Yes, when someone created a thread to remember the person fondly.

RIP Coach Robert Montgomery Knight
I’d say s%*#-talking a person who just died is, in itself, an attempt at being edgy. Edit: Especially in a thread created to eulogize the person.
-
RIP Coach Robert Montgomery Knight
I agree that it’s in poor taste to s%*# on someone who just died, unless they were absolute monsters. But it’s a fashionable thing to do now. People need to be edgy. I don’t understand using full names so much though ?

Tony La Russa
You just know he’s been aching to get that monkey off his back.

Kim Ng walks away from Marlins
Point taken. But I’m looking at this from a league-wide perspective, not just from our pitiful point of view.
-
Kim Ng walks away from Marlins
Kim Ng hasn’t been a GM for 122 years. She’s been a GM in the era of 40% off teams making the playoffs. It’s not that impressive. And the Sox are an overall embarrassment of a team historically, especially for a major market. Using their futility to counter the above paragraph isn’t fooling anyone.

Kim Ng walks away from Marlins
40% of the league makes the playoffs. It’s not that impressive. That’s not to say that Ng isn’t as good as the hype. She may be. But one playoff appearance with a quick boot doesn’t prove much. She’ll need to do it again.

2023 World Series- Rangers/Dbacks
Also, I feel like Bochy wanted to use him there.

2023 World Series- Rangers/Dbacks
I don’t think I’d trust that guy in a close situation anyway. He seems to make it more interesting than necessary each time I’ve seen him finish a game.

Ah, that part of the sport eludes me. It probably makes more sense when looked at through that lens. Thanks.
