New sheriffs in town.

Eloy said earlier that he 's going to hit 40  home runs this year. If he plays 150 games and hits 40 home runs its going to be a great year for the team.

I agree.

Imagine the trade deadline haul we could get if he is on pace to hit 40.

Ironically, with guys that have these long injury histories, failing to get them enough rest is likely to get them hurt.

People on the board were always screaming about TLR giving everyone too much rest. There is a fine line between the concepts.

It's baseball. Play them every single game.

Seriously, Eloy is a DH who has to run max effort maybe 1-2 times a game. There’s no reason he shouldn’t be playing 150+ if able.

It seems like many time when the Sox hitters hustle down the line on grounders they wind up with a hammy or a groin strain. Wonder if the Sox can correct that finally. Somebody's always pulling up it seems.

It was the whole deliberately playing at 75-85% effort that caused the problems.

Same debate as that not going all-out in the NBA All-Star games and playing conservatively or hesitantly might even lead to more injuries…although that would be incredibly difficulty to quantify.

Yeah they are like a suit you rented for a wedding, but then the wedding got canceled and you never got to use it, so now you just have to wear it every day to get your moneys worth anyway even if it is not, like, the BEST thing to do. It's just what has to be done.

Oh no there were many, many, many things that caused problems.

Yoan seems to have structural issues in his back. Good luck getting over those. Eloy has chronic soft tissue injuries, those should be easier to prevent and treat in theory.

Contract year has a way of helping players miss less time due to any injury.
