QUOTE (chwhtsox @ Mar 3, 2009 -> 03:32 PM) I guess I'm lucky that I picked MY favorite characters then to be honest, it was a toss up between Jax and Opie. Opie has so much promise as a character. I cannot wait to see what they do with him.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 3, 2009 -> 01:37 PM) Go... and tell your friends I let you live, that Mr. Eko let you live. OK, I don't watch this show, but I need to know the context of when this line was said.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Mar 3, 2009 -> 12:25 PM) good point. I'd love to see the guy have a good year, but of course I'm torn. He'll be helping the twins. But if he could have a big year and sign a good contract that sets him up for life, that would be nice. He's one of the good guys. As long as his team is awful, I'll hope he does well to sign a nice contract.

QUOTE (Paint it Black @ Mar 3, 2009 -> 01:47 PM) Gahh it's hard to say that you want on the internet because you have no tone. I know that below the belt shots are illegal in MMA, it was more my way of saying "dude falls, ass gets kicked fight over in 30 seconds." It's not that I hate MMA, rather, I like the technicality of it, the history, and I like that it isn't marketed on the "extreme!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" plan. But I get why so many more people prefer MMA to boxing. Also, hope I didn't come off as a prick with my last post......i swear I'm not that angry haha Na, you came off more as a douche.

Official 2008-2009 NFL Offseason Thread
Milkman delivers replied to knightni's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I've been saying that Leinart won't be a good NFL QB since before he was drafted. He's a pretty boy, nothing more. He never got touched in college, and that made me believe he'd be a piece of glass in the NFL. I still stand by that. -
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 3, 2009 -> 01:59 PM) Not surprising, considering its the same guy who brought us 300, one of the most laughably bad movies I've ever seen. In what way? I agree that it was way over the top and historically inaccurate, but those were some of its intentions.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Mar 3, 2009 -> 12:17 PM) Yeah I was going for the "Who's on First" type joke there. Apparently I failed. Like I said, I figured you were joking. There are just a lot of idiots on the internet, though, so I figured an explanation would be useful.

QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Mar 3, 2009 -> 02:16 PM) I liked Madeline better. That girl from the lake too. winnie never did it for me... Winnie Cooper was a b****.

QUOTE (chwhtsox @ Mar 3, 2009 -> 02:00 PM) Marlo - The Wire Paully - Soprano's Drama - Entourage Jax - Sons of Anarchy Dr. Spencer Reed - Criminal Minds Winnie Cooper - The Wonder Years (huge crush when I was 11) Jax is the worst character on that show. I honestly like every other character, minor or not, more than him. I love that show, though.

Soxtalk Sponsorship on Baseball Reference
Milkman delivers replied to knightni's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (rangercal @ Mar 3, 2009 -> 11:12 AM) Yes, He mentioned he received your $1 for full sponsorship of the Herbert Perry page. May I suggest an affiliated link going to the Tshirt http://www.pottymouthshirts.com/shirtpages...E-MILK-MAN.html You surely would make your $1 back with that method. jk Oh, knight has already told me about the cheapness of the Herbert Perry page. I am probably going to sponsor it very soon. I just haven't felt like doing it just yet. And I wish I looked like the Milkman...all awesome and s***. -
QUOTE (Paint it Black @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 05:42 PM) I didn't even notice it until you said something about it. I didn't even read the thread. I saw the title of bunch of times, and it suddenly just clicked.

Soxtalk Sponsorship on Baseball Reference
Milkman delivers replied to knightni's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Just to clarify, did you get the money I sent last time? -
QUOTE (farmteam @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 10:46 PM) Who? I think you're joking, but I'm going to operate on the assumption that you're not. He's the guitarist and main lyricist for The Who. He basically went insane trying to find a single note that would unite all the people of the world (or something to that end).

QUOTE (Cali @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 09:06 PM) Theres no such thing as an end all be all in music. Not everyone likes everyone. People hate Nirvana, People hate The Beatles, Bob Dylan etc. Music is too subjective to ever have a end all be all... Tell that to Pete Townshend.

QUOTE (Paint it Black @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 06:09 PM) Since you have WWE avatar, I'll try and ignore that. All MMA fights go like this: Guy falls on ground, other dude on tops pummels him in the nuts, fight over. At least in Boxing, there is a chance of a late round comeback which is exciting. All the MMA/UFC crap is Joe Roegan yelling into a microphone about chemically enhanced meat heads. I take Boxing instead of the flavor of the week, thanks. (also note to MMA fans, stop wearing shirts with awful designs on them. this also bothers me to no end) Well, many MMA fights end in straight KO's from the feet, punching in the nuts is illegal, comebacks happen especially when you can counter a hold/KO someone, and most of the guys look nothing like steroid users. Those are the problems I have with your statement. If you're going to generalize how a fight goes, you can say boxing goes like this: Guy dances around, throws one punch, lands it, dances around for remainder of round, rinse and repeat.

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 07:49 PM) Even people who dislike Colin Farrell (myself included) have to agree that he was awesome in that movie. Definitely one of my favorite movies of 2008. It's because he plays a dickhead in it. For people who don't like him (like myself), it makes for a good character.

I JUST got the joke in the title.

QUOTE (bmags @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 04:42 PM) I think vampires can die from sunlight as well, dudes. But, Contreras is black. Now, I haven't seen the Blacula movies, so I don't know if that still applies. I'm sure Dusty Baker can weigh in on this.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 01:38 PM) I think the Count still works quite well. He's undead. You can't hurt him without stabbing him in the heart with a piece of wood. He's playing the wrong sport, then. With all of the broken bats today, he's taking an awful risk.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 11:39 AM) The question, I guess, is "how much is plenty?" and whether they saved any or all of it. Rumor is China's Zhang Ziyi never dates a guy with less than a billion dollars, lol. I would think B.A.G. might have the best situation of the three, with the seemingly two decade long residuals from 90210 episodes. I guess it's rough for the former gang, Jason Priestly and Luke Perry have pretty much stalled out in their careers, and Ian Ziering was dumped by his Playmate wife. Who would have thought ten years ago the most successful member of that show would turn out to be Hilary Swank? I can't believe you know this much about 90210. I had to google all of those guys.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 04:13 AM) My sister's bf is a big white sox fan and also interned at the radio station that Ozzie Guillen Jr does a radio show at in spanish and he says has heard ( I assume off the air) Ozzie Guillen Jr talking about stuff that Ozzie told him about Cabrera. Basically I guess he called him the biggest, most selfish tool to ever put on a White sox uniform in both his playing and managing days. Bigger then Thomas, Belle...supposedly when KW offered Cabrera arbitration ozzie told him if he accepts it and stayed here (which it looks like now he should've) he was prepared to use 24 men and charge his ass rent for it to stay on the bench all year... Don't know if it;'s true but certainly sounds like ozzie loved this quote from mlbtraderumors.com Well, Josh Fields for Scott Rolen and Brandon League would make sense for the White Sox, if they ate $6-8 million of Rolen's contract and/or the signing bonus, but it would block Viciedo for two seasons at the position where he has maximal value. Otherwise, it's not hard to imagine the logic of spending $5 million per season on someone like Abreu for LF/DH/1B. In other words, which would have the higher payoff statistically, Bob Abreu for the 2009/10 seasons for $10 million or Dayan Viciedo for 4 years at $10 million??? In all fairness to KW, that contract now seems a little like an anomaly, but it's still nothing compared to the money teams like the Yankees, Cubs and Braves have outlaid on multiple players over the long-term...or that crazy Raul Ibanez one in Philly. Something a lot of people on this site were saying very early in the season.

QUOTE (bmags @ Mar 1, 2009 -> 11:07 PM) case in point. You wish you had comebacks like that.

QUOTE (bmags @ Mar 1, 2009 -> 06:54 PM) eh, I knew it was intentional. The internet is pretty lame. So's your face.

Shipps, you realize "I" and "am" are two different words, right? Ha, and I haven't watched the news since high school.
