Yeah i remember ST he completely sucked, and i was pissed. But then i read an article that had coop saying that he looked great on the mound this ST. So i guess they were just makin him plug fastballs in there all day, knowing that his curveball was his best pitch.

I fail to recognize that quentin has put himself before the team. That was the strangest post I've ever seen.

When i see the list of terrible players, along with the probability of us getting the good ones, it makes me think Brian Anderson is speedy enough. and i hate me some brian anderson...

the way coop has been able to elevate the game of so many young pitchers, i think we should stick to the method of finding high potential, undervalued pitchers. CC sabathia is awesome, but I'd like to have the room to go out and get brian roberts, melky cabrera, or nate mclouth.

If you move alexei up from the bottom of the lineup, I can't put him higher than 5th. If quentin stays as dangerous as he was this year though, you could make an argument that alexei would see great pitches in front of him.

Ozzie is probably tellin the team that baines is goin under the knife tonight, and it could be his last night on earth, so win one for the gipper!

while cabrera looked pretty foolish, he would have been a savior and a badass if he hits a double there, probably sparking the team enough to even get paul konerko pumped up.

post script.. any team sends the runner on that play no matter what the score in the game. most of the time he would have scored on griff.

I am baffled by this thought that griffey's throw was far from perfect. His form was perfect on the catch aside from catching the ball on his glove side(minimal time difference). He was clearly moving forward on the catch. He throws a one hopper strike to aj on the runner's side. Are you guys looking for an exaggerated crow hop that would have wasted more time just so he could get it there on the fly? Or do you want him rediculously running full speed at the ball on the catch? Great play, great throw, the twins made the right call for the situation, being that griffey doesn't have the greatest arm.

i thought it was hilarious.. I wish they had a clip of swisher in his tree house collecting baseball cards

you're just gettin started, the offseason cracks me up on this site. People just get bored and write funny stuff, or you'll have the people that speculate and create the most rediculously awesome line ups that we will have in the next year. Although October threads are pretty cool too.

Brian Anderson sees an angel massaging konerko's shoulders in the dugout. kenny williams pinch hits Konerko for quentin, and then the angel of shoeless joe comes down and stops the knuckle ball in mid air so paulie can take a huge hack at it. Konerko proceeds to hit a weak grounder to the third baseman, but shoeless joe (being invisible) grabs it and creates all sorts of confusion and strange misdirections so that paulie hits an inside the park homerun to win the game.

I hardly ever post because there are much more knowledgeable posters than me, but i also do not like reading through 100 posts that say the same thing over and over again and i would hate to contribute to that. However, I come to this site every day and if i lost it today I'd go insane. This is easily the best sox forum and its gotta be one of the best in the MLB. I don't need 800 pages of idiots giving their opinions and changing the subject when i can come to soxtalk and read quality posts from reliable sources.
