All good things come in threes

Call it what you want. It’s bullshit. Hard to feel good about any of it, even the young starting pitching. They are about to deal Crochet, who is a big part of that. This thing he is trying to convince everyone, that it’s all different now, I should definitely believe in this NEW process. There is nothing here that I’m excited about because it’s hard for me to believe any of these players will have a future here if they actually pan out

““The message I conveyed to the staff is they need to continue an environment for these guys to get better. There’s parts of the team to feel good about and parts we don’t feel good about. And we certainly need to see progress in all of these areas. I know they’re staying at it, they’re focused, but we certainly need to start seeing progress as the season comes to an end in the next couple months.” gaslight supreme. f*** this guy

Pedro “Chris, I put the mayo, the celery, and the salt and pepper in. I promise, this is chicken salad now. This is my MOTHERS recipe”

What are your favorite baseball movie scenes?
Kyyle23 replied to DoUEvenShift's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I think the Jake Taylor “call his shot drop a bunt” scene in Major League is especially good because of how quiet and dramatic it is, crowd and music muted and just him trying to beat out the play, with Uecker calling it softly. It’s a scene unlike anything in the rest of the movie really -
Eh, I don’t agree. Raising your son should not conflict with your job in the manner that they made that happen. Hahn shouldn’t have allowed it and it should not have been requested. That entire situation sucked and nobody came out looking good imo

Mully said the other day that no Sox team has ever had multiple losing streaks of 10+ in a season. Not sure if that is true, but hats off to Pedro for this momentous accomplishment if it is true
-
I think, that if Pedro can turn this around and get this team into the playoffs, he should be manager of the year

There is a tremendous amount of coping happening on the Score right now lol. They are NOT happy -
Bannister was good stuff on the score today. Highly recommend you listen to the segment if you can, it is in the 3rd hour of Bernstein and Holmes today

Like, everyone understands that 600M is chump change in this discussion, right? This stadium is not gonna be on the Ms it’s gonna be in the Bs.

Can you try and explain this like I’m 5

How much is a guy like Fedde worth in a trade?

I don’t think any of these things are connected. Crochet is a unicorn right now and nobody knows how much he will or should throw going forward and that’s gonna impact any deal. Throwing 6-7 innings tonite might actually make another team reconsider because you are pushing Crochet’s arm into innings it has never approached -

They pulled him specifically for that All Star appearance, so he would be fresh -

I understand it, Fedde is doing something right now he has never done in the majors. Wondering if he is going to turn back into a pumpkin is absolutely something another GM should be thinking about when dealing top prospects -
Clown shoes organization man. Yea they are totally gonna build us a new stadium and pay for good players too

That website isn’t even up yet lol

7/22 Sox @ Rangers - already started

I agree totally that the way they lost was the dumbest of his late game decisions, using his closer (if you want to call Kopech that) early and bringing in guys that are just as shaky is just pulling names out of a hat at this point, it’s hard to say any get the job done, and he can’t control that. But the little things he could control, like loading the bases for a guy who just smoked a double in the 9th, he is just so abjectly bad at it -
Even if you tell Charlie Brown that Lucy is going to pull the football, he is still going to believe she will leave it for him. Alas

Watch Grifol use Kopech next to try and close again because he looked so tough in the 7th yesterday. And then watch it blow up in his face -

lol not that any of it matters, but why did they choose to pitch to Lankford? He smoked that double in the 9th, just seems like pitching to Smith was smarter there
