  1. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 22, 2012 -> 10:19 PM) Yeah I consider our team about as deep as they come at QB. Maybe we can keep Nathan on in the practice squad if he clears? Lol, he gawn. Already signed with the Jaguars
  2. Well Amendola won't die of a heart attack now
  3. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 22, 2012 -> 01:18 PM) I actually feel bad for her. Its obvious to me Sandusky is guilty. Making his wife go through that and having her testimony dissected by the media makes Jerry even a bigger scum IMO, if that's even possible. I would feel bad if I didnt know that this stuff happened right under her nose and she played ignorant. If she really walked in on something in the hotel room, as a mother some sort of warning bells should have been going on in her head.
  4. QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Jun 22, 2012 -> 01:15 PM) Because it's primarily a pissing contest between 3 people? If you dont like it, dont read it. I havent seen anything besides discussion. They are toe-ing the line, but none have crossed

  6. i have no analogy. I am seriously going to find a brick wall and repeatedly slam my head against it after reading this thread
  7. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 22, 2012 -> 11:17 AM) Thibs is a good in season coach. But there is a downside to pushing your players to hard during the regular season. Also I think the Bulls roster is why the Bulls are in the championship conversation. Rose won MVP last year, it wasnt because Thibs drew up amazing plays, it was because Rose is a dynamic scorer who can finish when the play has broken down. When I objectively look at Thibs, I just cant consider him a great coach, he just uses personnel very odd, he doesnt really call great offensive plays, and people say he is an amazing defensive coach, but most of his defensive schemes are man to man. Very few times do you see a zone or anything unusual to try and trip up the other team. I dont watch George Karl's team enough to really have an impression of him. Yeah, but come on now, Rose was hurt for more than 40 percent of this season. Thibs still managed to get the 1 seed and tied the best record in the league. You just said there are 2 coaches that added wins to their team. Looking at this past season, you cant help but think thibs added wins
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 22, 2012 -> 08:43 AM) I remember the olden days when Bevington and Phil Garner used to just hate each other. It usually meant at least one beanball war a season. i remember when Garner and Hawk hated each other. I believe they were firing shots at each other through the newspaper. I also think there was an incident when Tony Phillips told some fans he would meet them behind the bleachers to fight. Looking at stadiums nowadays, it is truly amazing to think that County Stadium was a Major League field. It looked like a AA field.
  9. QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Jun 22, 2012 -> 09:13 AM) So, when is this thread going to be locked/deleted? why should it be?
  10. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jun 21, 2012 -> 03:12 PM) f***ing Tigers win again. of course. We gotta start winning games now Well duh.
  11. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 22, 2012 -> 08:34 AM) Greg will blame this on the players not executing. Their good May was entirely attributable to Guillen. He played dominos on the easy level in May. In June, it automatically moved him up to the next level, and it wasnt so easy anymore
  12. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 22, 2012 -> 06:46 AM) I'll be there Saturday. Patio party galore. Hopefully Humber doesn't s*** the bed. If he does, I blame you
  13. my work would block it AND i would get busted for attempting to access it
  14. do you all hear that? It is the worlds smallest violin, playing the worlds saddest song. Never forget
  15. QUOTE (Pants Rowland @ Jun 21, 2012 -> 11:44 AM) Because he sucked at dominoes? My god. How can you say that about a WS winning manager.
  16. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 21, 2012 -> 10:04 AM) As oppossed to the great hard working KW and the oh mighty JR, who use the media every chance they get. No one dare question them EVER! how often do you hear JR in any interview? It seriously happens like once a year
  17. QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Jun 21, 2012 -> 08:55 AM) KW has never really had stellar talent to deal. I'll let y'all draw your own conclusions on that. ah, so he never had stellar talent, but if he did he would have traded it away instead of putting them on the major league team like he did with your so-called "B-level" talent. got it.
  18. I just dont understand what the point of plunking De Aza was. They won the series, why do that?
  19. QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 11:13 AM) Jeeze man - Lots of hate in your message. He would be way better than Hudson, Morel, or anyone else we have in the minors right now. That's a fact. If that pisses you off, be mad at KW, not me. No, that is your opinion. Not a fact. Josh Fields washed out of the league for good reason
  20. QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Jun 21, 2012 -> 08:05 AM) Do you really think the only difference between Himes and KW is draft position? If those 4 had come through a KW regime, there's a decent chance they would have been peddled for mediocre veterans before reaching the show. I totally disagree with this. KW doesnt have a long track record of giving up stellar talent. He usually peddles away mediocre talent, but a lot of it. Gio is an exception, but that guy was traded 4 times before he ever hit the bigs, and for some pretty good players.
  21. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 06:57 PM) Anyone that averaged 7 ppg in a career is pretty far from great. This is one time where i will say his ppg does not show what kind of a player he was. He was pretty key for multiple championship teams
  22. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 11:32 PM) Still, it was a way for the Cubs to get the last word in. They took 2 of 3 and plunked DeAza. Cubs win; Cubs win.
