sounds just like Ozzie. Although I suspect if it came out of his mouth, Victory would be saying "Thats right! Fire Williams!" -

Looking like a pretty good english translation/remake. Pretty crazy that Rooney Mara's grandparents founded the New York Giants and the Pittsburgh Steelers, that is some NFL royalty blood right there. Although, it isnt as if they tried to hide it with her name, lol

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Sep 23, 2011 -> 07:16 PM) No. You guys don't even understand what I am even saying. I don't give a s*** if Hall plans to bring a knife on the field and stab Tony, the point is that the NFL, and all the leagues really, is so strict on things like this that if a player publicly states his intentions on injuring a player and as many other players as they can, then he needs to be disciplined accordingly. You think I am actually worried about DeAngelo friggin Hall hurting Tony Romo? Not only will he probably not even come close to Romo, who honestly fears a hit from Hall? But if he is stupid enough to say this s*** to the media, then he NFL needs to show him why he can't say those things. can you name an instance where the nfl came down on a player who said he intended on going after a players injured bodypart? because i cannot think of one i mean really Joe. you are crying about what DeAngelo Hall said. that is just ridiculous. this is as bad as the people crying about Rex Ryans language on Hard Knocks -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 23, 2011 -> 05:53 PM) Well, hitting a guy in the ribs really isnt dirty, so I dont see the error there. If he was going to take out a knee or something it would make sense that the comment was out of bounds. If he was trying to chop block someone or blindsiding someone away from the play, and talked about it, I could see an issue. Hall is going to have to go at Tony Romos ribs, he cant go high OR low on a quarterback anymore thanks to concussions and Tom Brady, so if he is going to come in hard at Romo, he is going to hit his ribs. Too bad, it is a mans game. if Romo wants to suck it up and gut it out, be prepared -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 23, 2011 -> 04:45 PM) That's football. There's no rule against tackling someone in the f***ing ribs. Jesus f***ing Christ. F*ck. lol, it is not ok to talk about hitting a guy and attempting to injure him. it is only ok to do it, and get paid for it, because that is your job. but please, do not talk about it. -

Ok, if you dont like the WNBA, there is no need to come into this thread and insult the sport. That doesnt make personal attacks ok, but if all you have to say in this thread is something that equates to "this sport sucks" and degrade the quality of the athletes, then dont enter the thread. Thats it.

QUOTE (shlammajamma @ Sep 21, 2011 -> 01:31 PM) Guys.... It is so obvious that Victory is a troll. He joined right as greg's insanity regarding ozzie was starting to reach new levels. He based his routine off greg, this is what trolls do. He is basically a more trollish version of greg. thanks for the heads up -

QUOTE (SpainSOXfan09 @ Sep 21, 2011 -> 12:00 PM) Why would anyone sacrifice their career knowing that if they did? Just sayin.... i think he tried to play through the pain. when it happened it probably wasnt career threatening, but he pounded on it until the leg completely buckled. at that point, it became quite a mess and career threatening -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 21, 2011 -> 11:26 AM) Worth noting...it was his health that cost him his starting spot a couple years ago...it wasn't his health that has kept him from coming up though, that's been the fact that he's had minor league options left and was on 2 teams with other OF options. It is also worth noting that De Aza's injury was considered career threatening. It isnt as if he had a sprained leg. He broke his leg, then played for like 3 weeks on that leg, and finally completely tore it up running to first base -
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 20, 2011 -> 02:18 PM) I think you're about to see a Johnny Ace, Miz, Truth, Nash stable. Even though Ace is horrendous, I'm fine with a new stable, my only hope is that they don't team up Punk and HHH to take it down and that's exactly what it looks like is going to happen. As soon as they threw Miz and Truth out of the building, the first thing that came to my mind is "they are recreating a psuedo-NWO and Nash is going to be the leader" I think Ace is going to fade into the background sooner or later, everyone knows how much he sucks in front of an audience. The only reason I think they keep trotting him out there is because of the heat he is generating

Cooper and/or Ozzie status could affect MB coming back next year
Kyyle23 replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (VictoryMC98 @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 04:46 PM) I don't think.. I know I did.. Lets recap shall we.. S/he argument is that, we replace Lilly in August, for Dunn. Now, s/he makes no mention of when.. Lets for argument sake state August 1. And why does S/he pick that month, and not prior.. well that's easy when you look at some facts...August was by far his most productive month, hitting .265/6/14...we know that now. At the time Lilly just hit .188 for July, and .212 for June. Here Comes Ozzie on August 1st and goes.. You know what, I am benching Dunn for a guy hitting .200 over the last 2 months, and has over the course of a season been a bench utl player, and has failed as a starter in his career when given the chance. I can just see how SS2k5 and other Ozzie haters, just love this move.. And argue with others on how this is putting the "best" players on the field. See now that s/he knows the numbers, it easy to sit back and play the What if game.. which is what Ss2k5 did.. and no one wins at that game, because it can be played till the end of days (bad movie by the way). It pure speculation, zero facts. just make sure that the tinfoil hat isnt too tight as to restrict bloodflow. -
