  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 2, 2011 -> 09:33 AM) If I do that I also have to do it for Urlacher who did the same thing a couple years ago. I dont recall Urlacher requesting a trade.
  2. If he blows up KW and reveals something only Ozzie knows, that could be an alltime backfire. Ozzie gets fired, and Joe loses pretty much all he has
  3. I think you should remove Briggs and put a $$$ sign in his place
  4. i believe a CTL poll this week stated that 33-35 percent of fans wanted ozzie to stay
  5. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 1, 2011 -> 06:40 PM) Post All-Star break...when they made their compelling "Braveheart-ish" vows to lead the team Rios 31/142, 2 HR, 12 RBI's, .218 BA, 566 OPS Dunn 17/99, 2 HR, 6 RBI's, .172 BA, 523 OPS Hey, they said they were going to put the team on their backs and carry the team. They never specified which team
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 1, 2011 -> 01:29 PM) 1.) I can't remember the player but I remember this board freaking out one game when Ozzie did use splits. I think it was Quentin he sat a game after he hit two homers or something because he was 0-for-20 against the pitcher and this board freaked out. Ozzie can't win on this board EVER except from a few of us.2.) Rios?? KW should be fired now for picking up Rios. Nobody in baseball wanted Rios. It would be nice of you to actually quote something out of these imagined scenarios you present.
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 1, 2011 -> 01:25 PM) After this weekend it finally is over. I would think Jerry will start the housecleaning after this weekend series. LOL, you think people are going to start losing their jobs on September 5th? Really?
  8. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 1, 2011 -> 11:23 AM) Loud mouth personalities as coaches only work for a couple of years before the team tunes you out. (See: Scott Skiles) I dont see this comparison at all really. Skiles is a hard worker, demands hard work and accountability, and the NBA is a completely different beast when it comes to those types of coaches. Ozzie is a loose, loud mouth, "if you play good you are find with me" type of coach. Obviously accountability isnt among his strong suits, considering some of the bad players he has forced in the lineup in the past 6 years
  9. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 31, 2011 -> 08:01 PM) I decided to throw together my own Madden cover. Now that I've done the pain in the butt part of all the background bears s*** and all that, if anyone has a player request, I'll hook it up. Going to do a HoF one for sweetness next. OH NO THE MADDEN COVER JINX! Seriously though. thats awesome Steve
  10. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 31, 2011 -> 04:18 PM) After a 6 run deficit in the 1st?? with the winning runs on base in the 8th and 9th innings. With insanely bad managerial decisions. Yes, this one definitely got away, it was a winnable game
  11. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Aug 31, 2011 -> 03:56 PM) How do you feel about Peavy? Peavy, Ozzie, Rios, and Dunn suck Dont spin it. They do.
  12. Fathom, go ahead and add this one to your "10 games that got away"
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 31, 2011 -> 01:19 PM) Rios with misplay/bad read/late break number #171 this season. Why, oh why, does Ozzie still keep running him out there? because he is experienced and makes more money
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 31, 2011 -> 12:04 PM) About 3 resoddings. If i am not mistaken, this is not resodding. This is a completely new natural turf being installed by a different company
  15. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Aug 31, 2011 -> 01:03 PM) Are you serious? yes, i am
  16. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Aug 31, 2011 -> 12:52 PM) Rios fuggin' sucks... anyone who defends him is obviously a relative or a troll. I just noticed he's batting fuggin' 4th again... is Ozzie just that much a fuggin' stubborn mule? Rios was trying to fuggin' lose the game for us yesterday but was given gifts because the Twinkies can't play fuggin' defense. If we lose today because ADA is out for this bum... so help me... stop saying fuggin to get around the sweat filter.
  17. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Aug 31, 2011 -> 12:41 PM) They won last night with him hitting 4th, scored 8 runs. right. all scored because of rios
  18. fathom, you and I both know that there is only one situation where Ozzie left the Sox and he wouldnt go scorched earth, and that was if he retired and left of his own choosing. Its going to be ugly
  19. No Marty, the other reporters are calling out Cowley for losing his objectivity and being in bed with Guillen. He has no journalistic integrity when he writes these bulls*** columns. Spiegel was right today when he said Guillen is just using him
  20. I agree with these sentiments, as I have agreed with them in multiple other threads. Im not closing this, but we dont need to open up a new thread every time Ozzie pisses us off. The server just doesnt have the space
  21. did people notice Hawk mention last night that Konerko will not be seeing any good pitches to hit while Rios is hitting behind him(unless Rios gets hot)? When Hawk is criticizing the lineups, something is seriously wrong.
  22. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 31, 2011 -> 09:14 AM) Viciedo isn't a number four hitter but Rios is according to Ozzie makes me cry in my sleep hey now, lets all be like greg and applaud Ozzie for being honest and saying that Rios' experience and money makes him a better option than a kid who has been raking all season long. LOLLOLLOL Ozzie will do so awesome in Florida where everyone will love him and fart rainbows
  23. Nash didnt pass his physical, that is why HHH cancelled the match
  24. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 30, 2011 -> 03:44 PM) why don't they just call it an M? the right side up W is called an upside down M, thats why
  25. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 30, 2011 -> 03:04 PM) Do I really need to post Strasburg's peripherals from last year? The guy was virtually unhittable from day one. Well, he only stuck around for 64 days(12 starts). Pretty much everyone predicted his elbow would blow up(it did). And in his last couple starts before he went down, he was getting hit. I totally agree with SS2K5, Strasburg is going to have to compromise something in his repertoire of pitches if he wants to stay in the bigs, and that could lead him to being a mere mortal on the mound with occassional flashes of brilliance.
