QUOTE (bmags @ May 18, 2010 -> 07:27 AM) all this lebron to chicago hype just seems like the beginning of crushing, bitter disappointment. Its just nice to think of the Bulls as a major player in FA again. If he stays in Cleveland or goes to NY, I will be disappointed but not mad, if he goes to NJ or Miami, I will be pissed off.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ May 18, 2010 -> 07:41 AM) When my wife heard him talking on the radio on our way home from last weeks camping trip, she says to me, oh, it's Tom Paciorek! And I was like, "who the hell is Tom Paciorek?!" She told me it was Wimpy, which is the only name I ever knew of him having. As far as I was concerned growing up, he was simply Wimpy, no last name, either. I don't remember him sounding so...I don't know...wimpy? He definitely did, you were just young and dont remember it much. Its been 10+ years since you heard him calling a sox game, you probably forgot how "squeaky" he sounded before

QUOTE (fathom @ May 17, 2010 -> 03:10 PM) Palmeiro was banging Sandberg's wife, and that's why he got traded. What happened with Royce Clayton? Frank Thomas's ex, I believe. Mother of his children. I believe they were in the middle of the divorce though
-
QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 17, 2010 -> 02:54 PM) He plowed Cindy Sandberg and then was traded. Weird, the way I heard it Grace nailed Cindy, and thats why Sandberg had his mini-retirement
-
QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 17, 2010 -> 02:49 PM) Palmiero for the Cubs. I never heard it was Palmeiro. I heard about Grace, and even Dave Martinez

Delonte West is a bit on the bats*** insane side, so I wouldnt put it past him, but it seems pretty damn nuts even for him.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ May 17, 2010 -> 12:14 PM) Pistachios are dangerous. You start eating them and than like 3 hours later you just ate like 10 pounds. I like walnuts and almonds when they are in other foods, but not by themselves. and the tips of your forefinger and thumb feel like you nicked them with a razor from pulling apart the tough shells

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 17, 2010 -> 09:07 AM) Those would be his two best options, imo. Playing with Wade is a pretty damn good incentive if I do say so myself. I could easily argue that the Heat offer the best chance for Lebron to win. Plus they have a much better coach and could always have the option of letting Riley coach again (which might be attractive to LBJ). Bulls offer a very good chance to win as well and the bigger marketplace. Miami offers the great chance at winning plus a real nice city with much better weather and of course no state income tax. Well, they have a coach. Spoelstra is better by default because the Bulls dont have anyone to compare him with. Someone on ESPN 1000 was saying that Miami is having a hard time getting good players to come to Miami because it is just too much partying, and the fans dont care about the team

If you are a peeping tom, make sure the house you pick is not occupied by an MMA fighter http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/broward/c...0,3600046.story

Gavin lost his composure, and the game, when Alexei/Pierre/Rios let the ball drop between them(which i blame on Alexei). His stuff was good yesterday, he was cruising until that happened

Im no fan of Calipari either, but if he gaurantees Lebron, then i will certainly turn my head the other way

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 17, 2010 -> 12:30 AM) Wimpy was great. His voice seems to have changed though. I guess it's a while since he was here before. I thought the same thing about his voice, I remember it being a little more squeaky. One thing I found weird listening to the broadcast, Wimpy was doing voiceovers for commercials. Why would they have him do voiceovers for commercials if he was subbing for one series?

Did John Paxson piss in Jeff Van Gundy's cheerios or something? http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nba/news/story?id=5193092 Him and his brother have been talking about the Bulls all offseason, and not much good

QUOTE (whtsoxfan @ May 16, 2010 -> 03:56 AM) Watched through the seventh whats the issue with Thornton's elbow? Nothing, they are saying muscle spasm. It looked like he was shaking his elbow out after a pitch and the trainers and ump came out to the mound, Thornton said he was fine and threw a few practice pitches, then got Maier to pop up to end the game. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 15, 2010 -> 11:46 PM) Great win. Don't like when Peavy gets all mad when replaced. It was the right call to bring in relief. He gets taken deep and he's a loser tonight. Gotta trust the bullpen at that stage. Glad to see us get five runs after looking like s*** early. Is Beckham coming around slowly I hope? Oh and I forgot. Nice job, Peavy. Good effort again. That was the ace mentality Greg. Peavy was pissed at himself for giving up the single and being unable to finish the game, he wasnt mad at Ozzie for taking him out. Most Aces get like that when they are taken out after throwing a good game.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 14, 2010 -> 03:20 PM) He must not have respected him too much. after the falling out, no.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 14, 2010 -> 09:33 AM) Unless Meche comes out of the closet and shows Yost how happy he is that he is now the maanger. Buerhle needs to be pitching like game one of the season especially with our inconsistent offense HAHA! What!?! -
Wimpy had the same effect on Hawk that Stone does. He made Hawk laugh a lot and Hawk respected his view on the game because he was somewhat oldschool. DJ never got that respect and we all heard it in the broadcasts
-
Mike Brown deserves to get fired for the way the Cavs gave up at the end of the game last night, if not for anything else. I couldnt believe they let the Celtics basically dribble down the clock with a minute left.

im guessing the park district asked the bears to help pay for it and the bears said no

i could see Shaq hanging it up similar to AI, saying that he would rather not be a bench player at this point

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 13, 2010 -> 02:11 PM) Well, there does seem to have been a recent influx of young guys who think the game owes them something (thinking baseball needs them rather than them needing baseball). Sure. But thats not Bradley. Bradley thinks everyone is out to get him.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 13, 2010 -> 12:54 PM) As long as you win. And in the playoffs. Can you imagine seeing Noah Lebron and Rose streaking down the court on a fastbreak? I dont know who could stop them

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ May 13, 2010 -> 12:46 PM) If Chicago fans can learn to love Dennis Rodman and A.J. Pierzynski and ignore the fact that they tend to be pricks during games, they sure as heck can learn to do the same with LeBron James. All of this talk about such issues would be gone and never heard again the day LeBron signs here if it somehow happens. absolutely, I said this a few days ago. All is forgotten when you put on the jersey
