QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 02:47 PM) At the very least, a good sign was that Sutton and Ferguson did not look like wasted talent in the 3-4 five tech. there were a few flashes. I still dont think McLellin is the guy, he just cant shed blocks, his tackles are usually after the damage is done. And Vereen, oh my god Vereen

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 02:21 PM) Well I for one don't think he did a very good job of living up to being an $18m guaranteed QB last year, so yea I do think that money held them back from spending on FAs. That said...you're not wrong on the 2nd part. His performance is not what we are discussing here, his contract is. Spending a lot of money on free agency means you arent drafting well, and that is what got the Bears where they are right now. Cutlers paycheck shouldnt have an impact on the quality of the team around him, If the bears had merely mediocre drafts going back to the Angelo era, they wouldnt be at such a talent deficit

Chris Tannehill/Score trying to make Harrelson look bad...?

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 01:54 PM) I presume it because that's how I got into baseball along with my friends. Can't tell you how much fun we had calling our games using every Hawkism in the book. He's similar to Dick Vitale. I may not enjoy them as much now but I think they are important in their respective positions to hopefully draw in a new audience. Kids nowadays are not the same as when me and you were kids. And Hawk is not the same now as when we were kids. -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 01:47 PM) At this point, no way to do that other than patience. At least you're 1/3 of the way through the guaranteed part of the contract given to the QB. Cutlers money isnt holding back a talent infusion. The Bears need to draft better, thats all

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 01:35 PM) Hawk is presumably great at getting children interested in the White Sox and we desperately need that. I hope he stays on forever. Who presumes that? Kids dont care about Yaz and Hawks golfing career. Whoever presumes this is wrong -
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 11:40 AM) oh? he received the greg775 Royal Seal of Approval for banging hot chicks. That is something to be engraved on a headstone

QUOTE (TRU @ Aug 13, 2015 -> 05:10 PM) yep, gonna go with Dolphins over Bears tonight 35-0 Predicting Suh hits Forte so hard both knees blow out and he falls backwards into Cutler blowing his knee out, Bears go 0-16 this year. QUOTE (TRU @ Aug 13, 2015 -> 05:18 PM) And since you're such a fan of this, after the sack the entire Miami defense is going to break out into a choreographed rendition of the thriller dance being extra elaborate with the arm swings None of this happened. You sir, are a dickhead and a liar

the home plate ump screwed up and thats why I think he allowed Scioscia to complain. He either confirmed to Flowers that it was an out by a caught third strike and didnt need a throw to first, or said he was out on the tag. You could tell Flowers was ready to throw when he popped up, and then didnt for a reason.

QUOTE (harkness @ Aug 13, 2015 -> 10:33 AM) Here ya go johnny come lately... I didn't say managing NEVER effects the outcome of the game. They play 162 games. I thought the lack of fundamentals and the decision making were going to cost the White Sox the game... luckily it didn't. I'm not sure knowing where to throw the ball in every situation is instincts either... that being said I acknowledged that it could be on Abreu. But just looks like you are cherry picking chit. Cherry picking? It is 100 percent true what he said, this thread is just complaining to complain. You would think the Sox lost last night

So Uribe's World Series 9th inning catch into the stands doesnt get any love? Rizzo made the "catch of the century" against a terrible Brewers team fielding a AAA lineup? It was a really good catch, but goddamn there have been better catches in bigger moments. Hell, Dewayne Wise's catch was better given the circumstances

QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Aug 13, 2015 -> 01:41 AM) Season 2 is the fourth most wastched season in HBO history, when the ratings for each episode where counted up. http://i.imgur.com/BDZvA1E.jpg?1 I doubt that to the extent because it seems like youre forgetting the show gets A-List actors and they each bring their own audience. That graphic is counting season one and two together, which is weird considering it says "one season listed series". But for whatever reason it shows 2014-2015, maybe because of the length of the show?

QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 12, 2015 -> 09:54 PM) So as someone who doesn't live in Chicago, is it fair to presume we're talking about Bernstein referencing a reporter's "giant boobs"? He also got a lot of s*** for making a comment about A local weather girl hooking up with Patrick Sharp

QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Aug 12, 2015 -> 05:39 PM) Josh Trank is lawyering up and is preparing to go to court against Fox. His (deleted) tweet on the night before the premiere was EXTREMELY ill-advised and stupid for his career going forward. You just have to take your lumps throughout the theater run and blast Fox when you are done with the red carpet.

QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 10, 2015 -> 08:18 AM) Now that she's 18, I feel comfortable saying that Kylie Jenner is the 2nd hottest Kardashian. I still have a thing for Kourtney

QUOTE (LDF @ Aug 12, 2015 -> 11:19 AM) i just do..... fans on other sites want to hang kane and persecute him, while others are calling his a tramp etc... i always maintain the the sox fans are what i said, b/c we can see the bullcrap being shoveled at us. the fans are a group of show me..... lastly b/c those who have responded have come from the sox fan based. also remember, this is my opinion. Well yea, of course. But if it is their own player, then i bet the tune changes

QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 11, 2015 -> 03:33 PM) It doesn't appear it was sucker punching. Yea, Geno was sticking his finger in the guys face when he got punched

QUOTE (scs787 @ Aug 10, 2015 -> 03:08 PM) If you believe his pro day results, he's really effing fast for a OLB. His 4.44 40 would have destroyed Beaselys 4.53, and his 3 cone would have been top 5 as well. His 15 reps would have been last though. 18 was the lowest at the combine. Starter on a really good defense at Miss St. Could be an interesting little project for Fangio...Get em in the weight room. Seems like they are looking at him as a ST player first and foremost

QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 10, 2015 -> 01:35 PM) That came out after I wrote that. I wasnt intending to call you out, I also had no idea what the trade was for and assumed a pick was coming back. Sorry if it came across that way
-
QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 10, 2015 -> 11:52 AM) Twitter says undisclosed draft pick. Kind of remarkable there, I wonder what conditions you put on it. 7th rounder if he makes the 53? They traded Groy for OLB Matthew Wells, not a pick

QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 7, 2015 -> 10:27 PM) Trout hits homer 33 and 131 of his career on his 24th birthday. Not a bad player. Kid's got a future in this game... Also his third birthday homerun
