QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 12, 2013 -> 09:27 AM) IIRC, even with Peppers's contract on the books fully...the Bears will have well over $30 million in cap space going into the offseason. If they want to retain Cutler they have plenty of room to do so and should be able to make a number of other decent additions as well. I dont know about that. There are a lot of key players off the books next season, like over half the team. It is gonna be a crazy offseason

Isnt Peppers cap hit insane next season if he stays on the roster? I thought I remembered when they reworked his deal this year, it basically sealed the deal that he will not be a Bear next season

Im still annoyed that Luol Deng has torn tendons in his wrist that have not been fixed for 2 years. He put it off for the olympics, and then last season, and then just never got it fixed. WTF

Atlanta Braves to leave Turner Field
Its just crazy to me that the Braves are moving 20 years after they built a new stadium. And the media outcry i am reading is more "I cant believe they are moving to the suburbs" more than "i cant believe they are MOVING". Could you imagine if all the sudden the Sox were like "Lease is up, We are out, Rosemont here we come!"?

Is there a market for Dunn
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 12, 2013 -> 08:24 AM) They got a .704 OPS out of their DH spot last year. Is Davis moving to DH? That number isn't terrible compared to the rest of the league but it's a place they could find an upgrade if they want to catch the teams ahead of them. Adam Dunn sported a .655 OPS as a DH last season, so are they upgrading their DH position by bringing in Dunn? He is redundant in thier order, and doesnt make them better. However, if they want him, by all means.....

Is there a market for Dunn
QUOTE (oldsox @ Nov 12, 2013 -> 07:49 AM) I always hoped Baltimore would be interested in Dunn as a DH. Short right field, etc. I don't see anyone else being interested. Baltimore really doesnt need him now, they have a much better version in Chris Davis

QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 12, 2013 -> 07:18 AM) Hahn has always been our designated Boras whisperer. Dayan is represented by Boras, FWIW Iirc Dayan's contract was negotiated by a different agent, and Dayan left that agency for Boras. Only a few Sox players have been Boras clients, Crede and Uribe being the ones that stick out

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 11, 2013 -> 02:41 PM) Knocked Up or the 40 Year Old Virgin...Anchorman, etc., were a lot more light-hearted. That's the only movie I actually liked a Seth Rogen character. Funny People, Drillbit Taylor...THis is 40, not so much. Knocked up is something I would consider in the "depressing topic, makes you laugh" category along with its sort of sequel. Single motherhood due to a one night stand isn't exactly light hearted. And yea, Funny People for sure.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 11, 2013 -> 11:42 AM) Whoever has to play the Saints, Broncos (assuming Manning's healthy) or Seahawks on the road, forgettabout it. Remember when everyone said that about the Broncos last season? And the Ravens came in and won a shoot out? Funny things happen in the playoffs

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 11, 2013 -> 11:02 AM) I can see where some would have that reaction. Part of it's Apatow backlash...and it's not exactly a feel-good story, it's quite depressing, and it feels like a screenplay derived from a true/autobiographical underpinning. Maybe we've all seen enough movies where Paul Rudd basically plays the same character. On the other hand, there's a comfort where he keeps playing a predictable character over and over again... Up In the Air is a much better film (it was on t.v. yesterday), and while it's grim and depressing at many points, it also has an uplifting ending in a sense. Apatows movies are mostly depressing comedies that make light of real life scenarios. When you look at them, very few are "feel good". They just make you laugh

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Nov 11, 2013 -> 08:44 AM) The Packers injuries this year went from depressing to lol yesterday. I was watching Scott Tolzien taking snaps from TJ Lang(never played center before) throwing to Brandon Bostick. It sucks, right?
