booing would mess with his mind more.
  3. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 05:36 PM) I read on the Twinkies board that the Sox and Twins were interested in Kenny Rogers. The poster got the news from ESPN Insider. So my question is, if we get him what's the deal with the suspension and his appeal? I woudnt want him and that whole story ruining team chemistry
  4. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 05:45 PM) If she had died also, this probably would have been ruled an accident, that she lost control. I wonder how many other people have committed suicide in this way? Thats an interesting thought.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 05:36 PM) The guy called the manager of the best team in baseball his "enemy". The guy turned down the richest contract offer in our team's history to go play an AL Central rival. What else can we say? Sweep there asses and then say you left the best team in baseball
  6. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 03:30 PM) Jenks will be going back down for El Duque obviously...he hasn't pitched since Oakland. My big question is this; Ross Gload's rehab assignment supposedly ends tomorrow. Can anyone tell me what that means? Is there any way that the team can keep Gload at AAA after his rehab assignment is over? Will we actually be forced to activate him tomorrow? Or can they keep him down without placing him on waivers? Anyone have any details on the exact status of Gload? Then willie and jenks will probaly go down. Unless KW has a trade that opens up a roster spot by tommrow.
  7. QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 03:35 PM) From the looks of it , it seems Jenks will be the one to go down! Welcome to soxtalk
  8. The red sox would be stupid to give up arroyo for burnett
  9. TWINS LOSE 12 GAME LEAD!!!!!!!!
  10. SWEEP! Garland another great game
  11. QUOTE(upnorthsox @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 03:21 PM) Jenks or Willie, probably Jenks. Im surprised there not pitching jenks now to give him 1 more shot before going down.
  12. QUOTE(danman31 @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 02:21 PM) Wow, that race for 4th place must really be heated.
  13. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 01:25 PM) IMO there were a lot of funny parts in it and a lot of real dumb parts overall. I told my friends I was never so torn on a show but after I found out he was 29 I can't even watch it anymore. what he is 29. There is no way he is 29.
  14. QUOTE(Cubs Suck23 @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 01:25 PM) Chisox.com message board says Peter Gammons reported that Burnett&Lowell will be going to the Whitesox is it official or just rumor?
  15. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 01:21 PM) you have never seen pods back off as soon as he hits the track
  16. Pods can barely play Left he would suck it center and does when he plays it. IMO Pods would be a much better fielder if he was more agressive there are plenty of catchabal balls that go to the track and as soon and pods hit the track he stops and backoffs and waits for the ball to bounce back to him. Rowand gives it his all and wants to catch everyball hit into the outfield i.e the play in left on thursday or friday.
  17. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 01:08 PM) No, not that a pitch has been thrown it was a 38 minute delay, which isn't too bad at all. Garland should be alright (thats just like a long inning). But I would probably have him on a shorter rope (pitch count wise). Now if the Sox go on to pound out hits or something the rest of the inning and it turns into an even longer delay, that would be another story. Inning over no need to worry
  18. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 01:07 PM) The tarps are off? I'm still getting a rain delay screen on my xtra innings. There playing right now crede just fouled out
  19. They came back without any warning. HAwk goes were back and then there was a pitch no warning what so ever.
  20. QUOTE(Southside hitmen @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 09:37 AM) As they desperately try to find starters, just two words for the Yankees: "El" and "Duque." Unlike several other so-called pitchers they've acquired in recent years, Orlando Hernandez is proven in the American League. More to the point, he's proven in New York. Plus, he's usually a monster in October. And the Yankees shouldn't give up on October. Not yet, they shouldn't. A Yankees person said they actually did call about Hernandez several weeks ago, well before their pitching situation grew this desperate. However, they were told the White Sox couldn't trade Hernandez unless they could first acquire a hard-throwing starter such as A.J. Burnett or Jason Schmidt. The Yankees' own chances to land Burnett took a major hit when Chien-Ming Wang went down with shoulder trouble. Anyway, one scout cautioned, "Burnett's not the guy for New York," adding, "With his stuff, he should be a lot better than [37-38]." Florida seeks a prime major league-ready starter and significant bullpen piece for Burnett, who's in his walk year. The Orioles rebuffed Daniel Cabrera for Burnett. The White Sox probably would have to surrender dynamic young righthander Brandon McCarthy for a shot at Burnett. 3 way deal
  21. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 08:42 PM) Did anyone happen to notice what it reads under their photo in that article?
  22. QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 12:14 AM) What type of cancer was it? I thought it was testicular but i'm not sure. yah it was
  23. QUOTE(sircaffey @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 12:03 AM) The guy battled and won against cancer...I highly doubt it. Yah your probaly right
  24. QUOTE(EvilMonkey @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 12:00 AM) My younger boy played t-ball this year, and they did keep score. However, none of the kids threw hard enough that if it his another kid it would prevent them from playing! That is just sad. Id imagine if you got hit by a baseball in the head no matter how hard it was thrown it would hurt not keep you out of a game but hurt. Know imagine if you a kid and you got hit by that baseball in the head i doubt your going to play even after your done crying.
  25. QUOTE(Winning Ugly @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 11:56 PM) I don't know who started the Peavy rumor, but it's a pipe dream that's not gonna happen. Waste of thread space. We have already established that
