So can we talk about the new fireworks? I seriously don't know what's up with the green things they shoot off that form an x for every home run now. What happened to the old just regular fireworks.

QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ May 23, 2012 -> 09:47 PM) I love that it's getting close to June and Konerko's batting .381! Leading the American League
-
Paul Konerko now leads the American League in hitting. Yes that means his average is higher then Josh Hamilton's.

Dear lord that baseball was killed.

I'd be down

Put me in the we can do better, but I'll still happily deal with Hawk group.

Indiana's terrible play finally catching up with them.

QUOTE (kwolf68 @ May 21, 2012 -> 06:39 PM) Literally in tears watching Gio Gonzalez pitch tonight. Absolutely electric stuff. He's become one of those guys who I make sure I watch almost every start of. So much fun to watch.

President gave us some love during his NATO news conference speech.

Greg, the sox got the best revenge they could have possibly gotten this weekend. They swept them which is so much better then a couple of beaned Cubs.
-
Didn't watch. I'm assuming I should watch the Byran Punk match?
-
Are the sox like CM Punk? BEST IN THE WORLD

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 19, 2012 -> 10:10 PM) Greg, I suggest you go to amazon.com and start quoting from the new Morrissey book on "Ozzie's School of Management." It will give you insights into why he stuck with Dunn and Pierre all season, why he thought it was insulting to play Omar Vizquel in blowout games (either way), why he soured on Nick Swisher and why he likes to curse so much. They have the first 10 pages or so of the book there. Why did I not know that this existed.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 19, 2012 -> 12:18 PM) I just find the taste of alcohol unappealing. A lot of college kids I know try to pretend they love the taste of it and drink it all day, but I find it hard to believe. I would take a can of pop over a beer every day of my life. I only drink to get drunk, or after my softball games when the whole team goes to the bar, I'll go and put down a few Rolling Rocks just as a courtesy. Look around I'm sure you can find a drink or drinks that you actually like the taste of.

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 19, 2012 -> 09:11 PM) No harm, no foul, but if the Chicago media continues on the roll it is on, they'll be writing and talking about how the Cubs now have momentum for Game Three. Yesterday was Wood Day. Today will it be the "Cubs never died" day? Seriously who cares. We won no matter what the media decides to cover.

I love you ticket oak.

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 19, 2012 -> 08:26 PM) This is fun. I hope Robin doesn't start too much of a Sunday lineup tomorrow n I hope the Tank/Dunn/AJ show rage on. He can't there's literally no options with Konerko and Morel out. This is the lineup you will most likely see tomorrow.

John Danks owns the Cubs.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 15, 2012 -> 02:36 PM) 3) No, I act like YOU don't understand college, because clearly you don't. If you did, you would realize that getting drunk and being in pictures is a weekly occurrence. Anything else is just speculation and something there is no evidence of. Show me pictures of videos of Kaner at Madison choking girls, getting in fights, harassing the police, ANYTHING. Post 'em, come on, you seem so sure of it all. Everything you said about college is correct, but guess what Kane isn't in it he's an employed adult. I'm sorry I missed this thread for a while. This is a fun discussion.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 15, 2012 -> 02:22 PM) 3) I think myself being nearly 22 years old means I understand how people our age act. I go to college, a party school at that, so I kind of understand how college parties work. People get drunk, people get annoying, people take a bunch of drunk pictures. That's all we really know about Patrick Kane's weekend. Oh, and he and his crew all wore similar attire (Looked like a Beer Olympics type-thing to me). Party on, Kaner. Haha I'm 22. I just graduated College, sure I can go out and drink(like I will tonight) but it's no longer socially acceptable to go out and get smashed and blacked out. Those days are over. Kane is 23(?) those days are over for him as well. Enjoy being 21 and most likely your last year of college because after that its expected that you grow up.

I think I just fell in love with Addison Reed.
-
The guy was electric before his injuries and pitched one of the best games of all time. I respect him and don't care about the love fest.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 18, 2012 -> 03:24 PM) Samardzija got hosed on that 2-2 pitch, but leads to a Dunn walk, which is nice No he didn't that wasn't a strike.
