For example Jacob controlled who he wanted on the island, and maybe he made a rule or didn't allow people to have babies on the island because of it. There I just used information from the show to make an answer that was not given to me. It's not that hard.

I believe the Bomb never went off, and it ended up being the failsafe that Desmond used at the end of season 2. But that wouldn't explain how they flashed back to 2007 randomly if it didn't go off.

Loved it. I don't think I could be more satisfied. Anyone whose b****ing about what the island is and all the mythology I'm sorry you didn't realize the show was character driven when you watched it. You set yourself up for disappointment by expecting anything more then what we got in that department.

There is such a wide range of opinions on last nights episode on blogs, lostpedia, and other things. Ranging from worst episode of the series to best episode of the series. I liked the episode. I didn't feel it was one of the best of the series because its not even close, but I still liked it. I think whether someone liked it or not fully depends on if they expected everything to be answered or not. The writers are not going to give us the exact literal answer of what the island is, because that in the end would take away from the greatness of the show.
